When starting a new game KILL the antenna/becon/ore detector/ it gives you about 2/3 more hours on the battery Tip: also grind down the atmosphere engines so you get the grids to make small Large cargo container. :D
It's strange, the best space engineers content creators are generally large channels like Spitsie, yet I like the smaller ones, just subbed!

In my country we have SH***Y gaming videos. I couldn’t find any channels to watch some GOOD content but this channel seems noice.

The dillema in starting in space engineers is that the moon messes you up with energy, but the earth messes you up with gravity (seriously limiting your ability to go into space, which sucks.
Also, I didn't buy and install space engineers to first grind through several hours of minecraft.

18:10 It's a bit too late, but you should change the hight of the wehicle by changing wheel offset, not wheel strength.
I usually change either or both at times.

Of you set your wheels to really fast, it is so fun tp travel
It's a slight extra waste on your jetpack fuel, but I found that if you press X to jetpack, and you face your hand drill's top right towards moon rock, you get multiple rocks of 300 per drilling. You push yourself against the ground, essentially.
This mans doesn't bother to turn off his jetpack mid flight, i dont think he's worried about wasting fuel
I know this is an old vid but I used to booster to leave the moon and am about to touch down on earth in the rover. I just got the game yeserday so I'm testing the mechanics and it's possible as of now.

Only a few minutes in, but I haven't tried a moon base yet. Is Space Engineers modelled after real-life in regards to lunar days?
I tried to find info on it, but couldn't.
I mean, I could just continue watching, but I've already sunk 20 minutes in trying to figure it out. In real life, a lunar day is just over 29 Earth days. The moon is also tidally locked with Earth, meaning the same part of the moon is always facing Earth.
This combo means that you'll get about 22 days of daytime and 8 days of nighttime on any specific part of the moon.
With a day in SE being 2 hours long, that means your night should last about 16 hours and the day about 44 hours of real time.
Somehow I doubt this is the case...

I have a question, how do you get iron? Because they say it's super common on astroids, but I have never found any,, I fly to 5 astroids and only find some nikel and some silicone.. What do I do wrong?
I don't think you are doing anything wrong. Sometimes the ore you want just doesn't show up until you don't need it. You can try using ore detectors, large or small grid to aid in finding it. But you can also do without, as you can mine stone from the asteroid to get iron. Keep looking, and good luck.

Awesome video I liked and subscribed.I have a question I started on earth but I want to go to the moon.is it hard finding platinum.i need it for the ion thrusters cause hydrogen thrusters need a lot of ice.
@Nikita Meshkov I can't recall exactly, but I don't think you can find platinum on earth unless you have meteors on, but even then it will be very small amounts. Your best bet is to plop on a few hydro thrusters to get out of earths atmosphere and start searching for platinum on asteroids or moons. Even then its can be quite rare but definitely do able. Helps to have a large ore detector because platinum is usually fairly deep in moons. On asteroids, you can actually spot them on the surface sometimes. IMO, even though hydro thrusters use too much ice, I prefer to use them over Ion Thrusters because they provide more thrust. There are a few tricks to conserve the hydrogen, such as turning your backward thrusters off while going forward, turn dampeners off when you can, or turn thruster override on.

@MajorGaming 6703 I'm not too sure. This series will likely end once I destroy my base or survival kit/medical bay by accident... There is a 60% to 70% chance that may happen with my piloting skills 😅. But we have a lot of fun ideas for both the Unwanted Engineers series and our Space Engineers Challenges. Where is this scenario? Ive just bought the game, looking to mimic your game on my own, but all of the scenarios built into the game, and all scenarios I find on STEAM for moon survival all have bases and such built up. Is there ANY survival scenario built into the game where you start with just a lander, next to nothing???
@Dan Siegel It is actually not a scenario in the game. It is a custom game and spawned on the moon rover when prompted. Go to new game, click on the 3rd tab custom game, and start it up. It will ask you where to spawn shortly after. Good luck 🤞.
@@PandemicPlayground When I go to the custom tabs, I have Alien Planet, Crashed Red Ship, Dead Drop Arena, Earth Planet, Empty World, Green Station, Lone Survivor, Mars Planet, Moon Base, Red Ship, Rival Platforms, and Star System - these are the custom games that I have available, without using any modded games. I've tried several of them, and they don't give me any spawn options, I spawn in a base - its nothing like the beginning of your video. So which custom game and world are you using??

@@PandemicPlayground Lol, yeah I figured it out from watching another one of your videos where you did actually go through the settings. The MOST important step it appears is to disable automatic spawning, to give you the location you want. I did that, selected the moon, and then dropped from orbit in the same vehicle you had. Presto!! Thanks for the prompt and helpful replies!!

how do you do the jump in the lander?
He put his Hydrogen thruster on his toolbar in the cockpit so he could turn it on and use it to fly upwards, on the starter pod the ion thruster is hidden so you have to go in the Control panel for the pod and show hidden items and click show in control panel so you can put it in your toolbar, careful though cause the ion thruster uses up your ice in the O2/H2 generator
Hold down C for a few seconds and let go will also allow a bunny hop maneuver.
