I’ve just started watching soap making videos. Your process is the first I’ve seen spraying the top with alcohol. Can you share with me why that step is done? Your soaps look amazing.
Hello and welcome! I spray with 91% rubbing alcohol to reduce the chance of soda ash. It's just a visual/cosmetic thing, it doesn't effect the finished soap at all..
Awww, your little doggie came to say hello! What a cutie! This soap turned out GORGEOUS! I'm still learning and get so frustrated sometimes but I'm stubborn as a brick so I will keep soaping until I find my perfect "go to" soap. I really love the idea of an all butters soap! May try that this weekend over the long Thanksgiving holiday! Edit: What temperature did you soap at for this one? I soaped last weekend at room temp but it wasn't all butters. I had coconut oil, olive oil, and a bit of beeswax and it is still not hardening. Thankfully, I was able to get it out of the molds (same molds you used here, actually) so I'm just going to leave it in my storage box for a few weeks and pray it cures because the gardenia scent I used and leaving the natural color of the oils...made them sooooo gorgeous! Edit 2: You just made me buy that slab cutter and the double slab mold thingy from them. My husband is going to kill me! Do you have space for a tent in your backyard for when he kicks me out? LOLOLOL!!!
Hi I like the way to prepare soap I'm a beginner in soap making I do follow ur instructions When u keep soap for curing for 4weeks the oil content and the fregrance don't vanish Plz do anser
Yep, especially if the light soapy water is made from your own natural soap? You know what’s in it right? And you’re making new soap right? Stick blender soap water is a great idea. xx
Love this
I think this is my favorite layering technique. So ding dang pretty!
Bought a bar and I just love it. My legs are a lot softer and less dry skin. Thank you

I typically soap at between 70-85 degrees... You're going to love the mold and cutter (Hahahaha) seriously, it's a worthy investment.
Hi Ellen! New soaper here 🙋🏾♀️ Love Love Love your videos. Just Subbed to your channel. See you around 🤗
Thank you so much 🤗 And welcome!
Your soaps are lovely. If I may ask, do you stick to the 5% supper fat or increase the percentage for your body soaps?
Thank you I typically do 5% on all except my salt bars 😉
@@EllenRuthSoap thanks for your response, much appreciated.

It really depends on the fragrance, but most are very nice after the cure time.
Beautiful❤.. What additives you added along with TTD in second n third layer?
Just extra T.D. to brighten the color
What is in the container that you store the stick blender in when you're not using it? Is it warm soapy water?
Yes, it’s a tall pitcher filled with very warm soapy water😉
@@EllenRuthSoap Ok thank you! And it’s fine to just put that blender back into my batch to continue mixing later if I just shake it off, right?
