Life As A Young Chicano Growing Up In Inglewood California The Transition From Tagging To Banging #viralvideo #viralshort #inglewood #vlog #mustwatch #viral #rip #rap #real #hiphop
I grew up in Inglewood during this era; I was in STL, I even had it tatted and we were cool with the OST crew since we had beef with the same crews. And it’s true; 18st in Inglewood basically picked the most active members from crews and made them join.
Wassup Miguel, its nice to see you doing well and making these videos about our youth. I would love to link and catch up one of these days. Last time I saw you was at the “P” bench our freshman year at IHS. Great channel, keep up the hard work! -Jose Trejo
That's how it was in the 80s n 90s pretty much everywhere. Growing up in NELA it was the same thing, most of us were tagging or tag banging or oners. Once the local gangs caught wind it was either get in the hood or get greenlit. In my area the major crews were crews like CMK,BAK,AMK,DUI,OFA, And I think DKC
If the whole point of being in a prison gang is to not show you not a punk if you force people to be in your gang you showing they punk and allowing punks to represent for you. That would be making you punk as well for your gang you representing as a whole with them.
Only bustas allowed the local gang turn you into a gang. Writers that were down never let that happen. Stayed true to the crew and never gang banged. Late 80s and 90s I was more afraid of my dad than the gangs.
Oh man… watching this video brought me memories.. nothing but facts…
Good video..
