I had a heart attack a few years ago about the time when this tune was first coming out. A young doctor laid the second stint, and had the radio on in the operating room. Of all songs that could have played it was this one (no joke for real.) Yeh, I got up off the ground, and so this tune has some real special meaning to me.
👍👍way go brother. Keep up the good fight. Stay healthy
Great story! One step at a time brother! Keep it up!!
I feel ya man. Doin' the chemo radiation thing. Very motivational song
Had similar going on three years ago now (just one stint) - no soundtrack in the OR but was awake and watched everything in real time on a 42" hd tv --- up until your comment, I had only listened to this song (100s of times) with political blinders on thinking it was a great analogy for our country getting up off the ground after all this BS around every election ...but to think about this song in those personal terms having been through something similar is kind of eye-opening for me ... thanks for sharing.
Hell yeah brother! Keep on keepin on!
Everyone else fall in love with this song in under 5 seconds?
ME!!!!!!
Yep
♥️
I can't stop but smile every time I hear this song... 64 year old bass player and just love it! Blues Southern fusion.
I've seen these guys live twice now, they're even better in person :) If they're playing near you, go see them, you won't regret it! :)
Going tonight!! CanNOT wait
Heard this for the first time today while driving from a job site on the back roads of horse country. The station never said who it was. Had to search for this when I got home. Love it!
Now that is a badass bassline!
The bassist in this band is simply a beast!
Kasumo Twobun It sure is.
The bassist and steel slide guitarist are so fantastic!
this guy's JAMMS!!

Just saw them for the second time tonight. Great energy and talent. Plus visited with them after the show and they couldn’t be any more down to earth and appreciative. Everyone needs to see them when they pass through your town!
This is the BEST NEW BAND I have heard in over 20 years, my hats off the bass player, dude you got the groove, you seriously rock!!!!!
As a long time 65 yr old guitar player, this is exactly what it's like to be appreciated in the music industry 👍
How long have you been a 65-year-old?
@@Benneducci... longer than you... skippy 👍 🤣
I love this song!! The bass line is incredible!
That's the blues for ya baby
Inspired by "Buena" by Morphine.

Lynnegrl just saw them yesterday in Denver, with Bob Seger. Holy cow! They really were great, weren’t they?
Discovered this song by switching music channels on the TV -- LOVE IT -- Very clean, old school, bluesy rock n roll!
My son played this song and I instantly Liked it so much I ordered the CD.
Every once in awhile I return to this for inspiration. Helped me pick myself up off the ground!
Every once in a while I find a song that I like immediately upon first hearing it. This is one of those songs...great sound :)
My feeling exactly.
Benjamin Flanders same same same ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
So good. I instantly got hooked.
TOTALLY AGREE!!!
If music from the 70's and 90's had a child
The Record Company would be it. Great stuff!!!!
this band is a fresh breathe of air. first heard them on #74 Bluesville on Sirius radio.
I grew up on 60s country and 70s funk rock. I love this sound. Stay True and DON"T CHANGE!!
When the levee breaks
These guys absolutely killed it at Mountain Jam this weekend - this was one of many standout tunes. The bass line is killer.
this band is so refreshing, with a classic feel!! I LOVE IT!!!
This band digs deep! Instant Classics !!!!!!
They've bottled the blues into a soulful form with the energy of a thousand suns! - Guitar Radio
Guitar Radio Funked out blues.. sounding damn good to me! 😀
Nailed it
When you hear a song for the first time, you sometimes just groove to the beat or enjoy the composition. Then, you come back later and really listen to the lyrics. Today is the day the lyrics hit me hard...stages of life sometimes draw you to songs that you first didn't understand, but later speak truth.
this was love at first sight for me. love the sound. i really dig this band...!!
Just saw them in NYC a month ago in a small bar. Incredible!! Blues based rock n roll is alive again. these guys are paving the way. Can't wait to see them again.
You know I’m now 60. Grew up listening to all types of music ,Elvis,The Who ,Doors,Lenard Skinner,RUSH Led Zepplin AC/DC Motley Crew Deff leopard CCR Bo Diddley Phil Collin’s Johnny Cash etc etc etc But you GUYS ARE JUST SO FRESH AND SO MUCH APPRICIATED love your Sound and the vocals but the Guitar Riffs are just killer as an Ex Guitar player for over 15 years but still miss it,It’s in my blood keep up the great tunes Hope you are able to come in concert to Chicago
You gotta appreciate the groove of this tune!
I saw these guys live a year ago, you have to see his slide guitar playing! It's fucking insane! and also his rock Harmonica was epic too!
Just saw a pair of wonderful lady bits on the way home from work as I was thumping this loudly from my car speakers! Check another from the bucket list and thank you mighty beautiful woman, you made an old man feel young again!
Heard this on WXRT 93.1 Chicago yesterday......LOve it!
once upon a time, 'Xrt was the only place one could hear music like this.. Oh how times have changed
Weird, I heard it on 95.1 Chicago for the first time tonight........needless to say, I'm hooked!
I'm talking about back in the '70's and early 80's when 'Xrt was the only station in Chicago that wasn't "mainstream" Some stations followed their lead over the years.
'Xrt was one of a handful of stations in the country that wasn't driven by sponsors to play what THEY wanted to be aired. "Xrt devoted much of its airplay to local bands, and today what's called "Indie". Even later into the '80's and early '90's, local Chicago bands such as, Liz Phair, Smashing Pumpkins, Urg Overkill, Material Issue, to name a few, were given a chance to be heard by the inimitable staff of DJ's at 'Xrt
love that this great song was able to get airplay. gives me a glimmer of hope that radio stations start ditching the garbage and play more solid material!
The sound of old, but all new!
I saw these dudes support Blackberry Smoke in London, in 2015. That was one of the greatest gigs I have ever been to
Puts the bass in basement, smokes Lucky Strikes made from your soul, drinks The Hangin Judge at the crossroads of forever. Love it.
Seriously! I love this band and I could listen to them the whole day :)
I do
That’s my plan just discovered them. Amazing meld. So much Talent. A Baseline to die for. Yup I’m a fan
First heard this on 107.1 WXPK in New York. It seemed like they played this song every hour, and I don't blame them for doing so. This is a great band.

Love this song, turned up the stereo at work when this song came on, just an awesome sound. A rock, blues sound that gets you moving!
Glad to see there is still music being made with that blues vibe that actually good!
Saw them twice in concert, once in some tiny little venue in Phoenix, once in a huge stadium in Vancouver and their sound is identical. His vocals and that guitar, just superb
Well thank you very much. Cheers
You should consider yourself incredibly lucky... I found out about this incredible band of ruffian Souther Blues fellows by absolute accident.. Watching an episode of SEAL Team on TV and this song was on... Wrote down what I could catch of the lyrics, Googled them, and then the magic happened!
@@therecordcomp Huge compliment when I say it reminds me of Morphine and the Sandman
I'm 60 and I love It and you should see my grand-kids move to it !!! 9-16-18

I just discovered these guys tonight and every song I've listened to is really good. And lucky me, their next show is in my backyard.
I've just added this gem to my "legendary rock songs" playlist.
These guys opened up for Bob Segers final concert a few years back here in Vancouver Canada
Loved them since
My son and daughter are in Portland as we speak, to see The Record Company lead off for Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band. Wish I could be there as well. This band is the real deal and the perfect band to lead off for Seger. Probably sold out by now as it was a replacement concert for one they had to cancel in 2017. Hope those folks held onto their tickets! Can't wait to hear how the show went.
As good as I have EVER heard!
Saw them open for Bob Seger yesterday in Denver. Wow! They were great live! Had never heard of them. Now I’m figuring out which album to start with. Well worth your time to go see in concert, if you can.
Just heard them on Howard Stern Wrap Up Show today and I kinda dig em. Three young dudes who seem to be passionate about rock and roll. We need more like them.
I saw them for the first time live last night in Omaha. All I gotta say is these guys are tight! Great live show...
I just heard this song on the Blues Channel on Sirius XM radio. One song - one helluva song -- made me a fan!

Estas son las bandas que mantienen el espíritu del rock n roll vivo!!!!!
Heard this at the gym today.... I instantly fell in love.
Bill Handel uses this as his bumper music on his radio talk show. GREAT song. Definitely going to get more from this band now!
Saw these folks open for The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band at Knucklehead's Saloon in Kansas City, MO. Great match-up, and Rev's audience loved them.
This is strong. Love it when I stumble upon great jams.
Some of us olders that refuse to do anything but ROCK our CODGERHOOD the best we can need this. THIS music makes it easy. I was complaining that it's nearly impossible to find good new music and a bud sent me this link. DAYUM! I paused it and went to get a beer from the fridge. NOW WERE TALKIN!
That is one mean bass player, and the rest of the band. REAL MUSIC
I heard this on Birmingham Mountain Radio, and found it on youtube with 24K views. I wish these guys much success.
How can anybody truly give this a thumbs down? Love the song but love the sound ..

This was one of the comeback songs for me post chemo & radiation... still works
Tommy and I are in the front row. Love The Record Company!!!
We've seen them 4 times. Chris Vos is such a personable guy!!!! He took a lot of time to talk to my (prodigy) son at 15. He's now almost 20 and LOVES THE RECORD COMPANY!!!!!
Saw these guys in concert last week (opened for BlackBerry Smoke)...came home and downloaded their albums. Been jamming to them all week

These guys have a fantastic classic blues groove going on. I am also a huge fan of Kaleo from Iceland. I feel that they have that "new" classic rock sound that I have missed for so long. Check 'em out.
