HOW TO: Make A CLOCK with POLYMER CLAY!

- It's time! to make something cool. This is my take on a mechanical clock with a difference, it's made from clay. The cool thing about this clock is that it is made with all separate parts, coming together for the coolest look!

Baking Polymer Clay:
UK instructions for baking- it's all in Celsius not Fahrenheit, which is why I don't always quote times & temperatures. I recommend using Polymer Clay packet instructions. However a good tip is to bake no higher than 100 degrees Celsius. It's better to bake at a lower temperature for longer, than higher for shorter.
Larger clay items need longer- always check after 10 mins- sometimes things fall over in the oven & can be rescued at this point. Watch for burning! Especially white as it's quick to burn (don't know why...) and can turn yellow!
Once out of the oven wait for it to cool before thinking it's baked- if it feels soft to touch, you can poke a finger nail in it or a finger print, back in the oven it goes!
Electric ovens work better as the temperature is even, gas oven temperatures fluctuate do not keep a steady temp for baking polymer clay.

Aww, thanks so much, I've been working with polymer clay since I was 14, way before the invention of UA-cam! Haha... I can't believe it's been 32 years! I started the channel so I would make different things rather than just little bears - it's worked so far! 😆

Hahaha omgoodness your bloopers are always the best. Love them. Ok project on hand. I have never looked that close to your other clock, but I have seen so many ppl film backwards so I guess this is why I didn’t notice. 🤣🤣🤣 ya never know with some videos. So glad you’re back into the swing now, I know how hard it is, lost my son 38 yrs ago and it still seems like yesterday. Aww thanks Karen! I used to film backwards, or at least I used to flip the footage as I thought I looked weird. Then I just gave up as I figured everyone has to see me like that normally! I am doing OK with the grief, it's mostly at night that it gets me & I don't sleep so well now, but I know my brother would want me to be successful & not give up. I miss him everyday, miss his voice. Poor mental health is scary & I will do all I can to live well for him! Thanks for watching & your support is lovely ❤️
Sorry to hear this! Loss is something you don't get over, he was only 42. We were so alike with our humour & trail of thought. I will live my life with him in mind, until I get to see him again ❤️

Haha, yeah, it was upside down! However, it was strange that some of my reference photos were also upside down! So it's lucky I checked this one! I have tried the premier, but it was a bit slow for me this end & I think moving to live will be good. Most people go live on tiktok now as it's easier, but I don't have enough followers for that at the mo!. I have patreon, it's a join button on my main page :) ahh. Apple! Love the clock!!! You always make the greatest things. It would take me days to try to make that and then I would just ball up all of the clay and run away crying. Lol
