  • In this short video I am showing how I make jump rings for my chainmail. Both Stainless steel and regular steel. Unfortunately I don't know what alloys these metals are what I am using.

Thank you. I am a jewelry hobbiest. I have recently begun to play with heavier and harder wire. I previously thought of 20-18 g as my 'heavy' wire. Needless to say, my tools need to be upgraded. Just learning of these kind of cutters is so helpful. I will be watching your other video to see what other gems will help me on my exploration of the heavy.
I really like your way of presenting your pursuit of a-better-way. Your ultimate solution is very elegant, but without the roadmap of how you got there, I would have dismissed the whole thing.

What material is your dowel and how is it connected to the wood bit if I may ask? Your set up is very smart and efficient!!

Hi! I know this is an old video but I hope you can see my question here and answer: Does this knipex plier cuts sharp (totally straigth) on both sides of the cut? In other words, does the rings close sharply and perfectly? Or is there some degree of beveled shape on one side of the cut? One more question (lol)? I am going to cut soft aluminum. Does this knipex work well with soft metal? Thank you in advance for your answers :)
