We love Varadero. Wife and I are heading soon to escape Eastern Canadian cold. Stay
across from Calle 62 bar. Beautiful island and beautiful, friendly people.

Nice airbnb. Talking to the host is always a must. We get most of our tips that way. That Sabor Cubano rest looks very good. Great video guys!

My friend and I stayed in a Casa particular around 27th street in Cuba in 2017. We have gone back and stayed with Rebeca and Juanito many times since and have been blessed with the greatest hospitality and authentic Cuba they could give. I can’t wait to go back and see my Cuba family

Go to Matanzas city 30 km far from Varadero. For authentic Cuba mood. Visit La vigía square, La libertad Square, Calle Nalvae, Monserrat velbedere for Yumuri vallée view and Canimar yatch tour for beautiful Canimar river trip.

Every time we drive through Matanzas we think we should stop and look around. It looks lovely. Thanks for the tip!

Awesome!! I was thinking about going to Varadero but ran out of time. I'm not a fan of tourist towns, so it's great to know you can still have an authentic experience.
Probably my biggest issue in Cuba was that I found the Spanish to be so different from Mexico, it was like a completley different language!

The Tao of David Thanks for watching! And happy new year! Varadero is definitely a touristy beach town but we still had a great time and found that there were authentic experiences to be had for sure!
We are working on our Spanish lol. But ours isn’t good enough yet to be able pick up on all of the differences. We did have an Airbnb host who told us how different the Spanish can be though. Thanks again!

How was the weather (temp) in January? We are going in Feb and I am nervous it will not be the hot I am used to when we go in April or May..

Cher Hi Cher! We found the weather in January to be really awesome. It was great for swimming and sunbathing though in the evenings it did fill a little cool. The highs were probably around mid-20s Celsius. Hope that helps!!😁
