They look very promising, I hope Aful will launch them with a competitive pricing because for 11.11 it could be a really good set to get and an absolute bargain if with some discounts it comes in around 200-250$. I currently own the Myer Audio D41 and these Performer 5+2 seem to have a very similar bass/mid frequency response (which I really appreciated) and a more refined treble/air region, so I'm really curious to find out if these might be a good upgrade for those who, like me, like this type of tuning and want to get a more detailed sounding IEM with even better technicalities.
@@jekdjons413 Don't get me wrong, I am a happy owner of the D41 and I think they stand a notch above the Performer 5 themselves, but even they have several aspects where there is room for improvement. The 5+2 seem to have more linear highs (whereas the D41s have an annoying 14kHz spike, though that's easily fixed with a little EQ) and probably faster and sharper bass as well, which would make them a pretty much perfect set from my perspective. Looking at the 5+2's driver envelope, I would expect that they could represent an upgrade, though perhaps not a gigantic one (after all, graphs can only tell you so much). Hi there! I haven’t listened to the Tea Pro, so I can’t really comment on its sound. The last time I heard the Xenns Top was quite a while back, so anything I say would just be from memory and probably not entirely accurate.
I just bought the Mangrid Xenns Tea Pro. They get deliverd in like 2-3 weeks. Should i send them back and get this. Some.say it's a upgrade in every way but the cable. And that's not that important to me. What do you guys think?
I liked the Tea Pro, best set I've used so far the next best being the Hype 4 I think they are both just as good in music with the Tea Pro being a bit more technical in game to me. Mine had a defect with channel imbalance on the left side so had to return it.
I initially felt that way, but I believe 5 stars represents perfection, especially considering the accessories package and the cable. The P5+2 is at least a solid 4.5, which seems more realistic to me.
Thanks @Gizaudio for the great review, I have a question, do you rate 5+2 higher than Estrella? I'm considering buying Estrella or Dynaquattro, so aful 5+2 may also come into play.
Nice review! Currently rocking Zero:Red with an adapter, but I'm looking for an iem, for an iem that would be an endgame. The most priciest I looked on is Dusk and Tea Pro, and with release of P5+2, now I have a hard time choosing. I want something with more treble details, and a wider stage. Is it even worth paying extra for Tea or Dusk, or P5+2 will be enough?
Thanks! It’s hard to say, but I think the returns definitely start to diminish after the P5+2. The Dusk does offer DSP if that’s something you’re interested in.
@@Gizaudio about DUSK, the dps is indeed nice, but I heard that Moondrop's QC could be a lot better, not sure The tea pro, there's 11.11 on Linsoul with -50$ so the difference with P7 will be 72$ The P7 is interesting too with that planar tweeter, but I'm not sure. My IE300s have now been sent in to be repaired for the third time and I was wanting an upgrade and to try out something more technical to listen to with more glassy spacious detail in the upper treble and I think this may have helped me make my decision for a daily driver IEM. If you could you recommend this in my case? Thanks for the review :D
I recommend these as an all-around IEM, that has great bass, impressive detail, and crisp, spacious treble. To my ears, they sound different from and superior to the IE300.
The DUNU SA6 MK II is definitely one of my favorite IEMs. The bass on the SA6 MK II is faster, but if you're looking for a strong slam, the P5+2 really packs a punch with its dynamic driver. It just has that impressive DD bass quality with a good sub-bass rumble. When it comes to the mid-range, the P5+2 is more forward, which makes vocals pop. But the SA6 MK II really shines in terms of resolution. It has better detail, layering, and separation. The MK II also has a lovely airy, sparkly treble with a wider soundstage that makes everything feel more immersive.
Hi, congrats to first review. Can you compare to Pilgrim which may be not too fast away price-wise. Tonality, timbre, detail, please. Thanks very much!
The P5+2 has more bass, which makes it more exciting and engaging in its own way. The Pilgrim is neutral while the P5+2 has a neutral with bass boost sound signature. The bass on the P5+2 grabs your attention. Its planar treble also has a distinct character typical of planar drivers with its unique quality. The Elysian Pilgrim, on the other hand, is noticeably more resolving, with more precise imaging, better layering and instrument separation. Both IEMs have excellent timbre and sound natural to me, but the P5+2 has a fuller lower midrange, which gives certain instruments a richer tone in comparison. However, the Pilgrim still has the superior resolution, detail, and separation without sounding analytical.
The 61T has slightly more depth in its soundstage, but the P5+2 really shines with its wider soundstage with good depth and better layering and separation. Overall, it just feels more spacious than the 61T.

I wonder how this compares to hifiman svanar?
Thank you
I've never tried the HiFiMan Svanar so I can't comment on its sound.
@@Gizaudio I noticed not to many did, wonder why? Few reviews that are out there are very positive.
Nice some midbass
Yep.
The irony of running an audio channel and then producing a video with the audio quality of a potato
Thanks for watching and for letting me know. I'll look into it!
Hmm, this or CCA Hydro?
This.
Does it cost 1k US dollars ? 😮
No, that price is a placeholder.
@@Gizaudio thank you!
Well let's guess the price maybe between 500 to 800 €
I'm not sure, but I think it will be priced less than the P8. Just a guess!
So less than 3560 dollars? Hmm I might buy them 😅, from reviews I saw they really look very good @@Gizaudio
พี่ไม่ทำช่องไทยแล้วหรอครับ
Not right now.
My guess is this will priced around $250-300. They can't really make it more expensive than the P8, as that wouldn't make much sense. For that price this will be amazing! Looking forward to try it out, and most likely buy it! Finally a true upgrade for my P5!
I agree.
Shot.... I just bought p8
P8 is a great IEM.
HifiGo has this for 1k?? Am I missing something??
That price is a placeholder.
Hype 4 vs 5+2?
This is very bad timing while I still have the p8.
A great IEM.
@@Gizaudiowhile I very much like the p8, I wish it had more sub bass and p5+2 sounds like it has what I want.
@@Yetete I also felt the same way. I felt the P8 could use a bit more bass.
Tierlist? 😮
I am working on one.
Those are really $1k👀
That price is a placeholder.
why did timmy abandon gizaudio for Hangout, like all due respect to the other guys but one guy reviewing the major iems gives more reviewing consistency
Please make a different color option. That faceplate is really unappealing to me...
I hope they do.
Comaring to Pula02 how is it 😊
Looking at the bundle price from the provided link, it seems to be a kilobuck iem 😢, have to skip this one
Zero percent chance that it will out-price the Cantor. What you're seeing is the result of a placeholder price the website is using until the real price is updated. Placeholder prices are usually ~$1000 to discourage unwanted early purchases.
That price is a placeholder until they announce the price.
Mmmm mic clipping.
Yeah, that was my mistake. I had the mic gain set too high. I'll be more careful next time.
$999? No thanks I'll stick with the P5
That is a place holder price. Common practice for advertising before price release.
I believe that price is a place holder and not the real price
That is a placeholder price. They didn't announce the price yet.
Went hifigo to order cklvx d62 n saw this. Then saw this, now i am torn , the microplanar attracted me.
I miss timmy lol
I prefer David and Axel. ❤
Ok, Hi-Fi go has the performer 5 for $200. So, I figured the 5+2 would be $50 - 100 more. Do my eyes deceive me, but is the price of the 5+2 $1000? Really? 🤯
Are you looking at the $999 placeholder listing.
@@doubleXnickel That's all I've seen, the link from this review takes me to it. Do you know what they are supposed to retail for? A Google search isn't showing anything else.
Under 300 @@wrbrown571
They may not have decided a price yet.
Don’t worry, by the time the price is decided there’ll be a new ‘King’
First
👍
What about the price?
From the Hifigo link it looks like it's going to be US$1k 😅
@@SoundmeowAudio with modern IEMs, you never know. It could be great-sounding $50 or shit-sounding $1k. It looks like AFUL themselves have not yet decided. :))
@@ВасилийЗахаревич-р3с hopefully! This one is on my radar but at $1k there are other options available
@@SoundmeowAudio before the launch they generally set everything for 1k by default after the price is revealed they will update it it will probably be around 200-300$
@@Asifluckyy if so, it would be a bargain!
your audio clips
Yeah, that was my mistake. I had the mic gain set too high. I'll be more careful next time.
