Thank you very much, Federica. 🥰🤗😊😉💙🤍🖤👏👏👏👏👏
automatic stop always hit hard on me
if you like The Strokes you should check out Lonely Gimmick - All Along the Watchtower, it gives me Strokes vibes and it's a great take on a classic song
Nick Valensi was on FIREEEEEE
He always seems to be. He is one of the most accurate guitarists I have ever seen. Actually, this is one of the most accurate bands I have ever seen. They usually sound just like their studio recordings.
Totally ! and that solo at 14:36 is just.. wow.
@@drewscott9763 they sound technically great live
is that why julian soaked him on beer at 19:04? lol
as always
first heard them on 2004, wow, time flies so fast, love the old song, is this it, hard to explain, last nite, someday, reptilia, etc .... superbb
You must be very old now
Salam anak 90 an
haha
the strokes right after room on fire were the best strokes...
“is this it” is the best strokes album
@@znet9452 I see ‘Is This It’ and ‘Room On Fire’ as being the same album. They are both very similar tonally, structurally, and even in length. It’s almost as if it’s a double album in my opinion. I hold both of them up equally. They both have such great things on them. I’m a pretty big fan of ‘First Impressions’ too. It was a nice departure and has a few of my favorite Strokes songs on it but it also has a few weak spots as well. Something their first two do not have.
Quick question though: are you talking about the original release of ‘Is This It’ with New York City Cops and the salacious album cover?
Yes indeed. Saw them in concert in 2003 and it was amazing.
Best Alone Together performance ever imo
if you like The Strokes you should check out Lonely Gimmick - All Along the Watchtower, it gives me Strokes vibes and it's a great take on a classic song
@@elijahfinch3349 bruh shut up
You know this is 10 years old when... 4:37
couldnt agree more
It's funny because people are starting to reuse them in 2019
@Talorc MacAllan He's talking about the girl with the camera you genius.
19:03 :D
CostanzaKramer1 probs went to Kodak tae get them developed to.
The Strokes are the best American band since The Doors Jules reminds me so much of Jim Morrison
No!!
dude thats exactly how i feel , just except a little poetic quality thats missing ever since Jim Morrison
Love u put doors and the strokes un the dame sentence
doesnt matter that julian was drunk as hell that day, singing drunk is his style!
Jules has the best voice in modern Rock today....... Great!
Clampdown is now my favourite song by the strokes
It's a cover of a Clash song.
Albert's fingers and guitar strings during Reptilia and Last Nite !!!! I'm amazed, fireeeeeeeeeeeee
19:06 muahh
This band is so good live
if you like The Strokes you should check out Lonely Gimmick - All Along the Watchtower, it gives me Strokes vibes and it's a great take on a classic song
Ah I remember this night. I was at the front.
Is This It (in my opinion) makes a very good finisher to the setlist. I wish to see Is This It as the second to last song in a future live performance though, simply because of it's title. :D
No! Now they always begin by the first and the last title of their first album : Is this it and Take it or leave it. And this is very intelligent.
Man - Nick must've been taking guitar steroids or something!
When the rest of the band has to play progressively slower throughout the song, because Julian is too drunk to keep up...
That would be the drummer....no band goes off the vocals..
@@tzing2589 I think the drummer did it for Julian. Maybe to help him pace himself because he doesnt look too sober
@@takemeout5687 Julian was sober in 2004
@@tzing2589 nope
@@TT-nj1pc yes he was google it moron

This is for anyone who wants an extended versions of there songs haha. Great show!
So slow, so good!
I've been surprised to see them playing Clampdown. The song just started and I "Well, isn't it The Clash?"
9:17 jim morrison is that you?
I truly believe Casablancas is the Jim Morrison of this era. If Jim made music in this era, it would sound like The Strokes.
@@3rdeye931 casablancas repeatedly references the doors in his interviews and his vocal style is influenced (practically 100%) by Morrison
Clampdown, my God love them so much
Fantastic concert!
beautiful
im always here
Best performance by far
Ah man, I love Julian's "Homer Simpson" phase
Hey
That's what I call a great comment. Thanks dude.

Nick using reverb is so weird. It sounds good though!
Nikolai just viding the whole time
Geezy Fil Not stressing tho, he’s just vibing
The strokes were the US Oasis.......amazing tune and superb frontman.....captivating
Shame the BBC didn't use to record/release full gigs like they've done this year
i believe in nick valensi supremacy
It is his style. Like Slash's style is very much based around cigarettes. even though he doesnt smoke anymore.
2:43 Taken For A Fool concert part 1?
Nikolai’s royal tenembaums costume… love it 🥰
Cheers.. 19:03
15:20 Last Nite 😍 ❤

They were so stoned here hahahahahaha but specially Julian
18:48 shit i spent the whole time like, "no there's no way this is a strokes song, it sounds way too close to Clampdown" and then here you go

Why are most of the songs slowed down live?
Because Julian is usually rather drunk.

Someday was so slow 😂
Saw the Strokes so many times.
Glasgow Green 2001 - the day that changed my life. Amazing gig.
Edinburgh 2002 - can't remember if it was the Corn Exchange or Liquid Rooms.
Glasgow 2003 - Braehead Arena. Best gig ever. Just after Room on Fire.
T in the park 2004 - Julian completely drunk as you see above.
Glasgow Academy 2006 - not a great gig. Band seemed bored.
Glasgow Braehead Arena (2007?) - when the barrier at the front broke and show was delayed.
T in the park 2011 - crap show. Band not interested. Crowd felt it.
2002 corn exchange was the best
@@maintenancemaintenanceeasy7201 I got laid up on Calton hill right after that gig. Crazy night that was.
In 2001, they play before Travis right? Not any recording was found in UA-cam..
@@nadafro3116 some of the Glasgow green gig was shown on telly afterwards. Only about 2 songs - Hard to Explain and NYC Cops. I used to have it on an old video tape.
