If your a fully prepared PDI, you should be capable of delivering a first class part 3 lesson anywhere not just on routes that you know. If you can’t adapt your skills to any roads, anywhere, any student then maybe you are not ready for part 3? I’m just about to take my part 2 test, I should be able to apply my driving skills equally in John o’Groats or the centre of London. Just my take on the whole thing.
Hi John, excellent videos. Thanks for sharing your expertise. Just a qs please. Im looking into becoming an instructor, i live in the Stoke area. What advice would you give. Many thanks
Hi nizhat that's great to hear. Advice would be to choose a company that will give you one to one training if possible. Craig Polle is good otherwise get in touch me with. Apart from that make sure it's definitely the right move for you. It's a tough journey through the training and not everyone makes it.
If choosing juctions /crossroads as a subject how many times does the pupil need to be doing g thw crossroads and is it mainly focused on the road ahead?
This is a great video. Your videos are very useful. I have a question..For part 3 you can take a partially trained learner but not a learner that’s just started learning. If a learner has done moving off and stopping and is competent in doing that, from your experience would it be acceptable to take them for part 3 with a lesson plan of junctions turning left and if they doing well turning right?
Yes if they have done moving and stopping then they should be fine but some left and rights aswell would be good. They just don't want you to need to constantly pull over and if the learner is very new they would need this.
I'm starting my training to be an instructor in September after when I've passed the theory, and applying for the pink badge which will help me alot, is their any tips please? That will be a big help. Thank you, your videos are amazing and will help me pass my part 3 when it comes to it.
Hey Courtney thank you for commenting people don't know how much it helps. Really pleased the videos have helped that was the idea when I started them. Biggest tip is join the discord because there are so many others in your situation willing to help you will learn loads.🙌😁
Hi Courtney, are you doing all the tests separately on your own accord, or did you sign up to one of those driving schools that do the whole thing for £2000+, courses, teaching, car etc included? I’m trying to decide what path to take. But for me, buying a new car, and getting loans isn’t an option I want to take! There’s one called Myfourwheels, but I’ve read mixed reviews, I want someone who’s already a driving instructor to recommend a company, rather than me looking on Google!
@@jonnygti the problem you have is it massively depends on your area Jon, if you were Staffordshire way that's easy but it's different every where. Where are you?
@@jonnygti I'm based in Blackpool, I'm doing all of my training with a driving school, I've passed my test with them too, I've been on Google looking at different driving schools round my area they are charging £3500 for the whole course.
Hi mate, great videos. I just wanted to ask a couple of questions, I’m thinking of learning to become a driving instructor, but there’s a few things I want to ask. Such as if you join a driving school who supply a car to teach in, you pay like £2300 for everything, including the teaching and 3 parts of the test etc, but what happens if you fail one or more parts? Surely you don’t have to spend another £2300, do you just pay individually for whatever test you failed on? Or is it not as simple as that? I’m not too worried about the theory, and practical side of it, it’s the part 3, where the examiner will be watching me teach someone, that I would be sh£tting bricks about😂 I mean knowing how to drive up to standard, and pass an extended theory test is one thing, but teaching someone to drive to a high enough standard to pass the test, when you’ve never taught anyone in your life, is a pretty daunting task isn’t it! I’ll be so worried that I’ve missed something they’ve done, or they’ve done something that would be classed as dangerous, but I’ve not picked up on it, or perhaps something I said, or didn’t say. I think im questioning myself too much, I don’t know 🤷♂️ 😂 Your videos do help a lot though mate, so thanks for those. Just a little help on the above questions would be great, cheers😁👍🏻
Hey Jon, that is a lot of things to worry about and we have and still all do worry about those things and more. First off if you fail one of the tests then no you will just have to pay for that individual test again. You may have to pay for the individual tests on top of the 2300 anyway double check that one. As for the part 3, everyone is in the same boat. No one has a clue how to teach people how to drive and thats why you are spending that money on a course and training to learn. They are expecting you to not have a clue the same as I didnt and no one else does. Just go into it with an open mind and be prepared to learn, do as much research as you can reading, youtube and websites and you will be ready faster. Join the discord seriously it will help you a lot! I bet money on it:)

Starting my PDI journey, only thing not looking forwards to is the franchise fee 😱 but it gets my foot in the door. Two things made me go for franchise, I am not business or marketing minded, so would give up, so going to give a pdi franchise a go and see what happens.

Thanks for your advice. Just question. What topic is easy to do for part 3 please?
Roundabouts is always a popular choice. But easiest I'm it sure.

Hi Josh, did you make a video that just covers the part 3 marking sheet, if so could you send me the link please 🙏 😊
