Thanks, that AKG microphone is one of the ones I'm looking at. I did find that the Zoom H6 XY, along with an AKG C411 PP does a pretty good job of things, but the 451B should do a better job than the XY from the Zoom. I use a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 for my vocal mics, but had better luck on the zoom with the 411PP mic. I was also thinking of maybe a matched set of Rode NT5's might be a good fit...decisions, decisions, decisions ;)
Nice, the AKG Is definitely a high quality mic for its price. Ah okay, so you plugged the mic into the zoom? Sometimes I wonder about the 2iI2 as I have had issues with some mics through there. Be interesting to hear how the rode NTIs work out I was considering getting them for a while. The Neuman KM184 matched pair would be amazing I think, but a little more pricey!
@@RobertStubbs I get a lot more headroom through the Zoom than the 2i2. I find the same thing with my Behringer mixer. The 2i2 works great for my AT vocal mic and with the Sure SM58, but I don't see the same performance with the AGK contact mic. They've changed the mic preamps in the newest version of the 2i2, so they may of fixed that part.
Hi, where you‘ve got this rope for the rav? There are a lot out there on the market. But they seem to be smaller than yours. Is The dampener effect still the same?

Hi, I got the rope with the rav when I first bought it from Ravvast! It does have an effect which is probably more obvious when recording, thanks
