I always enjoy watching your reviews. I received the P7 last Friday. I instantly loved the P7 the moment when I started to listen to it. The bass was slightly weak when using the stock eartips. Amazingly and after I switched to Azla SednaEarfitLight eartips which have wide bores, the bass also increased and became noticeably more dynamic. Needless to say, the overall details are improved in comparison to the P5. I still love my P5 even though the P7 is a noticeable step up in terms of overall performance.
@@apollomoonlandings yeah azla tips are very good , overal for p7 best tips are wide bore such as azla. I totally agree. Amazing iem and for some who thinks their bass is weak i recommend changing tips first. They are more balanced and have a higher tier sound than aful 5 .
It's not often that I jump at the chance to buy something but with these I did. Been keeping up with the reviews whilst I'm waiting for them 😂 thanks for covering it Andy
Hmmm so much competition in this pricepoint. Pula Anvil 114 and CKLVX D62 just released especially Anvil has bone conduction driver kinda interesting. Dang so many iem release kinda dont know what to choose😂😂😂 btw Terbaik review👍
Just a followup. Which IEM in the 600$ price range has the best midrange, musical, or natural. Don't know the right word, but something for Jazz, Classical, Movie soundtracks like James Horner's Avatar. Planning to pair it with Muse M5 Ultra. Considering the Mega5est for now.
For that, to me personally would be SIVGA Nightingale, exceedingly amazing at being natural, organic and rich with sound texture especially Mids and Midbass, imparting classic sense to Classical/Jazz music, a little warm on the overtones, but very pleasing. But that's my personal pick and it is not exactly being trendy now to use something like the oddball SIVGA Nightingale. Otherwise my other topmost recommendation would be LETSHUOER S12 2024 Gold, my 2nd go to IEMs
@@AndyAudioVault Awesome I'm looking forward to it! I sort of impulse bought/ordered them already for the bone conductor technology and am eagerly awaiting an expert review 😅 I am new to the audio game but thus far for IEM's I have the Truthear Hexa's and Dunu SA6 MK2 based on reviews like yours. @@MrSamuel1234567 let us know how it goes with you. I got mine yesterday but returned after 2 hrs of trying. It needs absolutely perfect and deep fit for you to get a taste of the BC driver. To the point that I would lose seal with the slightest head movement (I use L side tips but had to use S for the right part of IEM to touch my ear so the BC could work as intended).
It should be good the pairing of P7 with Q15, both being very versatile. I personally prefer S12 2024 over tons of other IEMs I have with me now, a personal preference
My Kato's 2 pin jacks just caved in on Sunday and I don't understand how or why. It looks like the glue gave out. I don't have the tools to pull the jacks out of the shell either. Does the build on this look strong/well built? I now need a replacement to my Kato and this seems to be to my taste within what I can afford now. I was going to save for a pricier IEM and it was third on my list but because my Kato broke, now I have to push it to first priority and purchase a new set. Does this look strong/well built?
@@AndyAudioVaultthanks man. This will be my second IEM. I wasn't gonna upgrade yet if the jack of my Kato didn't fall into the shell. I thought it'll last me 5-7 years but it only lasted 3 years. Ruined my plan for a pricier set. 😂
I've got the 5+2 in my ears right now... and lovin' it (overall) Bass isn't quite as good as the OG P5. Lacks that extra bit of oompf - bass extension. It sounds quite good with my A&K SR25 DAP. Still a coloured sound. But sounds like an improvement in timbre over the P5. Treble sounds a little plastic like at times (whatever that means, But I'm stickin' to it). Love the midrange. A major improvement over the OG P5. But overall my only gripe is the bass being more like a 4" woofer bookshelf loudspeaker, made for a bedroom. When the OG P5 is more like a 8" woofer floor standing loudspeaker, made for a larger open living space. Perhaps a little exaggeration, but the point is there
Its not worse but better as it is more balanced. Get good tips and source and it is really good. I haven't heard p5 but I believe they are slow and lacking speed and telstures on p5. But if you like boomier and more quantity not quality bass perhaps its better on p5. Its's how i see it.
@@AbalMarius I've only received the 5+2 today. I need more time to just listen more and think less. I'm pretty fussy and sometimes need to just chill and get used to the sound.. But you're right, I need to try different tips. I already noticed going from sources Toppings DX5 to A&K SR25 DAP was a nice improvement in the treble performance.
@@grizzly6699 try different tips , with some tips aful 7 could be mediocre but with proper tips they are really very good. It really depends on this. Also source has big impact . Overal 5+2 has more details better technicalities and overal more balanced as aful 5 also good but more leaning to lower end and the new aful is more treble area and less bass. Its diferent tuning and also better technically and it could be a little bit hard to acustomise first but after some time you will love it i believe ;)
The main differences between P7 and Dynaquattro would be the transient speed of which P7 being a hybrid will have slightly faster dynamics which also means it will appear crisper sounding where Dynaquattro smoother edged. Dynaquattro also has a more prominent Midbass emphasis from the DD arrangement
I had to return my anvil. It’s a chunky boy but not uncomfortable. But for you to get a taste of the cone conductor driver, you really need to use the smallest tips and shove them way down and in your ear canals. So much to the point that I would lose seal from the right side easily. To put into perspective I use L size tips most of the time and had to use S and press a bit to make my ear in contact to the shell where the BC sits.
Hi Andy can i ask which is better for gaming kz pr2 vs pr3 vs trn vx pro+? theres no better one who used both these it is in your ranking list... or if u know better iem around $30 price point
currently the Performer 5 costs 140$ and the Performer 5+2 costs 240$... is the Performer 5 still a good option for 140$ or are there better ones/ would you recommend saving up some more money and buying the Performer 5+2?
You need to determine your needs and preferences. P5 is bassier and offer Subwoofer sort of experience. P7 on the other hand6as mentioned in this video offer a more balanced sound, less bassy, a bit more resolution. Once you understand your needs then it's easy to decide
Concerto is closer to neutral target from Mids to Highs, but Concerto has faster Midbass pace. P7 is a bit more colored especially after Midrange to Lows
Hi Andy, i would like to ask you which midrange and lower treble do you prefer? That of the p7 or the letshouer cadenza 4. And hence which iem should be better with pop, kpop, rock- mostly vocal and instrumental genres
Me personally? I absolutely love SIVGA Nightingale, LETSHUOER S12 2024 and DUNU Titan S2 lower Mids and Bass. I have tons of IEMs here with me, more than I can count and those three are my regulars. But then that's me an my PERSONAL preferences. Your music and taste could be vastly different from mine so, on this regard you will find P7 offer better bass density compared to the more neutral/less colored Cadenza 4, especially for your type of music

Hi Andy, Any idea how it compares to Kinera Celest Phoenixcall? The driver configuration is somewhat similar.
Phoenixcall offers flatter sound curve which is even closer to neutral target, a bit more transparent and uncolored, a bit milder with dynamic energy
