If the neighbor cannot have the decency to be thoughtful about your necessities, he's simply a very sad individual. Taxes? Such a pain in the proverbial!! 😊 Do you know, to secure anything inside your van, get Command strips. Use in the normal way, EXCEPT, Superglue the entire strip backing. If you want to remove the strip at any time, it works the same way. You just pull the strip down as always, as directed on instructions. It just means that you won't have problems with things crashing down off your walls. 😊 So rapt that life is starting to look up for you. Happy trails Jeffie. Look after yourself now. In the U.S., the AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) offers free tax filing services to eligible folks. Not sure if your CARP offers the same, but it might be worth looking into next year. I’m really enjoying the countdown to your departure next week! You’ve made such awesome progress towards getting back on the road!! I’m so looking forward to your new journey and adventures! Hope to see you make it to California to see the massive redwood trees. They’ll be worth the trip! ❤
You know, having your new lift access is like learning to drive an 18-wheeler, towing a trailer, or a High top. You just need to know where it's good for you to go and where it isn't, like making a u-turn, backing up, watching for low clearance, or getting in and out of the van. Pretty soon, you'll be saying to yourself "Hey, that looks like a good spot for me, too bad I'm not stopping!" 😀
You might have to park farther away, though, but that's okay because you have your chair. What you need is to get your stuff, like laundry, groceries, water, back into the van. 🤔 So maybe what you need is a little buggy or trailer that hooks up with your wheelchair. 👀🤔🤗
Jeffie Bear People have to be considerate and park their car to make it easier for you. The person you're talking about has a choice. You're being inconvenienced. We all live on the same planet so we should know when to be considerate. I have the problem with some smokers. Some understand and will sit by an open window in winter or refrain while they're with me. Others don't realize that they have a choice, I don't have a choice. So all I'm saying a little consideration goes a long way. So maybe people think before they get annoyed for wheel chair access, not smoking around people with certain diseases like cancer etc. They have to realize our health is on the line and take an extra step for us people on this planet. ❤❤GREECE

"3M", Industrial Strength, double sided tape, should hold that plate. It's pretty thick and comes in different widths. A strip along both the top, and bottom edges ... it'll be there for life. The only problem you will have is if you ever need to get it OFF ... 😉 As for taxes I don't really need to worry about them, these days, as I'm on a full "Aged Pension". I only ever went to a tax accountant twice, when I was working. Pretty sure they ripped me off. After that, I always did my own. Of course; the government(s) always change the rules, so, even though I always got a refund (sometimes very nice ones too) ... it always got less and less, every year.
