What would you do if the part under the car where that white piece clips on is broken like the screw where the old air bag was that your talking about at( 3:53 )
If I do remember correctly that car has a front pump? And also a rear pump separately. I believe the leveling sensors should pick up the slack and correct the front unless there's a problem with a pump or bags on your front.. For granted you will have a suspension light on if there's a problem with the back.. But sometimes you can correct the lighting for the sensors just by adding something called a diode.. It simply tricks the computer into thinking that it is correct and it goes in line of the wiring
To be honest, you could do anything you wanted with any spring and coil. And air suspension anymore. They make just about anything. You could imagine Google it. I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for I've been converting a whole bunch of vehicles back-and-forth. And they make better air systems than what is featured on that car. In the video as well
Do you know from wich model are this springs? I changing now my eklass airsprings to „real” springs, but i dont now wich ones springs i need… maybe from w211 saloon? Or w210 estate?
I would definitely pull up your model and put in the words conversion kit suspension. That should definitely give you the right ones I'm not an expert on cross-references But there should be some kind of chart chart or common part number or a lot of these
I wish I knew the answer. I don't wanna give you false information on that. One should be similar but if it's not. I don't want to mislead you in the same sentence
Keef, Thanks a lot,,, im doing mine this weekend and youre right aint squat to reference. What do I do or did you do with electrical part and air line when taken out of bag
MrHummingbirdbassist I just clipped the airline or actually undid it I believe it was a 10 mm wrench and took the fuse out for the air compressor to the suspension the rears are kind of hard the front is really really easy but the back you'll probably need some weight on the peace because the back ones are a pain in the butt
keef beef I still want to use my compressor for the fronts, I see each air line is color coded from the block, im thinking I will find the color when I take each bag off, then go to air valve block up front and unscrew the matching end and put a closed end nut and seal the rear lines holes off. Hopefully it willwork. Anf thanks again for video help
keef beef that what I done, looked at front block, moved rear seat on passenger side, saw lines then just followed to rear wheels. Unscrewed, unplugged and left em hanging at rear wheel, plugs up front, all good
MrHummingbirdbassist I just undid the fuse to the air pump in the one that I did and the electrical is just a plug that you can leave on done but the back is a lot harder to do than the front just make sure you got a good Jack and your car is set up nice and solid be careful that things got a lot of tension on it
did you put shocks back on the rear after the conversion if so which ones did you use..i put suncore coil springs on rear but factory shocks would not go back on..does your car bounce a little now without shocks?
Hay buddy quick question is it necessary to remove the front air suspension or can I just leave it and have no issues and just replace the rear coils because the rear is my issue
If I remember correctly there is 2 pumps for air one goes to the front 1 goes to the rear just to get the diode bypass to correct the the rear from making a code on your dash
@@herpabetic the rear bags started leaking so I just went online and getting ready to order new springs I saw them on eBay I guess you take the old bags out and do pretty much what you did in the video but my question was do I need to take the original strut out also because online it just shows the springs but other videos I saw guys replacing the springs and struts but I’m guessing spring conversion for the rear should be fine I guess but I wanted to double check
Hey I’m doing this conversion and need some tips. Did you remove the whole control arm or did you just remove the triple square bolt and swivel it down? If you removed the whole control arm how did you compress the spring enough so the holes line up while putting the control arm back? If possible could you give me a step by step process. I need assistance and can’t find references anywhere, pls help!

I have 2004 E500 Mercedes-Benz 4matic I was having problems with the front air strut and brought a conversion kit I watched several videos including yours and I have not I seen anyone disconnect or connect the axle the reason why I'm saying this is because my mechanic says my conversion kit does not fit the company says it's compatible with my vehicle my mechanic said that he cannot put a bolt or the Nugget is not fitting through the axle hole isn't that he does not know what he's doing or doing something wrong kit number 31-112700 or do I have the wrong kid any information to help me will be great
Strategic Computer Systems I did the front suspension already and it's working great I should have took a video out of it the front suspension was way way easier to put in it basically bolted right in 4 volts and unplugged two plugs no time at all for the front the rear end was pretty harsh with the pressure on the suspension with the car being on a lift of spooked me a little but it went okay
Strategic Computer Systems it's sat at the stock height not on the ground or anything it looked Factory Heist as if air were in the system and Road pretty nice the front ones were coilovers the rears or just the spring setup but definitely worth its weight in gold he will never have problems with the air system pumps or bags ever again definitely a good kit
keef beef OK the reason why I ask is that I always have my suspension on lowest setting and I was wondering if I put in these if that car will look high
Strategic Computer Systems I believe that they make an adjustable kit if not I'm sure it would be easily made if you cut a loop off the coil or ordered it for like a factory 2 inch drop they make all kinds of options for any application I know that if I can help you just let me know thanks bud

I would have to suggest getting ahold of the dealer on an OEM Part on that one..best way. Should be available...do not buy an aftermarket
