From watching this channel since it was called "Kuro The Artist" cause of some nicktoons justice league trailer breakdown to Fro teaching me how to get a job. I love this channel
Additional tip: You can add stuff like "I know first aid" or "I am good at excel" even if your job doesn't require such skills, they might be useful one day and better be safe than sorry.
Relatable as fuck, as someone that has worked on a resume I had to do a bit of lying to get the job, tried to be honest, but still have to make the person interested lol. This was hilarious btw and freaking relatable.
To add slight on the "What is your greatest weakness" kind of question. While I think those are stupid as heck, I've found a lot of success pivoting it into an example of development. Basic saying "This is a minor problem I have (Do NOT actually mention an actual major personal flaw) and here is how I address it". I've said in interviews before that I can sometimes forget smaller details or tasks when I'm given a lot of them at once which is why I carry around a notebook all the time so I can better keep track. Regardless of how true that is(rewatch the video for more on that), it shows a willingness to learn and take responsibility which some jobs really like.
A few things I know about Fro, is that he is the only member of the Ink Tank who doesn’t specialize in drawing, but on making collages in Photoshop, and surprisingly, he uses that to make his own aliens, such as Itsy Glicky Spider and the Popsicle alien, I was hoping for him to add more aliens to his playlist, any while same goes to Hurshie, he also made a few new aliens, like Hot Springer, a frog alien who can make hot springs that heal people.
Simplify your resume, learn the fancy words associated with what you can do and what you could do, fudge the dates on your resume (they won’t do the research), be confident in the interview (maybe look slightly obsessed or determined; it worked 2-3 times for me so far), keep showing up and asking for updates (they’ll either get to you sooner or dump your resume), and get a few people (not your mom) to act as your managers/head whatever’s.
My first ever manager / the guy who interviewed me outright said "You are a liability to my own job" and then hired me... Massive red flag as the person being hired. On a unrelated side note, said manager was later fired for stealing money from the job and I was a key witness as me and two other coworkers saw him do it (Retail)... So he technically was right...
My advice is also read and memorize your resume, in a recent interview I forgot I had a job with similar duties to the job I was applying for... a week after they emailed me to tell me I didn't get the job. Sorry if my english is wrong
I'm a kid in Suid Afrika this is great advice this will not have any serious repercussions and most likely work.This so much cheaper than using family connections
I was at at a panel in college and one of the CPA guys said the exact thing, he lied on his resume and just picked stuff up on the job. It works, you just need to know how to build a good lie and that's a whole skill of its own.
