Hi Scott ! Glad to see the young lady of l’Arrosoir again ! Her Shop is huge !!! There used to be florist shops everywhere in Brussels (Belgium) too, but they nearly all closed down in recent years, like most proximity shops. It is true that French people prefer to buy things in local shops whereas In Belgium, people tend to buy everything from the supermarkets. My grandmother made a lot of money with her shop in Paris in the 1920s, but there were lots of traditions back then. For example, saint Catherine was a big occasion for florists as Catherinettes had to wear a hat often decorated with flowers 🙂
It’s possible the fern spirals are actually called fiddleheads and they’re delicacy Or I could be mistaken, but that’s the first thing that came to mind
Your interview with Adrienne was one of the most memorable podcasts! I was so excited to see you had this youtube tour posted! Thank you!
Thank you. I love her story and keeping this wonderful shop alive. Can't wait to visit one day.
