i think its interesting for me with a bit of history tossed in too. back when i had the cub 50 no way i'd be buying new as credit was hard to get and laybys were the go...lol hard to believe it started on one of these and 55 years later near a full circle
I had the same thought about the total cost of regos. I'm in Victoria which means one rego per vehicle, but I wasn't sure how it works in NSW, or whether one rider can have multiple vehicles on one rego...I'm sure I've read that somewhere...
dunno about that but with 6 bikes and 3 cars i think im now up for about $7000 per year to register and insure before i even get on them...lol could be more i don't want to think about it.
@@ridewithwarro Jesus, Joseph and Mary, Warro. That's a lot of dough on rego. lol But, yeah, I dunno where I heard that about one rego for multiple vehicles. It must have been a wish someone had. I remember something about not being able to drive them all at the same time, or something like that. Forget I mentioned it. lol
regardless of what other think those bikes i have i like the best of the batch of here and gone bikes. grom a clown bike -vstrom best value-gb350 really good on dirt-350 classic great eye appeal-xmax 300 faster than the lot -supercub time warp machine
Yeah I think so too - should be a good one. nice looking little bike and will get into it tomorrow and do that oil change and check the air filter too. already have the oil from the cb125f days so ready to go. all the best!
i think so. probably wouldn't pass as my main ride only but seeing the history is there from 55 years back and it still sort of feels the same to sit on - ive just got an extra 6 hp over the 50cc unit and fuel injection and front abs plus nice colour too i cant think of any bike i really want so thats a good thing and i can just ride the 10 hp...lol or 9.5 or whatever.
yeah i think im way too old for that stuff and more into the sub 350's which i think i can handle better. saying that when i got on this it really felt like a pushbike with motor. plus those tyres are so skinny too...lol but i had a good day today. enjoyed doing that clip by the side of the road so all good there.
yeah i think so. nice looking blue and a very fancy red seat. runs well and surprisingly softer to ride than the ct125 trails i had and way smoother than the grom. plus i can do a few ride and other clips on it too
i think so....lol i don't think i could have one as a single ride only but for just a change of ride- i found it pretty good today. runs easy at 80 kph and it's more like a pushbike with motor. totally different to the ct125 trails i had from 2020 onwards. feels smaller than those too
Brilliant warro fancied one of them for a while, for my daily commute ideal for that don't need big cc anymore. Our government are changing the tax in April not for the better. Keep um coming mate enjoy it 😊
im pretty impressed with the ride quality considering i had 2 of the ct125 trails and did suspension work on those. i was expecting a shocking ride but not the case. may be different on dirt but so far so good
A good score, a modern classic to remind you of your roots. I too 1/2 owned a C50 with my twin, but I never got to ride it. Bought it in winter, cleaned it up and serviced it. Sold it for twice the money in spring.
yeah i think so. rode that bike for 6 months or more around that guys 600 acre property. pretty lucky really. say if my first bike had been a norton commando 850 i think i'd had to pass for sure...lol not on the price but on the reliability after experiencing my run in with a fully restored triumph daytona from 1969 and no-one could fix it...lol and in the end i gave up and cashed it. really nice ride too well to look at. its in my history. so lucky for me it was a honda cub..lol all the best
im impressed with how well it rides at 80 kph compared to say my grom or the trail 125's i had. may be a different story on a dirt road but i was under the impression by testers it was not a good ride. this one more like a pushbike with motor i once had a pedal bike called a solex maybe made in france not sure with a motor on the front wheel. this cub sort of reminds me a bit of that.
I was looking forward to this one. Great reveal, I never would have guessed. It’ll be a great bike to experience. I’ve only tried the CB125F and Monkey (4 speed) in this Honda 125 range. Both are amazing bikes. I prefer the understated CB.
cb125f is a great value bike and to go to the gb350 jumps the price another $4000. so saying that i had some great fun on the 125f in some pretty rough country too. id really like to take this bike back to that property i ran the cub 50 on 55 years back but unfortunately its now been sold and split up and i think vineyards are in place. i may ride it out there to take a look
What a great purchase Warro and interestingly I was looking for one of these earlier this year and was a bit difficult to find a good one here in Melbourne. A magnificent looking bike and absolutely well done. I remember about 50yrs ago playing chicken on a Honda step through and a CB175. Great scenery. Enjoy the ride. 🇦🇺👍
well after this i recall going to a honda 250 dream and then a cb175 which had the twin carbies it would have been a mid 60's bike. the dream was no dream...lol i was taken by that colour back in 2019 but couldn't get one so i pre-order the trail instead. ive clean this one up a bit as it didnt look like that. well degreased and washed it but i think if he had done that he would have scored an extra $500 to $1000 on his sale because he had all paperwork and low klm. you know ive had heaps of cars so i knew this is the one if i can score at a good price and get it delivered. dont rule one out either as they ride better i think than my grom or the trails i had. that surprised me quite a bit. i was expecting to be jolted around but not the case.nice soft seat too. all the best!
@ I actually remember just how good the cb175 was and it was heavy but a great bike and handled everything you could throw at it. I had 250 Honda then changed to Yamaha. There was a guy around here who also regularly rode his Vincent Black Shadow and it was a work of art. I absolutely love the purchase you made with this bike as it brings back proper memories of a magnificent era of bikes. It definitely has the looks Warro.👍👍

well it is sort of now but it was a bit on the dirty side on the drop off so i spent a couple of hours cleaning it up. where it came from i'd say very hard to keep any bike clean there. mostly dirt roads and very fine red powdery dust. not like where i live its more mud and gravel and rocky roads but out that way its just a hot dry place.
thanks, it's a bit different compared to the direction i was intending to go. glad to hear you liked it. bet there is quite a few your way. blue was limited here in oz and i think your way the norm.
