Spot on tip ! Plant, then pull. The lesson I had with Scott transformed my backhand, added close to 50 feet with that one adjustment. I can't endorse Scott more. Great teacher.
In addition to being a great teacher, Scott still bombs that forehand - even the trick shot under his leg. Thanks for the video. I need to work on this. This kind of drone footage can take DG coverage to another level.
Did it today..first hole....disc thrown through trees, and hit the basket...wow......Used it on most of the course where it would really help distance, and omg...when properly lined up, the discs went really well....as per this video. I'm a left hand back hand player, now up to probably 90 games since July, as I just started playing then.....this made an immediate impact *over 20 plus holes today)....Believe me...the thought that you are facing backwards feels weird...until that disc takes flight.....Thanks Scott...
That might just be the most helpful piece of backhand information I've recieved. I haven't thrown a disc yet, as it's 4am for me lol, but just doing that routine with a disc in my hand in my room i can 100% feel way more power being generated and i feel way more force being transferred to the disc as opposed to what i have been doing. Maybe now my backhand can start being more than just an upshot when a forehand isnt viable.
So weird I was just about to try and email you to ask about this excat thing! I have learned alot of my form from your older form videos and other videos online. I have recently been working on trying to reach back at the same time as my plant foot after noticing I kinda reach back early, pause my arm and disc, then take that last step, then start throwing. Like this guy it was a good way for me to keep from moving my hips too early. But its like I'm trying to transition into reaching back as I plant my front foot now... Can I still email you at the email address you mentioned in other videos for help?
Lol, I was trying to remember why you looked so different here compared to your recent reddit/Facebook stuff, and this video reminded me that you had hair!
I think he threw that close to, or maybe more than, 500'. I watched Scott play with Simon in a video recently. He still has world class distance, and skill generally.
For me it´s confusing that overthrow Discgolf tell me the (in my eyes) exact opposite of what you do from minute 3 on, especially from minute 4: ua-cam.com/video/Lcqxt2NjSfA/v-deo.html
Scott has been playing for decades. Not sure on the the history of Overthrow but I’d look at who has more experience playing and winning and go with that.
Well let's be honest here. For a guy who's been playing for a year his form is terrible. So the first steps starting to fix it won't take too much effort

What a transformation!
That’s the coolest follow on drone shot I’ve ever seen.
Damn, instant result there, can’t wait to try it out
Best advice ever 👍
Thank you Scott
Awesome. thanks for sharing this! Editing is slick & that drone footage was insane! I feel like I can throw better already 😁
Scott just casually bombing a 450 foot forehand at the age of 50 under the leg lmao. This man is the goat of disc golf
I am so excited for June 1st in Cleveland.
I attended his seminar here in KC in April - great experience and Scott is a super cool guy. You’re gonna love it!

Great stuff
Love the 420 time stamp. 💰

Well Tom and Scott are in the video. I’m the guy behind the cam and drone. Just depends on who you’re referencing.
@@SkyoteFPV ohhhhh! I thought Tom was you but with hair, lol. I'm way off, hahaha
That helped as a newbie.
Holy shit
How much did you pay for lessons if you don’t mind me asking
Scott would love to do some lessons, me son and I are players of a year. Problem is we live in NC ? Any chance you travel this way
Same here! In Charlotte, NC and I am in dire need of assistance with my backhand.
how far was the 360 forehand at the beginning?
I think... all of it. Just all of the distance.
at least a football field i was thinking.
I think he threw that close to, or maybe more than, 500'. I watched Scott play with Simon in a video recently. He still has world class distance, and skill generally.
600 feet. Scott held many long distance drive records. over 650 feet.
Scott, I paid $250 and didn't get one shot even close to that. We didn't even do that one exercise. Geez!

And McBeth throws the "overthrow"-way, too. When he does the X-step, he does not turn, he keeps straight ua-cam.com/video/gNzvodFcHIE/v-deo.html

Every time I watch this guy's videos I get an extra 50 feet.
Why not say your name?
Tom Smith is his real name but it is super generic sounding so Scott was joking around.
Thats hilarious
