  • Original Music Video:
    • George Michael - Fastl...
    From Wikipedia:
"Directed by Vaughan Arnell and Anthea Benton, the music video begins with a flickering virtual reality image of a woman on a bed followed by a man sitting in a black chair using a high-tech remote control device to "flip" through a variety of sexual virtual reality characters. Michael appears in the black chair, which is equipped with speakers. At one point, one of the dancers is shown wearing headphones displaying the word 'FONY' in the style of the Sony corporate logo, a reference to the contractual dispute Michael was having at the time with Sony Music Entertainment (formerly CBS Records). Throughout the video, there is a variety of men and women, who display a spectrum of characteristics, including one who is shy (played by the song's producer Jon Douglas), another who is lustful, and another who is a complete emotional wreck (played by Rachel Williams) sitting in the chair and using the remote control to summon more sexual characters. As the video ends, Michael is seen dancing while water rains down on him. The video ends with the same flickering virtual reality image that introduces to the video.
The music video was nominated for three 1996 MTV Video Music Awards, including: Best Dance Video, Best Choreography in a Video and International Viewer's Choice Award-MTV Europe - which it won."

I wish i grew up in the 90s. I'm sure this was pretty risque for 90s standards back then. Such a cool sound.

I was 16 at the time, I remember more people talking about the “Fony” headphones and the dispute that George Michael had with Sony than about the “risqué” content. I loved the video back then and still love it now.

The reason according to me why you have those feelings,, is because it is based on an old composition. Patrice Rushens "Forgive me nots." George Michael was amazing in all different kinds of ways.
He was human. And this composition is one of my top ten, when it comes to groove, arrangement, lyrics and so on. Check out "Amazing" if you have not heard it before.

George Michael is/was definitely an incredible human being! I'm definitely a fan of him, not just as a performer, but as a person... I don't recognize "Amazing" by the title, but I may have heard it, I'll check it out!

Okay, so... I didn't recognize it by name... this song got a ton of air play (or what was the term back then? "Heavy rotation") back when I was in high school. I think I'm gonna save this one for the "reboot".😉 When Ryder and I react to popular songs/videos from when I was in high school. 😁
