HI there, loved hearing your experience at a US vet and am a bit shocked honestly. I am from Ontario, Canada and that is not how our animal clinics are here (none that I have been to at least and I have been to a lot over the years with different species...dogs, cats, birds). We get to stay with our pets in an examine room and wait for the doctor to come in and do the examine and consultation. The examine room is always cleaned between pets/appointments (no double duty). Sometimes a doctor will come in alone or sometimes they bring a vet tech with them to help. The odd time they will bring the pet to the back area (out of the examine room) to take blood or give an injection but they always ask for permission to do that. Dog grooming studios are another story though, they are so different from business to business. Some are amazing but some are very chaotic!! I just discovered your UA-cam videos recently and am absolutely enjoying them. I find you so inspiring the way you don't let anything be too challenging for you. You just keep reaching for your goals and deal with what you have to deal with. Very enjoyable. Thank you for sharing.
I'm so glad to hear that it wasn't just me thinking it was odd, but that other countries do it a bit more organized as well. Dog grooming isn't something a lot of people do here it's almost only for show dogs, so I'm not sure how the different ones do it, but it could be fun to research! What a fascinating Experience!! Loved this video and hearing your adventure. Definitely sounds like the vets you went was a bit overrun. A vets like that would be shut down in the UK for unsafe practices. It sounds like Vets in Denmark are very similar to vets in the UK
