At this point I don't even wanna play ranked. I just wish they would make a quick match option that worked like ranked for casual. That would solve my issues. I started playing ranked to search for matches quicker.
@KevinJusticeWarrior It's not that quick at all. I've made multiple types of lobbies, changed settings different times, everything and it still is 5-10 minutes to wait for someone to join in your lobby.
@MrShredGuy00 I'm on PC and don't have this problem whatsoever. It could be the glitch where if you have the connection requirements up, it's not letting people with any connection join. For me personally it's ranked that worked fine after the update but the next day I can't get into any matches
The way bandai handles how little information they give out for patches and mechanics in general is so annoying. It just puts the community in confusion

The game is simply not done, these hotfixes always reveal something else because these are bugs that should’ve been playtested and ironed out over the course of extra months being hastily patched in instead. honestly this game was a 2025 title that never got playtested or worked on past a barely acceptable condition because Namco wanted to release it alongside Daima for extra money and greed. I feel like dudes are still in denial because Toriyama is dead. Dragon Ball being exempt from criticism because people love it so much was always common but now it’s to the point where you’re “ungrateful” if you complain that you received a genuinely incomplete game.

Bro z burst dash was just as bad as high speed dragon dash. If you dedicate too much and punch you’ll get side stepped. Just high speed dragon dash and cancel it before u get to your opponent. Players have 0 creativity I swear.
I thought it was me and some skill issues im loosing and having close fights vs noobs spaming vanish attack lol. My brother specifically who doesn’t even own a game system but spams vanishing attacks makes me feel so trash lol.
Really? I have been in regular vanishing matches on my end but genuinely just now I had two matches where my opponent was disturbing me with how much he was getting hit this explains a LOT, was directly after I countered them and they vanished but I vanish back and they get hit.

Spitting facts yet again in this vid. All aggressive players have been nerfed. Even w the knowledge, there are a lot of times where I think I have enough ki to z dash, but I get stopped short like I tripped over a tree root. I'd rather lose to the meta than play like I'm a sniper tho. Keep it up 💪
It literally feels like the update made Dp battles singles lol it’s so strange now. I think they could easily make it so DP and singles are played differently. No reason why it needs to be the EXACT same rule set etc… they could make huge improvements still
Wanna know what's funny about the vanishing assault bug? One of the accessibility settings, either combo assist or follow-up assist weirdly enough, does it automatically for you if you have ki. I asked a player why he kept exploiting the bug and he said he wasn't doing anything and that the game has always done that since day 1. We figured out either one of those assists triggers it since he only had those on plus recovery assist but that doesn't trigger it. Pretty wild.
It would have to be combo assist if it's one of those considering we can combo with it mid rush now, follow ups would be Dragon Homing, Vanishing, or Lightning Attack
I still can't comprehend why they made super perception vs. revenge counter cost only 1 skill point. At least I can understand the logic behind most of the other changes, even if it was overkill(z-burst)...but revenge counter was already so situational!!! Who decided to make it even worse?
That change made revenge counter even worse because not only is it situational and cost 2 sp but i feel they slowed down the animation and now everyone is easily countering it with perception before people got caught off guard with some skilled players actually countering it but now since everyone can easily counter it. ITS EVEN MORE USELESS
When I first saw the cutscene of super perceptioning a revenge counter, I thought it was sick af so I get why the devs want us to see it more often. BUT I think they dropped the ball by making revenge counter VERY reactable and hard to use effectively. It would be hype imo if super perceptioning a revenge counter realistically only comes from a hard read.
Somehow i enjoyed the game more before this patch, every match ive played in z rank dp is just passive play and I cant do anything about it, while the win condition is so confusing. I feel like the game got even MORE broken its crazy.
I believe the current changes the devs implemented were a way to indirectly buff Speed and Ki Blast characters, both who were way worse in the last meta due to having inherent penalties to both attack and defense in comparison to all the other character archetypes, while having already poor base defense and attack to being with. The current zoning meta kind of makes up for these characters shortcomings in a way.
@@alwuhugaming I completely detest how extreme the devs were in regards to character balancing, specially when designing the character archetypes and the whole DP system of this game. It's way too rigid, in my opinion, specially if compared to the previous games in the series, and has the negative effect of pushing certain characters into way too rigid roles. Want to play Tapion or Dyspo? Gotta go zoning, because both will get completely murdered if you even try to go close range! Want to play a low DP in singles? Go screw itself, because Ultra Stupid Goku or SS4 Gogeta is going to, probably, completely destroy you on one or two combos if you screw up even if slightly. But the fan base will excuse all of this, because "muh lore accurate power scaling" and "the series was always like this", even though the second statement is a compete lie and the entire fun of these games is to use weaker characters that get mostly ignored in the series. But I better stop ranting and just hope, and cope, the devs will fix this entire mess somehow.

I just went on a huge losing streak & I felt like my combos were dropping like crazy & now I know why. People have been able to use vanishing assault against me mid combo.
I loved this game pre patch! I am 38-0 in ranked. B5. (Not high) my goal was to reach S1 without a loss. But the grind to get better is pointless right now. Im 412-38 in player match’s. I don’t like the new mechanics. I feel like I’m stuck in sand 24/7. Everyone is zoning. The game feels horrible. I loved grinding until I knew I could hit the next rank without losing. But now I’m losing love for the game. Only thing keeping it alive is your videos .
my gf is got me a gaming pc for christmas. i have been watching all these videos in preparation for the game, but since the patch its like its a different game. this game was gonna be my christmas present for myself but idk if im gonna buy it now

why engage and combo when its super easy to super counter that, its more effective to ensure damage with supers and ultimate blasts. I will be happy to throw hands when my opponent dont super counter my 2nd hit every time.
His roshi definitely came in with full health before using his super armor skill. But i did see that his health somehow did regen. I cant believe the patch didnt fix this.
Altough they may be confusing at first, the new win contitions based on remaining HP % are 100 times better than the old ones. It doens't feel like a coin toss to me, you just have to get used to the new method. That being said, other than bugs, I too don't like the passive gameplay we got.
still shit winning conditions, people use low DP high hp units , winning condition should be winning, no time out , remove the clock , make a draw so both sides lose points if none wins simple, everybody will either be forced to play and try to win or los epoints
High speed dragon dash needs to be improved. Maybe we need more cancels or another attack or something HP percentage makes sense because healing would be useless otherwise and you could loose after defeating most of the opponent's team What do you think about the sidestep speed? If feels a bit too fast to me since the update
The vanishing assault isnt a bug. The problem is "combos drop"/ aren't guaranteed. Plenty of times. I land the first punch of a rush chain, then the second punch is blocked If you can block, you can vanish assault. Its been like this since day one, i think you may be noticing it more because getting people's backs (defenseless) is harder now
I agree honestly. I wish we could have the old meta but just with the vanish war changes. This patch has honestly killed some of my drive to play. I wish that on top of fixing the bugs that they'd revert the healing to pre patch.
me too i actually miss the old patch, all they had to do is nerf the broken strong characters that people requested , the vanish wars, make z burst dash 1.5 bar of ki if u rlly wanted to nerf, don’t touch revenge counter at all, do the life of quality changes and boom that’s it plus these bugs that are occurring rn. it was so simple but they made some unnecessary changes that no one asked for and it’s annoying cuz honestly it’s ruining my enjoyment of the game. i like to play very agressive but they nerf my play style.
If you miss prepatch then you were getting carried by 5 man stalling, it’s way more fun now being able to use who you want without having to use 5 mans all the time just to stand a chance against stalleds

In regards to DP, i think you kinda missing the root of problem. As long as dp battles are consistently going to timeout. The game mode is fundamentally flawed. Gamifying the timeout shouldnt even be a thing. If majority of basketball/football games went to overtime. The problem wouldnt be the overtime win condition. The priority would be why majority of games go to OT.
People didn’t gamify the time up previously. It just so happened to be that way because the game was designed to be a long term game. Now people actually gamify it.
Oh, the ki blast loop works in sparking mode now only, it has always worked in sparking mode so the update simply rolled back whatever they did to those types of ki blasts in the last patch, not fix the loop lol.
Also if revenge counter is gonna be 2 make it possible to use it when some is attacking behind u,I mean u can use it in a any other scenario so why not there?
Hey I wonder if y’all have this issue. Specifically when it’s a player match, team battle. Me and my friend played with the reflect items on, and we had all the items to boost your health equipped. However, we noticed that on certain stages, the player that didn’t pick the stage would somehow result their characters not having the items equipped. I was wondering why some matches I would have the same exact character as my friend and same exact items equipped, and I would have like 5 bars of health but my friend is still at 3 bars of health at the beginning.
what sucks is, looking at steam charts, the game has more daily players since the last patch came out. day before, max was 3500, today was 4800 :/ doubt thats gonna be very motivating to bandai to update again
People probably playing to check out the new patch but idk if it’s indicative of people enjoying it. We’ll have to see if people stay after 1+ months of the new playstyle.
To get maximum Hand throwing time -- play on world tournament with crowd . Since they're boxed in unless someone misses a super they can't zone as hard.... on that note Revenge counters are useless except for a tiny bit of damage better to take the damage of a small combo and use wild sense or any other 2 skill point , shoot 1 single ki blast every time they charge and just slowly walk/ fly at them its the ONLY way ive gotten people to stop spamming charging up and actually fight....that or they keep doing it you keep getting innclose after denying sparking and get your combo off repeat for 300 seconds
Anybody else having issues with vanishing. One game I literally could not vanish anything. I well aware that the timing is different and I know how to vanish but it would not work at all. But the next game could do it just fine
The Old meta sucked, this new meta is way better and the game now is way better imo , and you can still engage but it's really now about controlling your ki not like it was before where ki control wasn't really a thing to take into consideration.
Ki management was very important before, and you can engage but that doesn’t mean the opponent can’t disengage. As you try to engage the opponent will gain Ki. Doing that against MUI Goku means you’ll lose every vanish war. And it’s not about whether or not you can engage but whether or not it’s worth engaging.
@alwuhugaming I agree it's more passive now , but it's also harder to to implement your play style, it takes skills now more than before which makes the game better imo because we really need to see some skillfull gameplays and players instead of just spamming, and I think now engagement now is better with high speed dragon dash and taking some steps and side steps or maybe some ki blast and than engage .
@alwuhugaming bro idk about your experience now, but the previous meta sucked that they couldn't even play fair qualifiers with all they giants spamming dashes and all the cheesy stuff that existed, now the game feels better where you can make your team in DP with so many characters, before it was about spamming z burst dash to engage but now it takes skills to engage if you wanna play aggressive, and also, yes there's some bugs now that can happen but it's never like it was before.
And I know you say “analyze, adapt, ascend” but some of the stuff I go up against feels beyond that. I would play hours a day, but today I just had to drop the controller after a few matches.
And it's always this damn empty blue map hyperbolic time chamber - whenever I see that the fight will take place on it, I already know the enemy will be flying away the whole match.
I saw some people commenting that they prefer the game before this update, and I keep wondering why. Before, there was almost no possibility for counterplay. People would just spam ki blasts, after images, unblockable ultimates, and on top of that, rage quit. I believe it's natural for the community to always complain. The game has been out for two months, and Tekken took a year to implement basic changes. The only thing that bothers me is the change to the Z Burst Dash; I agree with that. But the rest? I believe the complaints are unfounded. The game is infinitely better now.
Everything you mentioned that was an issue is an even larger issue now. Brolys unblockable ultimate is even more difficult to vanish now because you have to double vanish it. Spamming ki blasts is even stronger now because of the nerf to ZBD. Wild sense, afterimage, etc are all stronger because of the change to neutral game. Counter play before the patch was MUCH easier than it is now. There’s a reason why I barely lost to stuff like this before and now I do lose to it.
@@alwuhugaming I love your videos, but at this point, we'll have to agree to disagree. All unblockable ults and unblockable abilities, like Lightning Strike and Buutenks' rings, are much slower now. The only way you'd get caught by Beerus' ult, Broly's, etc., is if they somehow manage to knock you down. Otherwise, you can simply block the ki blasts and easily sidestep. You can even test this when you have time. The ki blasts are still very strong, but now you can avoid the 'spams' by deflecting them. There used to be a bug where if you started deflecting them, you couldn’t move anymore, and would get caught anyway... Also, all Sparking Mode spam has been nerfed due to the increased difficulty in earning skill points. Of course, the Z Burst Dash nerf brought an issue to the game, but it doesn't come close to the problems that existed before. Previously, you could grab an android, throw your opponent away, and get into a loop of Z dashing to their back, for example. With After Image, you can simply use perception and cancel the effect. The ki blast meta is indeed annoying, but it's not impossible to play around
@@alwuhugaming I believe the reason you're losing more is precisely because you built your playstyle around the Z Dash; you were able to hit the flanks very well. Somehow, they also made the supercounter easier. But in fact, the only thing that got worse was the Z Dash, all other mechanics have been nerfed. Please don't misunderstand, I'm not saying it's a skill issue; you are an excellent player. Maybe you're frustrated with the radical changes in the game and finding it difficult to adapt.

They can charge into sparking mode very easily now after draining all your ki after forcing a vanish war in sparking mode. Sparking mode is EVEN stronger now in this new patch and building 4 Skill points is even easier because of the passivity and refusal to engage. Refusing to engage means less of a chance of burning skill points from forced super perceptions. And no, if broly is close to you, he can throw the ultimate out at you without setting it up and it’s even more difficult to vanish now because like I said you have to double vanish it. Lightning strike attack and Buutenks ring wasn’t even an issue for me in the previous meta and was barely meta playstyle. And using afterimage and afterimage STRIKE interchangeably is confusing. Afterimage strike caught a nerf but characters other than Vegito with AIS were barely even an issue as once AIS wore off they were done for in 2 engagements.

I agree with you. The Stun ki is annoying I played against Frieza twin from the other universe and he kept getting me in the loop of stun and hit stun and hit. Another annoying thing I’m finding is when they small combo then heavy hit stun you and repeat :/

Online is still HORRIBLE. Poor netcode and latency. Combos are dropping. The vanishing or Z counter glitch where on the second string during the vanish war after a super counter is landed by either opponent will result in the input of the vanish not registering so you aren’t wrong. There is a glitch, it happens on any VS mode offline or online AND apparently there is a big split screen glitch as well because apparently P2 is locked out of any vanishes completely!. The meta now is corny due to the Z Burst Dashing being nerfed so its passive gameplay style. Corny man.
I finally got to Z rank in dp battles and I’m running the bojack spotlight team (beautiful team btw) and I haven’t noticed any problems with vanishing or people abusing vanishing assault and even the health glitch maybe people just don’t know yet and will probably start abusing it soon but for now it’s been pretty good man the high dp characters are definitely manageable if you play it right
The new meta for dp is great. Before, it was terrible. If you picked a high DP character and your opponent is running all lower dp characters, they’re more than likely going to win due to having more health bars. This meta is something similar to basketball. You have to have a damage dealer (star player) and then role players who are good at a specific skill. This meta is a lot more balanced, you just have to understand that meta isn’t negative and that you should also be doing this. Unless you’re confident you can deal more damage with lower dp characters.
@ You can view it that way, but that’s a more balanced layout for both high and low dp. Before, the layout heavily favored lower dp. Now high dp is useful and so is low dp.
@@napG1 it was balanced before. High DP characters are capable of sweeping whole teams if they get going. The only reason why low DP characters was able to keep up with high DP was through the health regen offered by switching… they kept up meaning it’s balanced. I’ve lost to people who used high DP characters to sweep teams in the previous meta. There’s a reason why it’s almost necessary to run a high DP character now because like I said it’s singles meta with cannon fodder. Previously you can make both team comps work. GBG won a whole tournament with a high DP character being Whis in the previous meta.

There’s always cheese to be exploited, but it’s the players who exploit it. I constantly run into players just throwing hands, so that means that the “meta” you’re talking about isn’t the game forcing players to do this. It’s the people who can’t stand a loss, who don’t know how to play the game aside from spamming, kids who just want to play for fun, and losers who refuse to learn other methods of play. Don’t blame the game and the developers for the disgusting play of these players. They don’t have any shame and couldn’t care less that we want to play a more fun and diverse game.
22:11 please help this is the position against MUI you need to analyze for me i dont know what to do and it feels like checkmate. His charged ki blast is powerful, unblockable (even breaks dragon dash), so fast you cant charge between hits, if you dash to dodge it ur spending ki whiles hes charging,. if you z burst dash ur going neg ki just to hit into wild sense + autododge so even if you punish WS ur just neutral and he can disengage. if you try instant sparking he has teleporting rush super so no matter how far you are he can punish. ive been thinking i need to run an Instant Transmission character because its the only skill I see helping in that scenario and it literally comes up every third DP match now since anyone good is running UI.
Got paired against my first Z ranker last night and he used UI Goku and zoned me/used tons of supers. I vanished most supers but the few he hit were enough to make me lose. I really enjoyed the game before the z dash nerf. Most of their "fixes" were terrible and made everyone scared to throw hands. Sad to see. I hope they change something else soon
It’s crazy they nerffed the passive health recovery on switch but inadvertently making it glitch at the last 60 seconds maybe the first DLC will drop with another big change 🤞🏽👀
Idk if it’s how the damage is supposed to be scaled or not but I swear I played a match where I got hit with a character switch smash attack by a giant (ape vegeta) and that one hit did an entire bar.
Not sure who you played but super spamming was alsys a thing.especially hercule and rishi users. Honestly, if you are even a moderately skilled vanisher, its the easiest thing to play against and punish. The main thing that sucks is power body rushers. They, literally, just keep pressing rush, mixing in s few smashes, and it teacks them to you. Since rushes dont have a cooldown frane, like all counters do, u get penalized for countering or making them whiff. I still win but its annoying. I agree with the stalling/ not engaging. Especially since i only ever lose by time outs. What ive started doing, which sucks, is if they lead with a heavy hitter, i switch to my number two( ssj gohan 2) and sit to get a super. ( Anyone that takes two bars eith their ult.) Most ppl that play that eay cant handle pressure so just rush them and land ult when they try a cheap counter. Works everytime. If they lose their main character or get hit with an ult they quit or get handled very easily. The vanish bug happens a lot with character ls that seing laterally ive noticed. ( Recoome, spopvich,,etc ) That and i swear ppl lag switch.lol.
Even with the nerfed bench healing all matches end up going to a time out. They really need to at least give us the 600 seconds as well as a conceding option
The vanishing assault is a thing with the training mode in melee mode with super. The amount the bot does it is not even comparable to what I have encountered post patch online with real players. Not sure if it’s a glitch or intended. But I do see your point it’s annoying
MUI is the only character that really gives me a issue with zoning, it’s like he bypassed the patch and said mine are still going to be elite but every other character I haven’t really had no issue in pressing my opponent when I want to
I was wondering why I encountered a 5 player team full of absolutely no attacking, and just ki blast zoning into perception knock backs when I got close. I didn't know how to beat it, so I rematched them the max amount of times and got a little better at fighting it, which was more important than rank points to me long term. Very hard to approach especially when offense was already difficult in this game (to me)
0:42 i know hit boxes and hurt boxes are iffy in most fight games but you sweeped guldo for the world too see......and fuck all happened hell i uninstalled after my opponent who was playing bardock used his explosive wave...and it didnt go into sparking mode...it didnt...wtf. even i felt bad 4 him
I am pretty sure I know how that health glitch works. Ive found out that if you do instant super right after you switch (masenko for example) you lose no ki. Doing that animation at the last 60 seconds instantly after switch probably triggers something similar And it sucks ass that you lose no ki if you do instant super that way. It is a very good mechanic especially now that you spawn above and might catch them doing a move they cant get out of. But it feels a bit like abusing but neither do I want to wait a moment so that the enemy might react faster. I just try not to be too abusive about me havin those two ki bars even after using a 0 ki super
bt3 also had a very simple solution for vanishes. You just had to hold the block button to increase the vanish timing window. It did not have to be a precise single press.

Idc what anyone says, singles are way better than this shit. Seeing how people play on dp ever since the game is out made me grow sick of it after a day since the release. First it was afterimage teams, then it was 5 man teams, then it was androids, then it was supers spams, then it was everything combined, this is just ridiculous. I tried to give this mode a chance after the patch and I got a reminder on why this mode is horrible, or rather why the player base is so bad. I've never been hit with so many hard knockdowns, supers, zonning, etc. ultimately it doesn't matter how much they patch this game, the people playing this game have the most responsibility for ruining it. And I didn't want to admit it up until post patch. This patch was supposed to save the game but it's too bad there are people like that trash Z rank in the video that depends on exploits, bugs, boring gameplay because the thought of him losing points scares him more than dying irl. Back to what I started with, singles are better than this by far. And I'm not saying singles are perfect, obviously they're not but the amount of cheese you encounter is way less than in dp, and even if you do encounter it, you don't have to endure it for 6 painful minutes like in dp, you can have a quick paced match and if you don't care much about your rank and force yourself to reach top 5 on Z rank, you can have tons of fun in S rank or even A rank if you're actually good at the game. I had a lot of matches on S1 (Using ssb goku) with people that actually try to box and when they play like that, this game is the funnest game ever. Sadly it's the people that often have to smurf or just don't care about their rank much but it doesn't matter to me because I see more of these kinds on singles than on dp. But that's just my opinion, ranked dp was and will always be the biggest flop of this game because this is what I waited for the most and in reality it's the mode I hate the most.

my least favorite part about the game is that i cannot tell if something is a bug/glitch or if i did something wrong, because some of the glitches or bugs dont seem to affect everyone so i gaslight myself into thinking it was my mistakes etc

now the hype has completely died down, hopping on feels like a chore. A party fighting game with ranked just plays unfair with all this unpunishable tactics, I rather learn an actual fighting game. Tekken might be on the horizon.
Since the latest updates the most broken thing for me is I can’t even play. The inputs are so delayed I can never do anything in time. Block, attack, step, counter. Anything. Sometimes it does actions of buttons I didn’t press. Half my matches I’m a sandbag. Talk about frustrating. And frankly half my opponents are sandbags so I imagine they are experiencing the same thing. I would say 1 in 10 matches actually feels like a fluid exchange where I’m fighting my opponent and not the game. And I know that is the case because I have played the game a lot offline and it feels great.
The only people complaining about the new updates is trash if your a good player, you adapt easy. It was broken before you trippin the sparking and spamming was crazy
They should make it so if you pick a high DP character your wife leaves you

@MrShredGuy00 I'm on PC and don't have this problem whatsoever. It could be the glitch where if you have the connection requirements up, it's not letting people with any connection join. For me personally it's ranked that worked fine after the update but the next day I can't get into any matches

honestly this game was a 2025 title that never got playtested or worked on past a barely acceptable condition because Namco wanted to release it alongside Daima for extra money and greed.
I feel like dudes are still in denial because Toriyama is dead. Dragon Ball being exempt from criticism because people love it so much was always common but now it’s to the point where you’re “ungrateful” if you complain that you received a genuinely incomplete game.

Really? I have been in regular vanishing matches on my end but genuinely just now I had two matches where my opponent was disturbing me with how much he was getting hit this explains a LOT, was directly after I countered them and they vanished but I vanish back and they get hit.

Spitting facts yet again in this vid. All aggressive players have been nerfed. Even w the knowledge, there are a lot of times where I think I have enough ki to z dash, but I get stopped short like I tripped over a tree root. I'd rather lose to the meta than play like I'm a sniper tho. Keep it up 💪

Wanna know what's funny about the vanishing assault bug? One of the accessibility settings, either combo assist or follow-up assist weirdly enough, does it automatically for you if you have ki.
I asked a player why he kept exploiting the bug and he said he wasn't doing anything and that the game has always done that since day 1. We figured out either one of those assists triggers it since he only had those on plus recovery assist but that doesn't trigger it. Pretty wild.
There are literally people that are playing with assist on, and they don't even know it 😭
It would have to be combo assist if it's one of those considering we can combo with it mid rush now,
follow ups would be Dragon Homing, Vanishing, or Lightning Attack

I think reverting the Z burst dash nerf would solve a lot of the zoning problems we’re facing now.
I still can't comprehend why they made super perception vs. revenge counter cost only 1 skill point. At least I can understand the logic behind most of the other changes, even if it was overkill(z-burst)...but revenge counter was already so situational!!! Who decided to make it even worse?
That change made revenge counter even worse because not only is it situational and cost 2 sp but i feel they slowed down the animation and now everyone is easily countering it with perception before people got caught off guard with some skilled players actually countering it but now since everyone can easily counter it. ITS EVEN MORE USELESS
I don't have a problem with that change, my problem is with revenge counter costing 2 skill points
When I first saw the cutscene of super perceptioning a revenge counter, I thought it was sick af so I get why the devs want us to see it more often. BUT I think they dropped the ball by making revenge counter VERY reactable and hard to use effectively. It would be hype imo if super perceptioning a revenge counter realistically only comes from a hard read.

I believe the current changes the devs implemented were a way to indirectly buff Speed and Ki Blast characters, both who were way worse in the last meta due to having inherent penalties to both attack and defense in comparison to all the other character archetypes, while having already poor base defense and attack to being with.
The current zoning meta kind of makes up for these characters shortcomings in a way.

@@alwuhugaming I completely detest how extreme the devs were in regards to character balancing, specially when designing the character archetypes and the whole DP system of this game.
It's way too rigid, in my opinion, specially if compared to the previous games in the series, and has the negative effect of pushing certain characters into way too rigid roles.
Want to play Tapion or Dyspo? Gotta go zoning, because both will get completely murdered if you even try to go close range!
Want to play a low DP in singles? Go screw itself, because Ultra Stupid Goku or SS4 Gogeta is going to, probably, completely destroy you on one or two combos if you screw up even if slightly.
But the fan base will excuse all of this, because "muh lore accurate power scaling" and "the series was always like this", even though the second statement is a compete lie and the entire fun of these games is to use weaker characters that get mostly ignored in the series.
But I better stop ranting and just hope, and cope, the devs will fix this entire mess somehow.

I just went on a huge losing streak & I felt like my combos were dropping like crazy & now I know why. People have been able to use vanishing assault against me mid combo.
I loved this game pre patch! I am 38-0 in ranked. B5. (Not high) my goal was to reach S1 without a loss. But the grind to get better is pointless right now. Im 412-38 in player match’s. I don’t like the new mechanics. I feel like I’m stuck in sand 24/7. Everyone is zoning. The game feels horrible. I loved grinding until I knew I could hit the next rank without losing. But now I’m losing love for the game. Only thing keeping it alive is your videos .

why engage and combo when its super easy to super counter that, its more effective to ensure damage with supers and ultimate blasts. I will be happy to throw hands when my opponent dont super counter my 2nd hit every time.

Altough they may be confusing at first, the new win contitions based on remaining HP % are 100 times better than the old ones. It doens't feel like a coin toss to me, you just have to get used to the new method.
That being said, other than bugs, I too don't like the passive gameplay we got.
still shit winning conditions, people use low DP high hp units , winning condition should be winning, no time out , remove the clock , make a draw so both sides lose points if none wins simple, everybody will either be forced to play and try to win or los epoints
High speed dragon dash needs to be improved. Maybe we need more cancels or another attack or something
HP percentage makes sense because healing would be useless otherwise and you could loose after defeating most of the opponent's team

The vanishing assault isnt a bug. The problem is "combos drop"/ aren't guaranteed.
Plenty of times. I land the first punch of a rush chain, then the second punch is blocked

It’s an exploit. Your combos shouldn’t drop just cuz someone activated vanishing assault and that person should be punished for it.
I agree honestly. I wish we could have the old meta but just with the vanish war changes. This patch has honestly killed some of my drive to play. I wish that on top of fixing the bugs that they'd revert the healing to pre patch.

me too i actually miss the old patch, all they had to do is nerf the broken strong characters that people requested , the vanish wars, make z burst dash 1.5 bar of ki if u rlly wanted to nerf, don’t touch revenge counter at all, do the life of quality changes and boom that’s it plus these bugs that are occurring rn. it was so simple but they made some unnecessary changes that no one asked for and it’s annoying cuz honestly it’s ruining my enjoyment of the game. i like to play very agressive but they nerf my play style.

In regards to DP, i think you kinda missing the root of problem.
As long as dp battles are consistently going to timeout. The game mode is fundamentally flawed.
Gamifying the timeout shouldnt even be a thing.
If majority of basketball/football games went to overtime. The problem wouldnt be the overtime win condition. The priority would be why majority of games go to OT.
People didn’t gamify the time up previously. It just so happened to be that way because the game was designed to be a long term game. Now people actually gamify it.
So that's why people are spamming Vanishing Assault. Still beat them tho, just very annoying.
Oh, the ki blast loop works in sparking mode now only, it has always worked in sparking mode so the update simply rolled back whatever they did to those types of ki blasts in the last patch, not fix the loop lol.

Hey I wonder if y’all have this issue. Specifically when it’s a player match, team battle. Me and my friend played with the reflect items on, and we had all the items to boost your health equipped. However, we noticed that on certain stages, the player that didn’t pick the stage would somehow result their characters not having the items equipped. I was wondering why some matches I would have the same exact character as my friend and same exact items equipped, and I would have like 5 bars of health but my friend is still at 3 bars of health at the beginning.
He was unaware of the glitch. We found out what procs it, but gonna gatekeep that so people don’t abuse it.

To get maximum Hand throwing time -- play on world tournament with crowd . Since they're boxed in unless someone misses a super they can't zone as hard.... on that note Revenge counters are useless except for a tiny bit of damage better to take the damage of a small combo and use wild sense or any other 2 skill point , shoot 1 single ki blast every time they charge and just slowly walk/ fly at them its the ONLY way ive gotten people to stop spamming charging up and actually fight....that or they keep doing it you keep getting innclose after denying sparking and get your combo off repeat for 300 seconds

The Old meta sucked, this new meta is way better and the game now is way better imo , and you can still engage but it's really now about controlling your ki not like it was before where ki control wasn't really a thing to take into consideration.
Ki management was very important before, and you can engage but that doesn’t mean the opponent can’t disengage. As you try to engage the opponent will gain Ki. Doing that against MUI Goku means you’ll lose every vanish war. And it’s not about whether or not you can engage but whether or not it’s worth engaging.
@alwuhugaming I agree it's more passive now , but it's also harder to to implement your play style, it takes skills now more than before which makes the game better imo because we really need to see some skillfull gameplays and players instead of just spamming, and I think now engagement now is better with high speed dragon dash and taking some steps and side steps or maybe some ki blast and than engage .

And I know you say “analyze, adapt, ascend” but some of the stuff I go up against feels beyond that. I would play hours a day, but today I just had to drop the controller after a few matches.
And it's always this damn empty blue map hyperbolic time chamber - whenever I see that the fight will take place on it, I already know the enemy will be flying away the whole match.
I saw some people commenting that they prefer the game before this update, and I keep wondering why. Before, there was almost no possibility for counterplay. People would just spam ki blasts, after images, unblockable ultimates, and on top of that, rage quit. I believe it's natural for the community to always complain. The game has been out for two months, and Tekken took a year to implement basic changes.
The only thing that bothers me is the change to the Z Burst Dash; I agree with that. But the rest? I believe the complaints are unfounded. The game is infinitely better now.
Everything you mentioned that was an issue is an even larger issue now. Brolys unblockable ultimate is even more difficult to vanish now because you have to double vanish it. Spamming ki blasts is even stronger now because of the nerf to ZBD. Wild sense, afterimage, etc are all stronger because of the change to neutral game. Counter play before the patch was MUCH easier than it is now. There’s a reason why I barely lost to stuff like this before and now I do lose to it.
@@alwuhugaming I love your videos, but at this point, we'll have to agree to disagree. All unblockable ults and unblockable abilities, like Lightning Strike and Buutenks' rings, are much slower now. The only way you'd get caught by Beerus' ult, Broly's, etc., is if they somehow manage to knock you down. Otherwise, you can simply block the ki blasts and easily sidestep. You can even test this when you have time. The ki blasts are still very strong, but now you can avoid the 'spams' by deflecting them. There used to be a bug where if you started deflecting them, you couldn’t move anymore, and would get caught anyway... Also, all Sparking Mode spam has been nerfed due to the increased difficulty in earning skill points. Of course, the Z Burst Dash nerf brought an issue to the game, but it doesn't come close to the problems that existed before. Previously, you could grab an android, throw your opponent away, and get into a loop of Z dashing to their back, for example. With After Image, you can simply use perception and cancel the effect. The ki blast meta is indeed annoying, but it's not impossible to play around
@@alwuhugaming I believe the reason you're losing more is precisely because you built your playstyle around the Z Dash; you were able to hit the flanks very well. Somehow, they also made the supercounter easier. But in fact, the only thing that got worse was the Z Dash, all other mechanics have been nerfed. Please don't misunderstand, I'm not saying it's a skill issue; you are an excellent player. Maybe you're frustrated with the radical changes in the game and finding it difficult to adapt.
@@LeandroMonteiro-is1dc just because there was a nerf to sparking mode doesn’t mean in practice that’s the case. They can charge into sparking mode very easily now after draining all your ki after forcing a vanish war in sparking mode. Sparking mode is EVEN stronger now in this new patch and building 4 Skill points is even easier because of the passivity and refusal to engage. Refusing to engage means less of a chance of burning skill points from forced super perceptions. And no, if broly is close to you, he can throw the ultimate out at you without setting it up and it’s even more difficult to vanish now because like I said you have to double vanish it. Lightning strike attack and Buutenks ring wasn’t even an issue for me in the previous meta and was barely meta playstyle. And using afterimage and afterimage STRIKE interchangeably is confusing. Afterimage strike caught a nerf but characters other than Vegito with AIS were barely even an issue as once AIS wore off they were done for in 2 engagements.

I agree with you. The Stun ki is annoying I played against Frieza twin from the other universe and he kept getting me in the loop of stun and hit stun and hit. Another annoying thing I’m finding is when they small combo then heavy hit stun you and repeat :/

Online is still HORRIBLE. Poor netcode and latency. Combos are dropping. The vanishing or Z counter glitch where on the second string during the vanish war after a super counter is landed by either opponent will result in the input of the vanish not registering so you aren’t wrong. There is a glitch, it happens on any VS mode offline or online AND apparently there is a big split screen glitch as well because apparently P2 is locked out of any vanishes completely!. The meta now is corny due to the Z Burst Dashing being nerfed so its passive gameplay style. Corny man.
In this new meta i have an unbeatable 3 man team now. Jiren, Ginyu, Recoome. Shit go crazy now

I finally got to Z rank in dp battles and I’m running the bojack spotlight team (beautiful team btw) and I haven’t noticed any problems with vanishing or people abusing vanishing assault and even the health glitch maybe people just don’t know yet and will probably start abusing it soon but for now it’s been pretty good man the high dp characters are definitely manageable if you play it right
The game is so broken it was actually in a better state on early access lol

The new meta for dp is great. Before, it was terrible. If you picked a high DP character and your opponent is running all lower dp characters, they’re more than likely going to win due to having more health bars. This meta is something similar to basketball. You have to have a damage dealer (star player) and then role players who are good at a specific skill. This meta is a lot more balanced, you just have to understand that meta isn’t negative and that you should also be doing this. Unless you’re confident you can deal more damage with lower dp characters.

@ You can view it that way, but that’s a more balanced layout for both high and low dp. Before, the layout heavily favored lower dp. Now high dp is useful and so is low dp.
@@napG1 it was balanced before. High DP characters are capable of sweeping whole teams if they get going. The only reason why low DP characters was able to keep up with high DP was through the health regen offered by switching… they kept up meaning it’s balanced. I’ve lost to people who used high DP characters to sweep teams in the previous meta. There’s a reason why it’s almost necessary to run a high DP character now because like I said it’s singles meta with cannon fodder. Previously you can make both team comps work. GBG won a whole tournament with a high DP character being Whis in the previous meta.
The new meta is just people stalling and spamming charged ki blasts and supers. I had a lot more fun brawling constantly
@@ApplSaucFactory This isn’t a game problem, it’s a player problem. I don’t run into many players playing this way. It’s like cheese. There’s always cheese to be exploited, but it’s the players who exploit it. I constantly run into players just throwing hands, so that means that the “meta” you’re talking about isn’t the game forcing players to do this. It’s the people who can’t stand a loss, who don’t know how to play the game aside from spamming, kids who just want to play for fun, and losers who refuse to learn other methods of play. Don’t blame the game and the developers for the disgusting play of these players. They don’t have any shame and couldn’t care less that we want to play a more fun and diverse game.
Yeah, i don't get this new patch. I've downed characters and still lost😂the win condition is definitely vague and too inconsistent
22:11 please help this is the position against MUI you need to analyze for me i dont know what to do and it feels like checkmate. His charged ki blast is powerful, unblockable (even breaks dragon dash), so fast you cant charge between hits, if you dash to dodge it ur spending ki whiles hes charging,. if you z burst dash ur going neg ki just to hit into wild sense + autododge so even if you punish WS ur just neutral and he can disengage. if you try instant sparking he has teleporting rush super so no matter how far you are he can punish.
ive been thinking i need to run an Instant Transmission character because its the only skill I see helping in that scenario and it literally comes up every third DP match now since anyone good is running UI.
Got paired against my first Z ranker last night and he used UI Goku and zoned me/used tons of supers. I vanished most supers but the few he hit were enough to make me lose. I really enjoyed the game before the z dash nerf. Most of their "fixes" were terrible and made everyone scared to throw hands. Sad to see. I hope they change something else soon
It’s crazy they nerffed the passive health recovery on switch but inadvertently making it glitch at the last 60 seconds maybe the first DLC will drop with another big change 🤞🏽👀
Idk if it’s how the damage is supposed to be scaled or not but I swear I played a match where I got hit with a character switch smash attack by a giant (ape vegeta) and that one hit did an entire bar.
Not sure who you played but super spamming was alsys a thing.especially hercule and rishi users.
Honestly, if you are even a moderately skilled vanisher, its the easiest thing to play against and punish.
The main thing that sucks is power body rushers. They, literally, just keep pressing rush, mixing in s few smashes, and it teacks them to you. Since rushes dont have a cooldown frane, like all counters do, u get penalized for countering or making them whiff. I still win but its annoying.
I agree with the stalling/ not engaging. Especially since i only ever lose by time outs. What ive started doing, which sucks, is if they lead with a heavy hitter, i switch to my number two( ssj gohan 2) and sit to get a super. ( Anyone that takes two bars eith their ult.) Most ppl that play that eay cant handle pressure so just rush them and land ult when they try a cheap counter. Works everytime. If they lose their main character or get hit with an ult they quit or get handled very easily.
The vanish bug happens a lot with character ls that seing laterally ive noticed. ( Recoome, spopvich,,etc ) That and i swear ppl lag switch.lol.
Didn’t say super spamming wasn’t a thing. I said it wasn’t as effective and it shouldn’t be extremely effective but now it is.
Even with the nerfed bench healing all matches end up going to a time out. They really need to at least give us the 600 seconds as well as a conceding option
The vanishing assault is a thing with the training mode in melee mode with super. The amount the bot does it is not even comparable to what I have encountered post patch online with real players. Not sure if it’s a glitch or intended. But I do see your point it’s annoying
It's intended, community was just use to get z-bursting and bypassing all the defensive mechanics in the game
I hate to say it but I can’t play this anymore until it’s fixed. Not being able to vanish is frustrating.

MUI is the only character that really gives me a issue with zoning, it’s like he bypassed the patch and said mine are still going to be elite but every other character I haven’t really had no issue in pressing my opponent when I want to
I was wondering why I encountered a 5 player team full of absolutely no attacking, and just ki blast zoning into perception knock backs when I got close. I didn't know how to beat it, so I rematched them the max amount of times and got a little better at fighting it, which was more important than rank points to me long term. Very hard to approach especially when offense was already difficult in this game (to me)
0:42 i know hit boxes and hurt boxes are iffy in most fight games but you sweeped guldo for the world too see......and fuck all happened hell i uninstalled after my opponent who was playing bardock used his explosive wave...and it didnt go into sparking mode...it didnt...wtf. even i felt bad 4 him
I am pretty sure I know how that health glitch works. Ive found out that if you do instant super right after you switch (masenko for example) you lose no ki. Doing that animation at the last 60 seconds instantly after switch probably triggers something similar
And it sucks ass that you lose no ki if you do instant super that way. It is a very good mechanic especially now that you spawn above and might catch them doing a move they cant get out of. But it feels a bit like abusing but neither do I want to wait a moment so that the enemy might react faster. I just try not to be too abusive about me havin those two ki bars even after using a 0 ki super

bt3 also had a very simple solution for vanishes. You just had to hold the block button to increase the vanish timing window. It did not have to be a precise single press.

Idc what anyone says, singles are way better than this shit. Seeing how people play on dp ever since the game is out made me grow sick of it after a day since the release. First it was afterimage teams, then it was 5 man teams, then it was androids, then it was supers spams, then it was everything combined, this is just ridiculous. I tried to give this mode a chance after the patch and I got a reminder on why this mode is horrible, or rather why the player base is so bad. I've never been hit with so many hard knockdowns, supers, zonning, etc. ultimately it doesn't matter how much they patch this game, the people playing this game have the most responsibility for ruining it. And I didn't want to admit it up until post patch. This patch was supposed to save the game but it's too bad there are people like that trash Z rank in the video that depends on exploits, bugs, boring gameplay because the thought of him losing points scares him more than dying irl. Back to what I started with, singles are better than this by far. And I'm not saying singles are perfect, obviously they're not but the amount of cheese you encounter is way less than in dp, and even if you do encounter it, you don't have to endure it for 6 painful minutes like in dp, you can have a quick paced match and if you don't care much about your rank and force yourself to reach top 5 on Z rank, you can have tons of fun in S rank or even A rank if you're actually good at the game. I had a lot of matches on S1 (Using ssb goku) with people that actually try to box and when they play like that, this game is the funnest game ever. Sadly it's the people that often have to smurf or just don't care about their rank much but it doesn't matter to me because I see more of these kinds on singles than on dp. But that's just my opinion, ranked dp was and will always be the biggest flop of this game because this is what I waited for the most and in reality it's the mode I hate the most.

And now that im not so Noob anymore and Around S3. They do the Ki Blast Spam on this Level. EDIT And the Vanish thing aswell? Ngl kinda done now
my least favorite part about the game is that i cannot tell if something is a bug/glitch or if i did something wrong, because some of the glitches or bugs dont seem to affect everyone so i gaslight myself into thinking it was my mistakes etc
also idk if this works at the high level that you play at but i could engage at mid range by using perfect smashes alot

The passive play is fine but knowingly abusing a bug just for a win is just trashy.

now the hype has completely died down, hopping on feels like a chore. A party fighting game with ranked just plays unfair with all this unpunishable tactics, I rather learn an actual fighting game. Tekken might be on the horizon.

Since the latest updates the most broken thing for me is I can’t even play. The inputs are so delayed I can never do anything in time. Block, attack, step, counter. Anything. Sometimes it does actions of buttons I didn’t press. Half my matches I’m a sandbag. Talk about frustrating. And frankly half my opponents are sandbags so I imagine they are experiencing the same thing. I would say 1 in 10 matches actually feels like a fluid exchange where I’m fighting my opponent and not the game. And I know that is the case because I have played the game a lot offline and it feels great.
Damn so thats why this guy kept vanishing assaulting out of my combos i just thought i was ass😭
The only people complaining about the new updates is trash if your a good player, you adapt easy. It was broken before you trippin the sparking and spamming was crazy
