Just remember if you are spraying foam again you have to layer it otherwise the stuff in the center turns out like yours did. Just spray a little to where it will only expand a max of 4 inches let it cure then spray again let it cure then repeat until it's full.

I miss seeing Andy and his ladies as well as the ducks following you around the farm as you do your chores but they all look warm and comfortable in their winter home. Plus we can see Andy's crazy hair better. At least you still get Figaro's and Pluto's help as you do your chores Al. That was sweet to see Figaro's paw prints in the snow near the goat's pin. Libby looks adorable with her braces.

My grandpa had two metal buckets one the next size down from the other. Every afternoon when you clean out the wood burner put the coals into the bigger bucket and set the smaller one inside it full of water. Then in the morning dump the coals out in the pen over the heavy manure areas. Kept the water from freezing, chickens will eat some of the charcoal and covering the manure both made it cleaner in their pen and helped keep the acidity down for garden planting next spring.

We don't have TV so we mainly watch UA-cam if anything.... our (almost) 2 year old daughter is your biggest fan 🤣 When we put one of your videos on she says "See! See! See!" And then "Al, goats. Al, goats" over...and over...and over. Haha!
Enjoy your winter wonderland and congrats on 50k subs! What a milestone!

When the driveway is icey like in today's video, take Olivia down to the chicken coop in the sled. She'll be "too big" for the sled before you know it and you'll build memories that will last 2 lifetimes. (yours and hers). ❤🌅🌵

PLEASE! scatter some fresh straw, wood chips or whatever you use in the pen where the young barred rocks and Andy reside! Break open one of the bales along the rear wall and let them eat as much as they please and the rest will get scattered about and composted over the winter. It will make great compost for your gardening projects and make a better environment for the flock. Rick in Pa.

I noticed the boards on top of the goat Yeti are uneven and air can get in there. You should level the boards or put some weather stripping around the whole so it makes a good seal.
I really think that will MAJOR impact on the effectiveness of the system.

Just a thought but why not cut out a space under the foam below the bucket, and swap out some large cobbles or bags of gravel or sand that you keep in the house, the thermal mass would help the water stay warmer and for longer, since it would be surrounded by insulation and covered by the bucket.

Pluto looks cute in his sweater, and Figerooooo is on duty as always. Compost heaps are so interesting, because of their ability to recycle soil for our gardens. There are water heaters you can buy too, l see them all the time in birding magazines. Boy there is never a slow moment on the farm. Have a good day!🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲

Speaking as a wood stove user, it's nice to have a wood stove when the power's on too! Theres nothing like heat from a wood stove to defrost you when you come in from the cold.

Al- beautiful footage. Snow or ice on the trees is always so beautiful. What you left it in the pan😂😂. Accents lawdy be do I put up with that around here. Being from the South it took me sometime to get use to how fast with a mix of Canadian the Michiganders talk. We made a pvc water for the chickens I just love em but yes they freeze so guess whos going to try your trick and see what we can get it to do😱😀. We have some crazy weather movin in. First rain- sleet than snow followed by snow until Wednesday. Thats nice about the mix, that would be so nice if they did that up here. Have an amazing weekend.
