    Ha! A supercub! You continue to surprise Warro. Awesome colour. We'll have to watch on to see where you end up taking it. Fantastic..

      i think its interesting for me with a bit of history tossed in too. back when i had the cub 50 no way i'd be buying new as credit was hard to get and laybys were the go...lol
      hard to believe it started on one of these and 55 years later near a full circle

    These cubs have a place in the heart of many people my age (62) . These bikes started a lifelong passion for biking ❤

      I had the same thought about the total cost of regos. I'm in Victoria which means one rego per vehicle, but I wasn't sure how it works in NSW, or whether one rider can have multiple vehicles on one rego...I'm sure I've read that somewhere...

      dunno about that but with 6 bikes and 3 cars i think im now up for about $7000 per year to register and insure before i even get on them...lol could be more i don't want to think about it.

      @@ridewithwarro Jesus, Joseph and Mary, Warro. That's a lot of dough on rego. lol
      But, yeah, I dunno where I heard that about one rego for multiple vehicles. It must have been a wish someone had. I remember something about not being able to drive them all at the same time, or something like that. Forget I mentioned it. lol

      i think so. probably wouldn't pass as my main ride only but seeing the history is there from 55 years back and it still sort of feels the same to sit on - ive just got an extra 6 hp over the 50cc unit and fuel injection and front abs
      plus nice colour too
      i cant think of any bike i really want so thats a good thing and i can just ride the 10 hp...lol or 9.5 or whatever.

      yeah i think im way too old for that stuff and more into the sub 350's which i think i can handle better. saying that when i got on this it really felt like a pushbike with motor.
      plus those tyres are so skinny too...lol but i had a good day today. enjoyed doing that clip by the side of the road so all good there.

      yeah i think so. nice looking blue and a very fancy red seat. runs well and surprisingly softer to ride than the ct125 trails i had and way smoother than the grom.
      plus i can do a few ride and other clips on it too

  • @dashamac
    @dashamac 2 години тому +3

      @ridewithwarro  Годину тому +1

      i think so....lol i don't think i could have one as a single ride only but for just a change of ride- i found it pretty good today.
      runs easy at 80 kph and it's more like a pushbike with motor.
      totally different to the ct125 trails i had from 2020 onwards. feels smaller than those too

    A good score, a modern classic to remind you of your roots. I too 1/2 owned a C50 with my twin, but I never got to ride it. Bought it in winter, cleaned it up and serviced it. Sold it for twice the money in spring.

    • @ridewithwarro

      yeah i think so. rode that bike for 6 months or more around that guys 600 acre property. pretty lucky really. say if my first bike had been a norton commando 850 i think i'd had to pass for sure...lol
      not on the price but on the reliability after experiencing my run in with a fully restored triumph daytona from 1969 and no-one could fix it...lol and in the end i gave up and cashed it.
      really nice ride too well to look at. its in my history.
      so lucky for me it was a honda cub..lol

      @ridewithwarro  25 хвилин тому

      im impressed with how well it rides at 80 kph compared to say my grom or the trail 125's i had. may be a different story on a dirt road but i was under the impression by testers it was not a good ride.
      this one more like a pushbike with motor
      i once had a pedal bike called a solex maybe made in france not sure with a motor on the front wheel.
      this cub sort of reminds me a bit of that.

    I was looking forward to this one. Great reveal, I never would have guessed. It’ll be a great bike to experience. I’ve only tried the CB125F and Monkey (4 speed) in this Honda 125 range. Both are amazing bikes. I prefer the understated CB.

      cb125f is a great value bike and to go to the gb350 jumps the price another $4000. so saying that i had some great fun on the 125f in some pretty rough country too.
      id really like to take this bike back to that property i ran the cub 50 on 55 years back but unfortunately its now been sold and split up and i think vineyards are in place.
      i may ride it out there to take a look

    What a great purchase Warro and interestingly I was looking for one of these earlier this year and was a bit difficult to find a good one here in Melbourne. A magnificent looking bike and absolutely well done. I remember about 50yrs ago playing chicken on a Honda step through and a CB175. Great scenery. Enjoy the ride. 🇦🇺👍

      well after this i recall going to a honda 250 dream and then a cb175 which had the twin carbies it would have been a mid 60's bike. the dream was no dream...lol
      i was taken by that colour back in 2019 but couldn't get one so i pre-order the trail instead.
      ive clean this one up a bit as it didnt look like that. well degreased and washed it but i think if he had done that he would have scored an extra $500 to $1000 on his sale because he had all paperwork and low klm.
      you know ive had heaps of cars so i knew this is the one if i can score at a good price and get it delivered.
      dont rule one out either as they ride better i think than my grom or the trails i had. that surprised me quite a bit. i was expecting to be jolted around but not the case.nice soft seat too.
      all the best!

    • @steven_scattergood

      @ I actually remember just how good the cb175 was and it was heavy but a great bike and handled everything you could throw at it. I had 250 Honda then changed to Yamaha. I absolutely loved my RD400 and it was just like a kangaroo and potent. Probably 18yrs ago got talking to a guy who had a totally original RE5 and rode it regularly. There was a guy around here who also regularly rode his Vincent Black Shadow and it was a work of art. I absolutely love the purchase you made with this bike as it brings back proper memories of a magnificent era of bikes. It definitely has the looks Warro.👍👍

      @@steven_scattergood i had a rd125 new. rode it to adelaide and back. still remember the run across the hay plains.
      strange as it sounds i didnt buy a cub i bought memories...lol so far so good.
      id like to go for a run back to that property i use to ride the other $50 special on.
      its been divided now and turned to vineyard but i could fly the drone over for one time sake...lol
      i recall seeing those re5's strange instrumentation with the flip lid. panel beater had one here.
      came out a few years after the 750 gt suziki i had in 73.
      hard to believe no after i sold it i would not get on a bike for another 40 years and never once thought about it. no interest at al. it was cars/cars/cars...lol

      well it is sort of now but it was a bit on the dirty side on the drop off so i spent a couple of hours cleaning it up. where it came from i'd say very hard to keep any bike clean there. mostly dirt roads and very fine red powdery dust.
      not like where i live its more mud and gravel and rocky roads but out that way its just a hot dry place.

      thanks, very rarely i buy a bike which makes me smile a bit when riding. i suppose because i buy that many the thrill is not there. they are just another friggin bike.
      buy one new bike and its an exciting adventure buy 73 new bikes and its just a bike to ride decide and cash...lol
      soon as i saw this one for sale i was thinking way back riding the cub 50 around that property owners 600 acres spread. no phones/no youtube/no money/no bad memories nothing! all good times.
      on the spot i decided to message the seller. can you deliver bike for agreed price and i pay freight. which he did and im happy. he's happy or should be and its ride on.
      so you could say i didn't just buy a bike i bought memories and so far so good.

      the deal for me was 72 in that colour as its very hard to score and getting all the paperwork.
      had heaps of good cars but getting full paperwork was not easy especially that purchase receipt. for some reason not many like to hand it over.

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  Годину тому

      the gb350 with those off road tyres is very quick on dirt. i'd say with a good experience rider it would be hard to catch. ive had it to 100 kph on dirt but that appears pretty risky and pretty fast too
      60 to 80 kph does it pretty easy but they are very good tyres so that helps and its much lighter and more compact than the other rides too

      its pretty good now but if i compared my bikes when selling i'd say easily not as good. presentation sells a bike and i like to say showroom and mean showroom.
      saying that if the seller had prepared it not wiped it over i'd thought it would have got them an extra $500 to $1000 above their asking price especially being a one owner with all paperwork.
      but i think i clean it up the best i could.
      if say i had went to inspect it personally not pre purchased i may have walked...lol
