i love when people make videos on random stuff they like or think about instead of following big trends, awesome video cobalt. excited for your next project!
This is THE BEST minecraft video I've watched in a long time. There's nothing extraordinary about the video, it's just a decade long curiosity to find out if Sethbling missed a diamond. And yet, the history is nostalgic and the answer is fulfilling. Who knows what would've happened differently in minecraft history if he looked up just a few pixels higher? The butterfly effect is powerful but we'll never know exactly how influential it truly is.
A lot of the videos made on Mindcrack now are ones that focus on it's downfall, so it's very nice to see one that's just about revisiting a fun moment and the good memories this crew has given us.
The iconic status of the Battle of Twin Peaks cannot be understated… I fondly remember playing a Minecraft map with my friends that was literally a 1-on-1 recreation of this battle; you and 6 friends would take on the role of each of the players with their exact inventories and everything on the same map… That one was a staple! Must’ve played it tens of times…
As a massive Mindcrack fan, I never expected to see a video essay like this about what made Mindcrack and UHC so special. It was truly a great moment in time in the history of Minecraft, and thank you for paying tribute to it so lovingly (even if we know the real best battle is Kurt going in Rambo in Season 10 😉). Incredibly well done!
what this video did a really cool job of was convincing me to care, at first i was like "okay whatever its just an extra diamond" but by the end i was like "Holy shit the diamond! it was there!" also i very much love the "in a world of diamond swords, be a jukebox" bit, whimsy and fun should always always take priority over meta competitiveness, especially in minecraft.
if you like this editing and presentation style, i recommend checking out Jon Bois and his work with Secret Base! its a huge inspiration for both BobbyBroccoli and this channel. i recommend "what if barry bonds had played without a baseball bat"
Excellent editing. Your dictation and pacing is just fantastic, it's slow enough to ingest, and fast enough to engage! You use inflection, your writinf is engaging too! Better than many on UA-cam. Great vid.
This video serves as a sort of intro to any follow-up videos discussing Mindcrack UHC. There's a lot to talk about (the Guude, the bad, and the Dinnerbone), and so if there's interest in me covering an entire season start to finish (I have a few in mind), I'd love to know. There's countless silly moments worth discussing at obscene lengths, and in fact I had to leave a few out because they deserve a dedicated look later down the line. Join the discord at discord.com/invite/tEhMMhyKXa to get access to the world used to make this video when it's released! It will include the 3,600 individual map tiles placed that make up the video's graphics along with a few additional easter eggs.
You really pulled this a great story together for this awesome passion project, it's great when you can tell just how proud someone is of what they made
The pang of nostalgia I got as soon as I saw the twin peaks was crazy. I haven’t thought about Mindcrack UHC in years, but it used to be me favourite UA-cam content bar none.
Another great video! I used to love watching UHC back in the day, I'd watch as many of the view points at the start and then end up only watching one or two as the season went on. Thanks for sharing this video :) I hope you have a great rest of your day
The editing on this video was insane, hopefully you keep this series up of looking back at niche moments in Minecraft’s past. Actually a fantastic job.
Oh man, when I clicked on this video, I wasn't expecting it to be a documentary with a style that's reminiscent of the legendary BobbyBroccoli and Jon Bois, but I am so happy that that's what it turned out to be! I absolutely love video storytelling in this style / format; you did such a wonderful job with crafting and illustrating an intriguing narrative, all while expressing your own creative vision and keeping it grounded in Minecraft by actually placing many of the assets in Minecraft itself (I fully realized this when some of the images were shown up close since it had the coloring / pixelation of map art). There's so much more I could highlight and praise but I think you get the point; this was a phenomenal video to watch. I'll definitely be adding your other video to my "Watch Later" playlist and will be looking forward to the projects that you create next :)
I’ve been feeling quite bad for Guude recently with how Mindcrack ended up and the fact that he dissolved the group just a few months ago. So it’s really nice to see him and the guys getting acknowledgment in such a great video. UHC was definitely one of the best minecraft series of all time. I will never forget the hype of seeing a new season / episode drop and watching everyone’s perspective. I wish we could go back to peak Mindcrack all over again - viewers today don’t have a clue what they missed out on.
The one vein of diamonds that has been on my mind for years has been the first diamonds that RenDog mined (and then immediately died), just the image of some diamonds in a lava lake with that texture pack was what stuck in my young mind.
finally, a Pretty Good episode about minecraft. this is a really good and interesting video, love the casual "look at this" nature of it. looking forward to more!!!
i clicked on this thinking itd be about the weird speed glitch that happened in season 14 (i think? my memory is fading lol) but this was super cool. i remember downloading the twin peaks map and simulating it with some school friends back in the day, good memories
Do remember "Etho MindCrack SMP - Episode 76: King Of The Boat" by any chance? This is by far one of the most enjoyable and favorite youtube videos I remember watching when younger
This is cool! I gotta be honest, I didn't even know that UHC originated from this series. But it's cool to see things about the early days of Minecraft youtube. The music and editing of the outro kinda reminds me of Football 17776, I wonder if it's inspired by that?
I never watched these when i was a kid (because i didn't know english when they came out) but a few years ago for whatever reason i decided to watch some of the seasons from sethbling's pov. The one where they spent multiple episodes on half a heart was some of the most exciting minecraft i've watched, despite being from a decade ago. It reminded me of watching the german equivalent to mindcrack uhc (called varo) when i was a kid
Ok but in 11 years I'm gonna make a video about the tiny mistake you made in this video. No spoilers.
I deserve that I think
SETH
Why is this not pinned
Numerous videos to come, right @SethBling ?
"Nobody's going to mind me missing a single ore."

This video also wouldn't have existed if Seth looked up

2:44 Most people actually have their heads over their heels most of the time. Dinnerbone’s proper orientation has his heels over his head.
I love the animation style so much really reminiscent of Jon Bois, the amount of maps this mustve took is crazy

the editing on this was insane good job frfr 🔥
Using a giant minecraft build to lay out all of the video's elements is very creative, good job
Even though the topic is so pointless, your editing and style is just so captivating, I could watch you talk about anything in existence 🤩
A completely pointless topic is absolutely on brand for the Jon Bois editing style
Reminds me a lot of Bobby Broccoli's editing, if you want to see similar editing
Hearing that Art of Balance music blasted my soul into the astral plane
Okay this video was way more enjoyable than I could've ever imagined, thanks so much for making it! :D Maybe I should watch that old series...
in 11 years time i will make a documentary about oldmanwillakers foot clipping into that brown concrete powder at 6:20
Confused me as to why I was subscribed, but bro was I hyped when I checked your channel Hahahah
Ps love the bobby broccoli style editing
if you like this editing and presentation style, i recommend checking out Jon Bois and his work with Secret Base! its a huge inspiration for both BobbyBroccoli and this channel. i recommend "what if barry bonds had played without a baseball bat"
@@appointmenteerthat ones great! I'm also a big fan of his video on poker or the two on the highest ever scoring game of basketball and football
oh yeah those two rule. really all his stuff his. have you seen the Mariners doc he and Alex Rubenstein did with Secret Base? its peak video imo
@@appointmenteer I forgot about that one! Maybe I need to watch it again 😅👍
Bro turn a 'You forgot a diamond on 4:40' comment into a entire magnificent 11 minute video
Excellent editing. Your dictation and pacing is just fantastic, it's slow enough to ingest, and fast enough to engage! You use inflection, your writinf is engaging too! Better than many on UA-cam. Great vid.
Wow im glad UA-cam put this in my recommended. So high quality yet only 2k views. You have a bright future!
Love the Jon bois style applied to Minecraft history

A full series analysis would be awesome!!! I could watch a bunch of your vids with ease!
please make more videos for the kids (me) who used to run home after school any time a new uhc video dropped
I'd love more videos discussing things that happened early in minecraft youtube history. It's both interesting and nostalgic.
What’s up with the compost/anvil/bed comet in the world download??
Naaa that’s so hype I watched so many hours of this series
You really pulled this a great story together for this awesome passion project, it's great when you can tell just how proud someone is of what they made
Love the retrospective on the old UHC videos, they don’t get enough credit
Minecraft Jon Bois is back!
This will be one of those yt classics
dude this is one of the best videos ive watched in a long time.

The pang of nostalgia I got as soon as I saw the twin peaks was crazy. I haven’t thought about Mindcrack UHC in years, but it used to be me favourite UA-cam content bar none.

Nice job turning such a small thing into an 11-minute video that had me hooked
SILY jumpscare caught me so off guard. Avalanches fans unite
Likewise
I never thought I'd see a Jon Bois style look back at UHC 13
Another great video! I used to love watching UHC back in the day, I'd watch as many of the view points at the start and then end up only watching one or two as the season went on.
Thanks for sharing this video :) I hope you have a great rest of your day
Why was this so ridiculously well edited
The editing on this video was insane, hopefully you keep this series up of looking back at niche moments in Minecraft’s past.
Actually a fantastic job.
came in expecting a simple world seed finding video, came out with a newfound appreciation for old minecraft youtubers

This was such an amazing video and brought back so many MindCrack memories, although you should have turned that last diamond into another jukebox
this has me on the edge of my seat by the end and i never even heard of this series.... great video!!!
mindrack uhc meets jon bois, never has a video spoken to me more. absolute cinema
goes so hard for no reason

Crazy video. I never watched minecraft when I was young but this somehow brings me nostalgia
AHHHH I remember those old UHCs! Thanks for bringing back the memories
5:05 "That poor jukebox was a liability"
And as anyone who knows a lot about MindCrack knows, Rob himself was a huge liability

Bobby broccoli style editing is my favorite recent yt trend
i think this might be my favorite minecraft video ever made
Wow, this is so cool! One of the best and most unique Minecraft videos I've seen in a long time.

That was the most random introduction I have ever seen
i clicked on this thinking itd be about the weird speed glitch that happened in season 14 (i think? my memory is fading lol) but this was super cool. i remember downloading the twin peaks map and simulating it with some school friends back in the day, good memories

Do remember "Etho MindCrack SMP - Episode 76: King Of The Boat" by any chance?
This is by far one of the most enjoyable and favorite youtube videos I remember watching when younger
dude this video is beautiful, amazing work
this video feels like it'd be a short chapter in a video chronicling all of UHC history, a la BobbyBroccoli. i mean this with the highest regards.
I've never even watched UHC and I felt nostalgia for it! this video is so good
This was one of the most unexpectedly great videos I've ever watched
This is cool! I gotta be honest, I didn't even know that UHC originated from this series. But it's cool to see things about the early days of Minecraft youtube.
The music and editing of the outro kinda reminds me of Football 17776, I wonder if it's inspired by that?
what a nice video! very refreshing
the first video where I had to replay the intro multiple times since it went by so fast that my brain couldn't catch up
I never watched these when i was a kid (because i didn't know english when they came out) but a few years ago for whatever reason i decided to watch some of the seasons from sethbling's pov.
