it been six months since i saw kinky boots (i saw it when brendon urie and j harrison ghee were charlie and lola) and im still listening to this soundtrack bc its so amazing
The part in the shoe where don and lola were fighting in slow motion was hilarious. Don was being obliterated while lola was punching and posing for the people.
Can I just say, Steve Pateman, the real Charlie Price deserves way more credit??? Even though Broadway literally profited off his entire existence and story, he didn’t get a single penny from them. Sadly, unlike the musical, his shoe factory ended up going out of business so he works as a fireman now 😞 He’s a super nice guy too. Even when his factory ran out of business, he made sure his employees were able to find new jobs. However the Broadway musical doesn’t give him any credit or profits for using life his story as a stage show. The only thing they gave him (which they gave begrudgingly) was a Broadway ticket but he couldn’t even afford to go because he didn’t have enough money for a flight and hotel. They won’t let him sell his book at the theaters either nor do they really discuss or credit to the origin and backstory of him and the Northampton factory workers in the playbill. It’s awful that the Broadway musical doesn’t give him enough credit or money for even though they make thousands off his life story. After years of being unnoticed, he finally came out and wrote a book about his life story (and profits go towards firefighters too, he’s such a sweet guy), but he still deserves WAYYY more credit than Broadway gives him, Help this guy out and learn his real story here. I watched the show online on "the show must go on" and this part confused me. Why did that one female coworker go against Lola in this scene when she didn't seem to have a problem with Lola during any other part of the show?
I saw it too. In “What a Woman wants“ you can see her getting kind of aroused when Lola/Simon dances with her. After that she looks disgusted and storms off. I believe she realised that she had feelings for Lola/Simon (a guy who wears high heels, makeup and behaves very feminine) and she was scared if she liked him/her (because of the way he/she presents and not his genitalia), she could also like women. I hope that made sense. I honestly don’t know the real reason, but for me it seems like internalised homophobia that got triggered and so externalised.
I love how when I listen to this with earbuds the voices are actually coming from different corners
Now I wonder how much I missed having only one ear bud in.
Bianca Grava *gets earbuds*
Bianca Grava and it’s accurate on stage! On the left of the stage (audience perspective) that’s where the “bad guys” are :)
I was laughing so hard at this part
I remember the referee going “AH! YOU HAVE LIPSTICK ON YOUR TEETH!!” and Lola screamed
_I can’t-_
This musical is so under rated compared to others but DAMN DOES IT SLAY
pro trick: you can watch series on flixzone. Been using them for watching loads of movies lately.
@Korbin Kylo yup, have been watching on flixzone} for years myself :D

This part had to be the most exciting part. Everyone was actually cheering while the two were fighting! Lola was MAGNIFICENT!
My fave part of this musical. So powerful!
Saw this yesterday and OMG i loved it, it was AMAZING best.Musical.Ever !!!!! If anyone reads this and hasn’t seen it, you haven’t lived
It was amazing when I saw it live! Even better than the studio version!
The part in the shoe where don and lola were fighting in slow motion was hilarious. Don was being obliterated while lola was punching and posing for the people.
I love the girl/guy who plays kim chi. I love the way she sounds.
They are all men ;)
Yeah I know! Lol. Why I said girl/guy cuz he's so fricken talented
Yeah I saw it live a while ago in London, the moment when all the transvestites started singing was probably one of the best - amazing voices!
I want to see it so bad! I just started getting into this musical a few months ago. The US tour came near me a year ago and I didn't see it!
You have to see it, man! Really fun, but now you already know the story :P
who is the referee? because DAMN his voice. saw the boot for the first time and this is soooo underrated as a musical
Joey Taranto!!!! I actually got to meet him in person, he’s AWESOME (he’s played that exact role for six years now)
Thorgy Thor from rupaul's drag

No one TOLD ME. THIS. WAS. THAT. GOOD.
This song made me realize just how much of a lesbian i am....
Jake Cat why
WHO IS THE REFEREE??? I was knocked out (haha) by the voice when I saw it live. Unfortunately, the bio photos in the program are unrecognizable...
wendy darling S A M E
i'm late to this comment but Joey Taranto has been the referee most of the time
Alex Newell would be great for the role of the referee

@@broadwaybrat1986 Thanks for the reply. That's really the only thing that could make it all make sense.
Wait so who wins?!
Lola lets him win.
Don
Sophie Warden Don
But it’s Lola who made him win 👀
myfakereality wait why does Lola let him win!
@@cassandraperez7336 he did it so Don wouldn't go back to the shop and be humiliated, Don respected him after that
Anyone knows which Actor this is ?
I think Joey Taranto is referee.
The german song in this corner is better as the Broadway.
Fantastic singers, but the accent...
What do you expect? The story is based in england.
SplatterQueen That's the point. Many people think their accents (depending on what area of England they're meant to be from) suck.
Noah Henderson they're from Northampton, apparently.
Blue Turtle well Lola and her crew are from London I believe, while Charlie and everyone from the factory are from Northampton.
romy gill Yeah that’s right, which is why Don’s possy sing “and send them back to London Town” love that part😭😍
