Certs are 100% the way to go. However, almost none of the Power Automate actions support it(except http) plus some orgs don't have the Azure know-how to automatically revolve them hence just using the app reg client secret.

is secret the recommended way in 2024? Azure now recommend certs to access entra registrations etc
