I read a Sheff Utd article before we signed Bogle with their reporter claiming why would he move to Leeds when they have a far better squad. Made me chuckle.
Hi Connor, just watching as a Blades fan on Bogle. I've not seen Wilders interview but I can imagine that he was not happy! I don't care that he's gone to Leeds in terms of from a rivalry perspective. As far as I'm concerned other than Wednesday I'm not bothered who he joins, whether it's Leeds or Burnley, Luton etc etc it's not an issue apart from selling to a promotion rival is obviously not ideal!
I'm not one of those who hates Leeds, we barely come into contact with Leeds fans in Sheffield and no doubt vice versa in Leeds. That's not to say there's not a rivalry but we know Leeds don't particularly care about us as a rivalry and that's fine by me. Just on the Leeds are the biggest club in Yorkshire. That's not disputed from our fans i'd say but the bit that Yorkshire is donned by one club does just come across as a bit arrogant; we find Wednesday fans are very similar. Just desperate to tell us how big they are, how many fans they take away etc. But ultimately football has changed, it's all about money and how well run you are more than ever before, that's seen in the likes of Fulham, Palace and Bournemouth having far more sustainability in the top flight. Leeds continue to under achieve as do Wednesday and personally I feel we are too because in my view we're a bigger club than Bournemouth and Fulham etc but we continue to fail to establish ourselves in the top flight. Anyway, no hard feelings from me over Bogle, I'm sure he'll do well. I'm quite happy with Shackleton signing and I wouldn't be surprised if Dramah comes here too. Up the Blades!

as a yorkie, it pisses me off that so many Lancs club are or have been in the premiere. So even as a Leeds fan, i wish both Sheffield teams, Huddersfield, Hull etc would get their acts together and get promoted aswell
Yeah it's odd re Lancashire football and their success. Not referring to the bigger clubs like the Manchester clubs, but Burnley, Bolton, Wigan have all had long spells at the top. I've got no problem with those clubs, all decent clubs, but if Burnley, Wigan etc can stay there then there should be loads of Yorkshire clubs in there too like Huddersfield, Barnsley and Bradford as well as Leeds, Blades and the comedy club, sorry Wednesday!
I'm old enough to remember the early 90's when us, Leeds and Wednesday were all in the top flight, great times.
I know Leeds will be right up there this season, possibly stronger than any of the relegated teams but if I was a betting man I'd be betting on us because we're going under the radar because we've not spent much and we had the dire season last season, but will do late business especially if the takeover happens. Interesting essay. I’ve only ever thought about Sheff Utd twice before: when we signed Tony Currie off you; and when you helped us out with an own goal the day we clinched the title in ‘92. You’re right about well run clubs. Leeds haven’t ever been run well consistently
@@novianovioTV Very similar at United in terms of bad ownership. In spite of that in my lifetime some of the best seasons we've had have been the promotion seasons and ironically they have always been battling with Leeds: 1989-90 still the best where we had a team consisting of cast offs and finished on the same points as Leeds who, with respect, spent a relative fortune on the likes of Chapman, Strachan, Sterland, Jones, Fairclough on top of those bought before for decent fees like Hendrie and Davison.
The other seasons with Leeds were under Warnock 2006 and Wilder in 2019 which is a close second to the 1990 Dave Bassett season. The season coming I actually think Leeds look the strongest in the division but I don't rate Farke, never have although he's had some success. Will be a very interesting season for sure!

Think Farke is playing a canny game with behind doors games. To me it seems, he is trying different formations and strategies and doesn't want to leak too much insight into the "new" Leeds set up. After the criticism levelled at him last season for his tactical nous, I don't blame him one bit.
What would that achieve? Stopping fans from see in there is some sort of pragmatic change in formations? Wouldn’t that only make them more confident ? The Germans are just being strange they won’t even allow the games to be live-streamed … even the club website states it’s a strange decision. I don’t even know why Leeds are even going to Germany tbh . Could have gone anywhere else and allowed fans to watch the game .
@coner4675 mate, all the games are available to watch more or less soon as they're over, on LUTV. No fans means less pressure on the players etc, ensuring higher levels of performance. Strange, but not too bad.
@@steconnell2132 I guess so but that won’t get them ready for the environment next season , I just thought it was strange decision, think other teams are going out there and they have had fans allowed and been streamed also , but yeah I’ll catch up on the after math 👍

Hope you are OK Connor. Bogle is a brilliant signing. Hope if he stays fit & proves to be as successful as I think he can be. Up next? Maybe the young lad from Palace but I still think we need another CM and a new number 9.
Blade here, Bogle is good going forward so in a promotion chasing season where you will normally be the dominant side he will work well. At defending he is not that good, so in the Premiership you will find that out if not sooner. Pride comes before a fall they say so don’t be too arrogant. Remember the 49 ers may be spending but the debt will be put against the club in the end. I wish you well except against us.

See that gloating over getting an average 5m player (after selling at least 50-60m in talent) is why we are hated. It's why ipswich and Leicester taunt us in promotion parties, yet it didn't happen in any other league or seasons b4. Ppl like you and our arrogant twitter following that give us a bad name. "Big club" are we ? We lost out on promotion to a side that had mostly league 1 players. Biggest club in Yorkshire isn't hard right now and isn't really true is it. We won nothing in a lifetime and spent most that time in lower leagues. Learn to be a bit more humble. We are a 2nd tier club
Go get Christensen from Chelsea or Philips from Spurs on loan. Get Rakyi on loan to cover Gnonto or Summerville sale. Got O'brien in on a loan with a commitment to buy. And if we sell Summerville go and get Hamer on a release clause. Then we go up definitely 😊
