- These are the two best singers in the world. Honestly these are my favorite two vocalists alive right now they are so unbelievably moving with every note they sing. Each done so perfectly and beautifully, I love them so much. This video means no hate to any singers that have come before them they all deserve their own time to shine, like mariah, whitney, etc. But right now these are the two best vocalists that I've heard that are alive and currently slaying the game. Please show a lot of respect for these two extremely talented individuals they deserve it! Dimash and So Hyang are living legends.

Dimash's songs are good at high notes. But he is not as impressed by singing as Sohyang. It's just my idea.
I think So Hyang is more powerful, clear and emotional than him. especially on high notes.
The most thing is not singing high notes moment but keeping it long time like So Hyang.

I agree. Dimash actually is one of the best vocalists in the world. He still so young but every time he sings he bring us to another world and every time he uses he's amazings techniques and challenge himself with totally different s languages everytimes. Actually the older you get the more the vocal range reduces coz of overworking the vocals. Plus 23 years isn't so young.this is when he still has the energy to push himself that much

Dimash is basically using a headvoice above C5. Dimash has a larger range but rarely supported in headvoice while Sohyang is just technically flawless.

Dimash can hold notes as high as D6 & Eb6 & E6 for long time with vibrato and even his highest whistle ( D8 ) he held it for 5 seconds with vibrato

Some of Dimash's notes are piercing, whereas So Hyang's are more rounded.

It depends on what question you ask...and it comes down to a personal preference and there is no right answer. Dimash can sing female opera down to male opera. His range is far beyond her ability. If you just say who can better sing in her range its prob her. She is amazing. If its who is the overall better singer including range its Dimash. Long after her low range has ended Dimash is just getting started with what he can do with his vocals. Its just how want to answer the question. Its like saying Mariah Carey is a great singer. Yes. But only in her lane. She doesnt sing female opera let alone anything in the male range. Dimash is basically Mariah Carey that can sing male opera too. Think about that. So Hyang is a freak of nature with her vocals. Dimash is a freak of nature with his vocals and range.
But in terms of vocal technique Sohyang is the better vocalist. Dimash can do amazing things with his voice, but he is not supported nearly as well as Sohyang is. You see, if she wanted to, she could sing much lower, she has before, but she loses support when doing so, like Dimash, who has killer vocals as well, but not nearly the amount of support Sohyang has in hers. It just seems like where Dimash shows off a bit more, but Sohyang decided to simply sing within her supported range, instead of a larger less supported range. They are both great, but she will be able to maintain her vocal ability much longer than he will at he rate they are going.

Vocal technique is a dif question. She may can sing low but its low for a woman. Singing with the power of men in the low range is far beyond her ability. Thats not a knock on her. I know thats not what she does but we are comparing the two and Dimash can. .
How can the better singer be the one who cant sing anything close to a tenor if the other one not only can do that at a world class level but also sing high at a world class level. What im basically saying is that there are more women in the world that can sing like her than men that can sing like him. The guy sings opera 2, Adiago and the diva dance in a way that is beyond almost all male singers in the world.
This is why its hard to compare men with women. Im comparing something that is important for me but not for you. Thats why there is no correct answer
sciencespa1 But she can hit tenor notes though. She's just not supported in them, the same as Dimash isn't supported when hitting a of the notes he hit in this video. You see how in a lot of the higher notes he was only able to hit them and then go back down? That's support. He lacks support to sustain such high notes, its not that he can't hit them, they're just not supported. The exact same as Sohyangs lower notes. As I said they are both phenomenal singers and its a bit....I'll advised to compare them, but you're doing so based more on preferenve, which is fine, but in terms of vocal ability. Range, clarity and support..Sohyang is the better vocalist.
I understand what your saying. For me, once he starts singing as an operatic tenor he overtakes her because she cannot do that. For me she is not so much better than him at singing high notes that she still is better than him once he sings lower with his full power. I need the best singer to be able to sing both ends of the spectrum. That is just how i define the best singer. Your not defining it like that which means we cant agree. We can make point after point but it doesnt matter. We are looking at different criteria and unless she can sing as an operatic tenor or anything comparable to the power that he possess at that range she cant be better than him overall.

But this unique gift is a unique characteristic of voice, which is given from birth, I did not notice in Sohyang vocals. For me, Dimash is so special, He can be a bass, baritone, tenor, soprano at the same time. his every performance, always bring me a surprise.
And where is his limit ?! Unimaginable. I used to think that G#7 maybe his limit, But when I saw a video about his vocal lesson, He used B6 to do vocal exercise ! And looks super easy ! I was shocked.

There's a vocal range video of Dimash and the mix register section starts with an Eb4 and Dimash absolutely have no support in those Eb4s. Dimash is very impressive that he has a huge vocal range, he can go down to baritone low notes/ he can mix as high as a soprano/ his head voice extends to 6th octave and he also has the rare whistle register. However, Dimash's technique is really bad, absolute no support starting from Eb4 (which is a extremely easy note to support for a tenor). Meanwhile, Sohyang support from G#3~E6 (nearly 3 octaves of support and resonance) and she is the best singer nowadays

Soyang fans are so close minded i feel my brain shrunks while reading some of the comments. There are plenty of female vocalists just as good, if not better than her, like Mariah Carey and Witney Houston, there are very few people in this world that have Dimash's range and who also sound as good as him. The only name that comes to my mind is Vitas. Before comparing techniques remember she is older, more experienced and has less to master. She's also female so it makes sense it's easier for her to support better high notes. I have recently been introduced to both, so as a first impression, this guy has a rare talent, he's like out of this world, his voice is angelic. The woman is great, but i am not as impressed as i have seen what she's doing in many places before.
Sohyang is amazing. But dimash is a guy.... so i vote for him. His range is bigger. He have bas too. ♡ but love them both
I don’t really see why people like dimash so much. Yes he has the range, and that is surprising for a male singer, but most of his range isn’t supported. His mix is extremely heady which is the only reason he is able to hit notes that high. SoHyang on the other hand has a smaller range, but her supported range is larger. Yes she has the advantage when it comes to high notes because she is a woman, but her upper belts are supported, resonant, and she uses a balanced mix.
Technically, without a doubt Sohyang is the winner here. But everyone has their preference.

Exactly how do you say one is better then other. We all have our likes and dislikes. I am glad that I find out about So Hyang who have a lot of fans and that is good. I am personally fan of Dimash and won't say anything unpleasant about So Hyang or any other singer. Every singer has their own path and fans. But I am in a strong opinion that it is not fair to compare if they are not in same league. I mean if you compare Apple to Apple then it is one thing. The very fact that we are comparing a male and female should have some bearing in this conversation. That alone gives Dimash an edge, but they are both brilliant.
So Hyang opens her mouth too much. Maybe because she has a small mouth and she has to open it very much. But it's not beautiful. But she's done, training her voice was good. Dimash is certainly a unique singer, one for a billion, and Dimash needs to work, but he is young and he has a life ahead, as we have to enjoy his singing.

Many female singers could hit the monster high voice but for male it's so rarely!!! and for me when they both hit those high notes i enjoyed dimash so much meanwhile so hyang scared me with her mimic and effort to reach those notes.

@@ruca627 so hyang is a girl.. we all know the girls sings hightnotes is natural.. but dimash is a male with 6octaves and unbelievable vocals and highnotes.
It all boils down to taste. You have a taste for more raw vocals, because you feel they convey more emotion. Other have a preference for more refined technical aspects, again for emotional purposes.
Both singers are impressive, they both are not perfect and both of them have immense following. It is simply wrong to compare them.
Both are amazing, becouse they have an excelent vocal technic, in fact, for me they are going to be the future most famous singer in the World. In a couple of years their names it was like withney or Bocelli.
Vocally speaking, sohyang is better. Talent wise, dimash has something I’ve never seen in any other male singer. Overall I’d give the edge to sohyang because dimash has vocal issues and strains sometimes, while sohyang almost never strains and has perfect technique

Your wrong Dan! Sohyang can't sing low and is limited in range and vocal style. Almost 100% of voice expert agree Dimash is the best at control, mixing, showing emotions, never strains, and is the most flexible vocalist in the world. You need to watch more of his videos instead of listening to just clips of him.
dimash can sing low and can sing high going to a crazy d8 and can do all the crazy voice types in between.. there really is no one like him

lets see techniques like vibrato speeds, staccato notes, glissando, legato, phrasing lengths, crescendo and decrescendo notes. Now that would be interesting Challenge :)

Dimash is better at falsettos and whistle notes (that I personally don't appreciate that much)
But sohyang is better at mixed notes, very clean and powerful angelic mixed notes
Both are amazing!! but each one has their own technique

I personally prefer chest and mixed notes. I don't really like extreme head notes and whistle cause they're kind of annoying

They both can really raise it very high. Dimash so far got my attention for a guy to have that very high note is just so amazing. It was wow!

mmmm just look at their faces when they hit high notes, so hyang si forcing and suffering singing and dimash is very relax just look the F#5 note!!! then sohyang is a woman is very normal to hit high notes, dimash is a man, besides, so hyang can´t sing the low notes like dimash and the last comment, dimash hits and sostains note D8!! when sohyang do this, please tell me, both are incredible, but dimash so far the best!
