Is there a folk music sound anywhere as beautifully mournful as Jason and Pharis Romero? I don't think so. I second you, Noah Cline, about chills and the gourd banjo.
Phew, gave me chills. I’m familiar with Bruce Molsky’s version of this tune, but I’ve not heard too many people cover it. This one takes the cake. I love what Jason gets out of his gourd banjos.
Fantastic!
That banjo sounds absolutely beautiful. Lovely stuff.
Most impressive is comparing Jason’s version to the original. He really has a gift for finding beauty on the fringes.
So cool! Congratulations, mate!

Sick entry note Pharis!! So stanky!

Thank you dear one!
Excellent.
Love you guys, I think I figured out Jason's tuning.. is it G C F A# C?
Either that or d#CFA#C with the fifth tuned down a step (fDGCD relative).
