I think this applies to women too
Wayy too many wifes are out of shape, and i know for us women it can be harder to stay in shape as we have to deal with hormones, pregnancy, less muscle mass so less calories burned, busy with household work etc
but come on, I get it for older women , but modren day women!!
We should know better and Im pretty sure Most husbands wouldn’t mind doing some housework or caring for the kids for an hour tell you finish your workout . The results are worth it
Being in shape is not just aesthetics( which I think are still very important) but also it affects your self-esteem, motivation, how you view yourself, your energy, your happiness etc etc.
Everyone should work out as long as they are alive, it doesn’t take that much time, i mean, look at your screen time, I’m sure you can spare an hour for yourself😬

Speaking as someone who's been in shape for a decade and has helped a lot of brothers get fit, I don't understand why Muslim gym bros attack sheiks for having bellies?? Do you think you have even 1 percent of knowledge as them? Do you know what it takes to be a sheik in modern times? Reading book after book after book. Shaming them by giving the example of Sahaba is so stupid, the companions didn't even have food, and they had to go to battles, and make long journeys, how is it fair to compare that to the lifestyle of sheiks? Can't we at least give them a break?
What does the modern youth do to stay in shape? 2 hrs in the gym, then make high protein meals, weigh every single thing, watch fitness videos, and so on...Who the hell has that time?? certainly not the scholars. Ask them if they even spend 1/4th of the time reading the Quran. I am totally aware of the hadeeth emphasizing being healthy and strong, and we also know from science that just because someone is chubby doesn't mean they are unhealthy. Also just because someone is out of shape because he didn't bother to weigh his food, doesn't mean he's not strong.
My whole point is to leave the shaykhs alone, they are the only hope for this ummah
