Beautiful collection and good explanation on how you use them, I was reading the comments and I’m amazed of the level of envy of some people when they probably can’t have any of your watches, if Rolex is what you like the most well congrats you have an amazing collection
OMEGA got scammed. They weren’t the scammers. The Speedmaster was pieced together from assorted vintage components - and some fake parts - and it was purchased by Omega for its museum, on the advice of its then museum head. The allegations are that the then museum head was in cahoots with the seller of the watch. There were 3 ex-employees who were running the scam.
So an omega employee commissioned the watch, then in their own professional capacity at omega they certified it, then omega purchased it for themselves at a public auction, then made a pr statement fauning over how much love and investable a speedy is now (knowing that it was NOT a collector that bought it and it was themselves). There are almost no elements or people involved that are NOT omega in this scandal. And these weren't low level employees, these are directors of the company! This is Omega.
Taste is individuel. I enjoyed the video and your collection is impressive no matter if you share the taste or not. What impress me the most is that basically all your watches, choices and reflections are the exact oposite of my own ☺️ Good speed and happy new year! 🥳
Well said! Yeah in general I'm not... perhaps building a collection, i don't.. fill gaps. It just comes down to me liking the watch. Redundancy does happen but it doesn't stop me enjoying 2 pelagos for instance or 2 subs.
Absolutely love your collection - lots of great pieces…. You and I have some twins (we both have a panda and a hulk) Best of luck for your platinum Daytona endeavor - you’ll love it more than you think trust me (have owned platinum Rolex before, amazing)
Great collection. Did your Pelagos FXD came with that strap? Mine came with a similar color but velcro strap. If not, where did you get that one. Thanks!
Nice. I have a Hulk, black/black GMT steel, black/black GMT full yellow gold, 40mm Yachtmaster rhodium dial, 36mm datejust, 42mm Seamaster 300. And a couple moonswatches which I actually like for what they are! The Datejust and Seamaster are going to be sold. Hoping to add a batman, pepsi and also i want a full yellow gold daytona with “pikachu” dial. And of course a panda - then I’m probably done with Rolex and hopefully get into Patek (5726,5712r)
@@aussieexpatwatches patek game is indeed hard - I don’t think i need to worry about it for a long time. I’m “on the list” for a 5726 but that means nothing!

Dude, you have problems. I understand you don't like omega. Each to their own but do you realise you sound ridiculous? At one point, you mentioned,"typical omega watches, don't align"(it's not normal for them to be misaligned, they will fix it if you take it back to them) Secondly, you said, "tudor has better chrono movements" I mean..... Lmao It takes only one search on reddit to know how much problem tudor has with their qc! Honestly your collection doesn't surprise me, typical rolex fanboy. I wonder if you would own as many Tudors if they weren't sister company of rolex?
I have a friend that was denied service for a misaligned chrono hand "it's within spec". If you think the 3861 holds a candle to the B01 then there's really no debate to be had.
@@aussieexpatwatches About your friend: was it an omega boutique or some ad? Because as far as i know, omega boutiques do fix it for you. Again from what i know, it's very common for brands to say,"it's within spec." Sad but true. Not just omega. Tudor, breitling, every single brand uses that to not take responsibility for their bad qc. Sad to know, your friend had a bad experience though. About the bb chrono: bo1 isn't even a tudor movement. It's literally in the name, BO1. But you're talking about the looks of the movements, sure it's better looking.

@@aussieexpatwatches that's why they refused to fix it. Omega boutiques are a different story. If your friend still has the watch, ask him to take it to an omega boutique. Looks? Sure. Power reserve? Yes. But in every other metric, it's inferior. I mean come on! 3861 is way more capable technically and it has way more heritage( if you care).
The YM Ti is apparently a collectors piece.. there seem to be less of them than even the le mans daytona. Its a unicorn! I will likely never see one in any capacity...
I love to see someone who has essentially every Rolex sports model still appreciating the Tudor FXD… I have a Sub 124060 but damn I still want that FXD so bad .. is it too repetitive though?
HOLD ON A MINUTE.... dude breezes right past the gold Daytona for the wife! Lets see that badboy! I think she got the better end of the deal man but I do love my BLNR as well. Probably the best looking steel sports model that the Crown makes. Great collection.
I'm in agreement with your GMT comments. I got my 41 Sub a few months ago and I was thinking I would get a GMT next but I see so many similarities to be worth adding. I think the exp1 may be a better every day wearer for my casual style.
I think the labels we give these watches, like "sports, dress, diver, field" and their stated purposes really aren't that useful anymore. I find diver more useful and rugged for hiking than either of my explorers. I find the explorer 1 more dressy and likewise the daytona. If you have a sub, I'd try pair with something that goes "higher". That could be a datejust, daytona, yacht-mast, air-king, explorer 1. They offer a little more flare.
Interesting point of view. I’m a sucker for a ceramic bezel which to me elevates the watch, but in your opinion the Exp1 is the more elevated piece? Do you attribute this to the steel bezel or the slim elegant design? Sub feels like a machine in a good way.

Amazing collection , but too similar . Try a seiko sla043 or something like a rado captain cook , a breitling or even a tag heuer . Just to give you some perspective over rolex.
