Akhenaten was a psychopath and the people of Egypt hated him, and the idea of one god in many did not originate from him, and when his reign of terror ended, the all gods in one was reinstituted, lasted over another 1000 years, so scholarship does not support the hypothesis that Akhenaten was the main influence of the Essenes, there is a much older doctrine that the Essenes found inspiration
