I was reloading .45 ACP 185 gr. using Titegroup powder. My weight spread for 5.9 gr. was between 4.7 and 6.5. I took the powder mechanism apart and cleaned everything but still couldn't get a consistent powder reading.
How do you dump the powder out of the funnel after you are done reloading? I just got my xl750 and I am setting it up. I have used a rock chucker for years and with that I merely unscrew it, take the lid off and dump it back into the original container. I presume I can do the same thing? Also, what has been everyone’s experience with how consistently it throws powder?
Santa is going to bring me one for Christmas! SO, will you be continuing this series on the XL 750 including regular maintenance? I never like to assume it will be exactly the same as the 650 (but really close).
Gary is the best! Now, the backwards baseball cap.... I’ll never forget my baseball coach forbidding the players on the team to wear our caps backwards. I follow that direction to this day.
Meat heads are just Neanderthals in my book. Did you see the die setup video where old Tommy Boy there cant seem to resist cranking every single bolt down like a lug nut? It would be hilarious to watch him set one up for the first time by his self. Probably would be a pile of scrap metal when he was done.
Butler st rail fan Lol!! “Tommy Boy” cracked me up!! Yeah, I was pretty frustrated at the time I made my original comment. This is just a very small base line to get you up and running. But there were so many more very basic things that are very important. I had nothing to learn from except these videos with the XL750 being my first press.
damon323 it can certainly be frustrating my friend. Hopefully it’s giving you good service now. If it’s not try taking steroids and over tighten things while not listening to very simple instructions. It worked for him.
Butler st rail fan Haha!!! Thanks buddy, it’s definitely going good now. But yeah, I’ll definitely look in to some ‘roids if I feel like stripping out my die lock rings😂
Yes how do you deal with this? I have tried dryer sheets and cleaning with alcohol. W231 powder sticks to powder drop and powder check changing my load weight each time?
I’m surprised they instruct to start midway through the published powder charges from the manual. That’s bogus. One should start low and work up. After loading for several auto loading pistols and rifles, I’ve never had cycling problems following a published reloading manual.
Agreed. The argument that "you don't want to load 500 rounds and find out it doesn't cycle" is just silly. Load a couple dozen rounds and try them out. Rinse, repeat.
Not only would I not have been able to set my machine up without these videos, I love that they are not a product pushing advertisement
This is exactly why we make these for our customers.
Just got my XL750. Thanks for the step by step vids. Can't wait to get started.
The best set up instructional videos with explanations and guidance on safety and efficiency. Best videos for loading on the inet.
Just found you guys , awesome vids, keep ‘em coming please!!
Nice video! Enjoying the series

Very good information to know. Thanks for sharing.
Great Video! How do I go about getting the same type of hat that Gary has. I love the camo print on it.
Great video. Thanks guys.

Dillon told me to resize the case each time I charge (when getting my charges set) so the powder funnel contacts the case mouth each time. Thoughts?
Lance Schul I guess they say do that to get the full extension of the measure but I don’t 🤷🏻♂️
The girls on the blue press don't come with the magazine so i'm guessing Gary doesn't come to your house to setup the machine.
What book is that?
Why would my 650 not drop constant. It dumps plus or minus .2 or 3 plus or minus never the same.
Call us

Watch the video, dont get hung up on the cap
LOL!! “We’re at 3.4 grams” “No...grains”
Somebody has smoked a little weed in their day😂
Men that load ammunition are not drug abusers. The point of manufacturing ammunition is to get rid of those people and others like them.

And static electricity!
