I hope they don’t split up Imperium. I think there’s still more to squeeze out of the group, especially if Gunther becomes world champion. Having babyfaces feud against an entire group is way more interesting than one on one. And they don’t need to only be goons. When Evolution was around, Randy, Batista, and Flair all had their own feuds and stories in addition to being lackeys for Triple H.

Mind you, they plausibly _could've_ met that far back as Marcel Barthel (Kaiser), a.k.a Axel Dieter Jr, comes from wrestling stock. His father Axel Dieter wrestled all over the place for decades from the '50s onwards. Bret Hart mentions him in his book - he was this gnarly, hatchet-faced old grappler still holding down the main event babyface slot in Germany circa 1981, even though he was about 50 at the time, when a young Bret was getting early experience performing over there. Dieter [Sr] only had kids between his late 50s and late 60s I believe, hence the big generation gap to his son performing in WWE today.

It's heaps better than "Marcel Barthel". Plus Ludwig Kaiser fits his german descent even better and is a much better ring name. Same goes for Giovanni Vinci who used to be "Fabien Aichner". You can't take any of those names seriously. You could argue that calling someone The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, Stone Cold and many more were ridiculous names as well.

I met both a bunch of times because I trained in the same facility as Marcel did with Karsten back then. A german wrestling school in my neighborhood, I couldnt resist :) I love seeing both having the success they deserve.
