I can't thank Mr. Tongi enough. When I first heard him sing this, my daughter, who was only 43, was dying with aggressive Metastatic Cancer. Each morning, she woke up with more tumors and the doctors would scramble to find the right pain combo to control the pain. in the mean time, she was writhing and screaming in pain. I felt her pain and the hopelessness, but I couldn't think of the words.. The moment she was awake & out of pain, I played this for her.. she whispered, "I love you with all my heart, Mom." she fell asleep and passed peacefully. since then I passed this to friends & family who were struggling, also.

Iam tongi ...what can I say ...I watched him singing monsters four times ...and each time I cried my eyes out !. What a voice , I am 56 years old and when my dad dies I will play this song at his funeral.

This is one of the most moving songs I've ever heard also, I've listened to it at least 4 times and cannot help but weep.
My dad passed away in 2016 and is in heaven today. This song has brought back so many memories, of how much I loved my dad in our later years, of how much more I should have shown it, and the shame of all the grief I brought him when I was younger. Having a son in later in life who now may be leaving for college next year (still hasn't decided which college hopefully he'll be staying local); though this song doesn't quite apply to that, it still it's not going to be to long before I will have to watch him driver away; I can hardly stand it. I love him so much I tell him often, if he needed heart transplant, I would gladly give him mine and I mean it.

That first one really messed me up. It hurts me cuz my sperm donor never wanted me and left when I was 1 because of it. It really gets me seeing what impact a real man can have on the child he raises and it's such a beautiful thing. I just hope one day I can raise I kid that looks ate that way.
Hands down, Iam Tongi stole the entire show with that song to his father.

I could not stop the tears as Iam played that song dedicated to his late father!
It’s one thing to feel sorry for him but another thing entirely for him to make you feel his grief and cry with him. Even 3 months later I’m still tearing up at his audition.
This young man is still in deep mourning, yet fought through to victory! Congrats youngman! Your life awaits you!

Lionel is such a kind hearted, loving man. You can see it and hear it in the things he says to people.
Crying right now...Mr. Tongi your voice is incredible...that song is spot on...lost my dad in 2012 and it still feels like it was yesterday...the pain of losing a role model will never go away..that song is just so deep!!!

Wow....I stayed from American Idol for a few years but this captured my heart to iits core. I cried so many times throughout these auditions. The talent is through the roof. I can't pinpoint a favorite. There is soo much authentic talent. BRAVO

My husband died when our sons we 15 and 13, my oldest son Steven carried his aches to his resting place. Now Steven has terminal cancer, he has months to live, my grandkids his children are 13 and 16 these are Steven's children, so this song that Iam Tongi sang ,tore my heart out. That is the best thank you could give all the people that need a good cry.

Truth is that there were so many awesome talented people on Idol this year. It was heartbreaking to watch them being eliminated each week. Almost any one of them could be on the radio immediately afterwards. The final 8 deserved recording contracts. Iam Tongi won the contest and America’s hearts. I will remember them all forever. The judges are humble, kind and caring. Can’t help but love them all.

James Blunt has just seen a massive rise in downloads after Iam’s audition. Suddenly his music video is everywhere, everyone is downloading although it didn’t really make a mark in 2019 when it was released. I hope he sees and recognises what Iam did for his music sales. He’s known as a good guy, so I’m sure it won’t be long until we see some James Blunt SM posts acknowledging Iam.

Of course it did. I'm 76, have 3 Sons and 2 Daughters. I oft times wonder what they will be remembering when my time on Earth is done. I will miss them and my Grandsons and Granddaughters but when it's time to go,, it's time. All we can think about is how positively we've affected each of their wonderful lives.
