One of my favorite projects to date. Just an amazing custom home theater. Full color changing LED light strips embedded into a custom wood panel acting as diffusers. This was a two month planned project. Custom Home Theater in Prosper Texas.
I even got my hands dirty on this Home Theater and did all of the ceiling work and lighting work. The Custom theater seating is a work of art in the room. The Led light strips are just the icing...literally.

Looks amazing! I feel like I would've flipped everything 90° so the screen and seating would run lengthwise.
Well there was a giant window on that wall and a door on the other wall so this was the best option. Also clients (especially interior designers) don't like walking into the back of chairs.

This is a fabulous custom job! Even the seeds are low not to block the sound from the rears. Are ties front wides on the side wall in front?
We had to go in ceiling for the fronts which are 45 degree angle aimed at seat custom Triad. Sound great. Couldn't go side of screen as they wanted to watch with teh door open and would cover the speaker and AT wasn't in budget. Always something we can come up with
Interesting and fascinating insight from the design perspective. I'm curious what choices would've been made if it focused more on sound vs aesthetic. The furniture looks exquisite. I wish I saw more HTs focus on that.
It's an interior designers home..so the focus will NEVER be on Sound vs. aesthetic. If you ever worked with them you'd know. You do as much as you can get away with because it's their home. So you have to be as thoughtful as they are and come up with solutions that sound good inside their aesthetic. Also things like in ceiling frong although not ideal....can sound great if you do the right thing with them.

Nice room! I understand the door issue, but an inwall speaker with an acoustic screen would've probably be much nicer. And there'sa speaker on the front left side wall? Is it side soround?
Exactly right. amazing design but left and right speaker in the ceiling and the center under the screen Thats not home theater that is just sound.

Client didn’t want to pay the extra for the acoustically transparent version. It was proposed. We pivot our design for every single scenario that’s what we did here.

So i actually have a blacked out light controlled room with velvet fabric on the walls and ceilings. I did everything myself and did it pretty inexpensive. have an older cheap 2040 Epson projector. I’m cheap… but the blacks are terrible and I want to make it better. I like to buy used thinking of getting Sony or JVC projector but should I get black diamond screen instead? I have a silver ticket 135 in white now. Don’t have the budget for both… at least not at the same time.
SCreen first always. All those amazon screens are garbage.

I love the sony. Just needed a little more brightness in here for a few reasons. The AV isnt even the hero here. lol.

What LED power supply and controller did you use?
All American lighting and DMZ...I dont remember the exact model. They are all spec'd by the lighting company and controlled with C4...they are in the attic so hard to get to now.
What couch is that?
I don’t actually know sadly, I know the Client got it at Nebraska furniture Mart. Could probably just look through their selection online.
Where did you get the LED tree lights from?
Interior designer / Home Owner did that. I actually don't know where they come from. I'd imagine a google search can find them. Large one plugs in the other two small ones are battery.

Not always the most important part of a room...you do the best you can with the issues you're given as a designer.
