Now wrap your head around that all three of these guys were born and raised in Sweden and started off studying classical music and end up sounding like they've been playing funk , gospel, and r&b their whole lives.
Partially true, but they started early and played almost everything. And Jonah went on the classical line with piano, and Henrik and Aron went more to the jazz. (Afro-line in the old days.)
These guys are so special because first of all the drummer and the bass player are SUPERLATIVE and second because they are blending different kinds of music that have never been blended - I can't really put my finger on it either but it's somewhere between Pop and Rock and Jazz.
I know its Dirty Loops but they went from Jazz, then took us to a church feel.. Love the concept and music..This is by far one of the best pocketed group /trio/ musicians Ive heard in a long time!! Love It!!
Henrik can play licks only like .0025% of of bass players can play and he looks like he's playing fucking candy crush on the toilet while doing it. No effort, no thought at all. There is no god
Lol! This is precisely the reaction of any fellow competent musician. Speechless because you’re just trying to process all of the licks flying by. These guys are just shocking. They are the bar where you didn’t know there was even a bar that high. Fuck. So good.
I am a pianist, but there is a band that approached me like "please record bass parts for us because we know you love Henrik Linder, please apply his vibe for us" and I'm amazed but I feel respect for the obligation, if you know what I mean, of course I took it :)
Ever been to the NAMM convention in LA? Henrik comes to this event regularly, I even got a shout out from him on video! 😏😎 He IS Bass goals!!! This band is definitely out of this world, SICK!!!! I got that permanent ugly face every time I listen to them! lol 😂
Yes, I knew you’d like it! Henrik Linder just makes me wanna stop playing the bass 😅 Love the different parts in the song, it has everything! Thanks for the reaction, keep the Love Train rolling! 👌🏼😎
@@someuser5532 I’m kidding of course. Henrik is a big inspiration to me and many more. For me personally, I will probably play the bass as long as I can 👍🏼😊🎶
Man, great reaction... Damn I tell you one thing, judging from the many comments I read here and elsewhere, this amazing drummer does NOT get the love he deserves - He's just as fantastic as the other two. Fact
He risk Linder is on bass. You should definitely check out the workshop and product demo videos he has on UA-cam. He is an absolute beast. Their new song “bitten by the kitten” has insane bass.
Insane. The bass by that guy, he is a beast.Drumer is fantastic. And Jonah as singer is a plus with piano.Definelly Dirty Loops are in my opinion one of the best band now. I am suggesting listen Breakdown by Dirty Loops
Swedish Bass Player Henrik Linder. He is a phenomenal musician playing a 6 string bass, but so is Cory Wong, who stands in playing guitar on some songs, Jonah Nilsson (vocals and piano), Aron Mellergård (drums). They are still playing, still crushing it. Touring right now.
Another UA-camr was interviewing ths singer/keyboard player from Dirty Loops. They told him that they got together and formed the band when they were in Music College. . The UA-cam interviewer said " *PLEASE* tell me that you guys were the *_best_* students at that college, because if you weren't, how GOOD were the best students?"
Marc, you do a great review of these guys. You are so very humble and complimentary to them that it is a joy to watch you do these reviews. Keep them going and thanks for this review.
I loved your reaction, your faces while listening were exactly how I feel hearing this, it's freakin mind boggling how good these kids are. And the singer didnt show what a fantastic piano player he is, incredible
Yes Marc Dirty Loops ruined music for me as well! These guys are at another level for sure. It's like all other music is in slow motion. Great reaction video!
Henrick the bass player and Aron the drummer is jazz trained Jonah the keyboard player and vocalist is classically trained. This is what you get when very player in the group is the best.
Hi! You must listening to Dirty Loops & Cory Wong cover of Thriller. Came out yeasterday. I love to hear your opinion on that. Håkan Svensson in Sweden.
Me before I met my girlfriend watching this video : « Imma as good as the drummer and found the other greatest band on the planet! » Me 2 after I met her : « F*ck this plan, now I need a couple millions in the bank and Dirty Loops at our wedding live up in like, 6 months »
God bless you for skipping past all the racial bulls**t in every direction and mentioning the MJ connection. These cats are a great example of how everyone is different, and there's brilliance and power in every direction, all waiting to be shared, if people will just reach out and embrace the Good™ that all our different cultures have to offer. I heard it right away myself (as a bassist, Off The Wall was a *huge* album in my life), but even mentioning it in Nashville, TN, is an invitation to a flame war on Facebook. :( You're dead on accurate, though. These guys *def* borrow heavily from MJ and Stevie for sure -- I can't imagine what Michael would have sounded like with these cats in the studio with him (nothing against Steve Lukather, Quincy, etc)!
I love watching musicians have an existential crisis because of Dirty Loops.
Michael Jackson would have been like “Yea...I’m going to need all three of you to tour with me...like yesterday” Heehee
I swear i was hoping SOMEONE ELSE heard the same things
Hahaha
I moreso get Stevie Wonder vibes
he said “heehee” 🤣
Eratosthenes Yea not the place dude, buhbye
Yo. Bass player is THE Henrik Linder.

@@milesdust3465Aron definitely did not want to play jazz in the school I worked at. Possibly it was mandatory at times.
@@dennislindqvist8443 I am talking about the Royal Music Academy.
@@milesdust3465 Me too, but maybe you knew him better. I just saw what I saw. Anyhow, take care.
Drummer… insanely good👌
The keyboard solo is very Toto. The harmony vocals very church... MJ would be smilin'
Dirty Loops are just out-of-this-world-awesome...
HENRIK LINDER is this godly bass player.
I can't remember the last time a band made me do the "stank face" so much while listening to them. i think i hurt myself.
Flawless transition from head voice to chest voice!
These guys are so special because first of all the drummer and the bass player are SUPERLATIVE and second because they are blending different kinds of music that have never been blended - I can't really put my finger on it either but it's somewhere between Pop and Rock and Jazz.
You think you play music until you get to know dirty loops and you are totally insignificant
Am I the only one who thinks his vocal run are Stevie wonder like?
Raphael Mastromonaco Stevie licks and intonation all day! And SW admits to being a big fan!
totally agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am done since I heard Jonah firsttime... I almost cried...stevie wonder II
they are under management from Quincy Jones homie
And a bit of MJ
Nope
I know its Dirty Loops but they went from Jazz, then took us to a church feel.. Love the concept and music..This is by far one of the best pocketed group /trio/ musicians Ive heard in a long time!! Love It!!
The way you were rocking back and forth at the beginning like you knew it was about to scalp you was hilarious to me.
I almost quit bass cause of this dude.
I know EXACTLY where you're coming from.

There is no god
@@chriswilliamson9030 LOL ... but that is the reason why I am sure there God exists. Music like this.
I just bought Henrik's bass book.
I became motivated to continue with bass cuz of him :D
6:19 that double time change. I wasnt ready but boy was it awesome lol ❤
Lol! This is precisely the reaction of any fellow competent musician. Speechless because you’re just trying to process all of the licks flying by. These guys are just shocking. They are the bar where you didn’t know there was even a bar that high. Fuck. So good.

Absolutely awesome all of them. Henrick Linder the Bassist fenominal. They totally Rock!

Nice swing on the vocals and great gospel feel at the end. Awesome listen!!
Yeah, and MJ feel. Exactly. Thank you.

I think of this song as "Prog Gospel".
Why stop playing bass?? To me Henrik was a huge motivation to continue with bass, because he shows that bass can be a wonderful instrument!

HENRIK LINDER. NOT EVEN AT HIS FULL POTENTIAL. YET. GOD TIER BASSIST.
BTW - you should read the credits rolling after the song - there are some funny jokes to discover :-)
Yes, like "Catering - Hannibal Lecter" LOL!
A bunch of swedish politicians in there, some stand up comics too I think. The whole thing is a troll.
Same thing with their other song's credit rools. Don't miss them out!
Oh my god I love this dude...so need him by my side at a live concert! @Marc McMillon
And now they're working with Quincy Jones. Nuff said. Marc low-key looks ready to shed a tear, understandably.

What cords and harmonies did you do in this song?........ All of them.... .
React to their new song "Rock You", please!!!!
You NEED to react to 5th Flo’s arrangement of Sorry by Justin Bieber. It’s INCREDIBLE, just like dirty loops.
