HOW TO MAKE: Homemade Naan and Yogurt Flatbread | David Rocco's Recipes

Today we're showing you how to make these delicious Naan/Piadina/Flatbread! These are made with flour and yogurt and then folded with Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Oven Roasted Tomatoes and Greens.
Here is the recipe!
For the Naan:
1 Cup Self Rising Flour
1 Cup Greek Yogurt
1 Tsp Olive Oil
1/2 Tsp salt
* 2 Tsp Flour for dusting
* 2 Tsp Olive Oil for brushing
In a large bowl add flour and salt to combine, then add yogurt and olive oil and with your hands combine to form a dough. Add the dough from the bowl to a clean dry surface, and continue to knead occasionally dusting the surface with flour. Continue for 3-4 minutes or until the dough no longer sticks to your hands or surface.
Divide the dough into 4 or 5 little balls and flatten each with a rolling pin. In a very hot skillet, brush the pan with olive oil and add the flattened dough and brush top side of dough with olive oil. When bubbles begin to form, flip the dough and cook the other side. Continue to cook each side until the dough has charred and bubble marks. About 1 minute. Serve immediately or while warm.
Top the Naan Flatbread with mozzarella, prosciutto slices, oven roasted cherry tomatoes, and greens, fold.
* How to make Self-Rising Flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

I LOVE this recipe and started making it during this pandemic when the yogurt is getting ready to go bad I make little pizzas and use leftovers to make different combos. yesterday I had a few potatoes and cooked and in the frig so I chopped them up with garlic and onion and fresh tarragon and sprinkled into the bread while cooking one side........and flipping it over with everything smushed in...Delicious

...hyyy !!! Dear David !!...greetings from India , ur huge fan !!, ......the best naan can only be made in clay oven only , just like the best pizzas r made in wood fire oven !! Good effort though !!😊😊
Most of us don't have a clay oven though
..... I hate to say it, but this is the first time David Rocco has let me down..... I first time I tried it using cake flour and it just didn't come together. So I tossed that dough and started a new one with unbleached flour and mixed it like David did in the video. And the exact same thing thing happened again when using unbleached flour. It just didn't come together whatsoever. It felt like a scone dough. I used all the yogurt that I had bought so I couldn't even make my regular naan recipe that is amazing. Now I have to go back to the sore and get more yogurt.
You should have made butter chicken along with naan

U SHOULD HAVE DRIZZLED A BIT OLIVE OIL ON THE DOUGH IN ORDER TO AVOID THE STICKY TEXTURE OF THE DOUGH.
