- Well, here's the Rush test! No matter what I try with this guitar, it performs perfectly!!
'Subdivisions' is from the 1982 Rush album 'Signals'. Words by Neil Peart. Music by Geddy Lee and Alex 'Lerxst' Lifeson.

LYRICS:
Sprawling on the fringes of the city
In geometric order
An insulated border
In between the bright lights
And the far unlit unknown
Growing up it all seems so one-sided
Opinions all provided
The future pre-decided
Detached and subdivided
In the mass production zone
Nowhere is the dreamer
Or the misfit so alone
Subdivisions -
In the high school halls
In the shopping malls
Conform or be cast out
Subdivisions -
In the basement bars
In the backs of cars
Be cool or be cast out
Any escape might help to smooth
The unattractive truth
But the suburbs have no charms to soothe
The restless dreams of youth
Drawn like moths we drift into the city
The timeless old attraction
Cruising for the action
Lit up like a firefly
Just to feel the living night
Some will sell their dreams for small desires
Or lose the race to rats
Get caught in ticking traps
And start to dream of somewhere
To relax their restless flight
Somewhere out of a memory
Of lighted streets on quiet nights…
Subdivisions -
In the high school halls
In the shopping malls
Conform or be cast out
Subdivisions -
In the basement bars
In the backs of cars
Be cool or be cast out
Any escape might help to smooth
The unattractive truth
But the suburbs have no charms to soothe
The restless dreams of youth
Any escape might help to smooth
The unattractive truth
But the suburbs have no charms to soothe
The restless dreams of youth
Still at it😎
Always! 😁
Impressive! Well done my friend! Love it!
Thank you, Karlos! 😎👍
Nice guitar and great playing! 😉👌💯
Thank you very much! Greatly appreciated! 😎👍
Sounding great as usual, tone is great.
I've never been a Rush fan, yet here I am listening!!!
Thank you, Dale! Your sacrifice has been noted and logged! 😁👍
@@Axess-sv8nq Ha ha...not a sacrifice since you play it so well, enjoyed the video for sure.
I don't know why I never got into Rush.
@@dalesmyth7398 Ahh. Well, I'm just about to record and upload a new song. It shows where the new pickups went instead of the new Les Paul. Video should be up within the hour.
@@Axess-sv8nq Oh ok, cool. I'll be waiting on that.
@@dalesmyth7398 About to upload it. I'm VERY surprised how great the pickups sound! They made me like my SG Muse again!
Great playing! Serious tone zone. Happy to find your channel!
Hey! Welcome! Thank you very much! I create all my amp sim presets from scratch. So all those tones are from my tortured mind! Haha! I tend to be a mad scientist about them. 😎👍
This is a fantastic guitar cover
Thank you, Amin!
Sounds great man
Thank you, Deedee!
In the high school halls
In the shopping malls
Conform or be cast out
sounds like Canada nowadays
love this song
It's my favorite Rush song of all of them! It was exactly how my life was growing up as a teenager and going to high school. I didn't conform. So, people mostly ignored me. haha! And, yep, that's definitely Canada these days!
You have that right this SX is incredible!! Great performance Axess2084 Rock it out yes!! Rush is the shizzzzz....
Thank you, brother! I didn't have to change anything on this guitar - BUT, I'm getting locking tuners for it anyway. They're arriving from zZounds tomorrow or Saturday. ALSO, get this, I needed to buy extra stuff to make the payment plan kick in. So, I picked up some strings - and the Blackstar ID:Core 20 V3! I'm gonna name the amp: "The Elvis 5000'! 👍😁👍
@@Axess-sv8nq Awesomeness!! You got the Blackstar cool beans man!! You bought there new one the v3 cool
@@ElvisPretzel-rv3bg Well, hopefully, I'll be putting out those Elvis TONES pretty soon! 😁
@@Axess-sv8nq hahahaha!! Thanks Axess2084 but you got me beat by a Longshot!! 😆 🤣 so you got the new one that has the interface in it yes??
@@ElvisPretzel-rv3bg It has a USB connection where you can edit stuff and record direct into the computer. Here's the link to it: www.zzounds.com/item--BLCIDCORE20V3?siid=291937
Likeee 4 for you my friend 🙌🙌🙌🙌💣💣💣💣💣🙏😎🤘
Thank you, Su! 👍😎👍😎👍😎🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶
? ax could you get these sounds that you create live performing with a band on stage
If I had the same amps and effects that are represented in the amp sim preset, yes. In the preset, I used a Soldano SLO-100 amplifier - with 2 cabinets, 2 equalizers, Tube Screamer, chorus, delay, reverb, and a stereo spreader. If I couldn't afford the expensive Soldano amp, I could use a similar amp like the 5150 (or similar), or even Blackstar, or any high gain capable amplifier. Heck, I used to do Rush songs with my Peavey Stereo Chorus 212 back in the 1990s.
That sounds like an Oberheim synth on the record. Oh, wait was I supposed to be listening to the guitar? lol Glad this guitar is still impressing you.
Haha! Yes, it's an Oberheim. You keyboard types - sheesh! Anyway, yeah, the guitar does everything I need it to. Couldn't ask for better! 😎👍
@@Axess-sv8nq The Oberheim OBX is my favorite synth. I have a VST of it that I use quite often in my music.
