Modern AAA games are truly a meme
they make a game very unoptimized then call it a AAA title lol
@@kymanihamilton3477 Just like Starfield looking like it's from 2015, with hardware requirements from 2025.
@@kymanihamilton3477 like starfield, rdr2, jedi Survivor, the last of us, all of these terrible optimized and all of them AAA 🫡
@@thecatdaddy1981 i feel like this game doesn't really look that much better than the original 2015 Witcher 3 and yet it runs like complete trash idk how these developers do it
@@rb-uu7du To sell more PC hardware / newer consoles. Speaking of The Witcher 3, if you compare the exact same graphical settings between the original version and the "next gen update", the next gen runs worse and doesn't even look better.
The title is diabolically deviously diabolical AND devious 😭
they did it, a bad optimized game with reengine
The RE Engine is NOT optimal for open areas (which this game obviously has a lot of).
It was originally made for Resident Evil and DMC games, which take place in small cramped areas. Performance takes a huge hit as soon as you have a larger map with more NPCs around (like in RE4's village).
How can I understand their engine more than Capcom themselves is beyond me. I guess they just didn't give a f.
yeah we can see very clear that re engine isnt optmal for open areas. I just hope they can improve a bit to be more playable@@SmittyWJManJensen
Its almost like RE engine was made for.... Resident Evil

The crazy fact is that the 7950X3D is not an overkill for the 3060 in this game
🥲
It's been fashionable to release broken games since the end of 2022-early 2023, I still don't understand why (I mean the developers should calculate the release dates of the games better before releasing them in this state)
They do that so they can grab some money, have the players buy and playtest their garbage game then release fixes and updates and then act like they struggled and listened to their players instead of releasing a fully optimized game at launch. Throw in some overpriced paid DLC and that's the new meta for new games.
@@marioguy886 Yeah, and as if that wasn't enough, they even dared to put micro transactions(I can understand in a f2 to play game but here we exaggerate)
@@marioguy886 tbh i don't know about the cash grab part since people can just refund pretty easily on steam
Investor need their profit as fast as possible. Employee need to be paid and get their fee. That is how economy work.
Gamer want more complex game each release but that means more expensive and longer to develop but company can't afford to sustain development time cost. This is modern trend.
Wrong notion that its developers who decides release. Its the companies can pressure developers meeting a predecided release.
When you mean developers, the programmers or the company.
In IT world developers are the programmers we don't call the company developers.
Yea! I've been waiting for your benchmarks on Dragon's Dogma 2
Ultra modded Skyrim runs and looks better absolute tragedy
Mildy modded Skyrim with Reshade looks 10x better than this dogsh*t.
Indeed it is, i had such high hopes to play this😔
If i am not mistaken there are cyberpunk mod that make the game look better but barely reduce performance, and even cyberpunk run way better than this although cyberpunk look way better
let's compare a game that's been optimized for 10 years to a game that's been released for 2 days
Skyrim is almost thirteen years old.
digital foundary said it is very cpu limited at the time and capcom is working on a fix ..... supposedly .... awsome vid as always
Hopefully they'll fix it, but it shouldn't have come out in this state. It feels and looks like an early access game!

Running animation looks like a game from 2010
Wtf kinda complaint is this
Yeah. It reminds me of "Shadow of the Colossus", which was released in 2005.
Oh man, how this game could be released the same month as Horizon Forbidden West... The latter is technically 2 years old, yet it looks so much better than freshly released DD2. This is just ridiculous!
I mean look at Star Wars fallen order and survival running animation
I agree! It caught my attention too!
Kinda sad that this game has been pushed by souls gamers too. If there's one thing that From Software does better than any other AAA company graphically, it's the animations. This game's combat and walking animations just seem low budget to me.

Oh boy i bought a 3060ti two months ago ... I'm kinda of scared at this point new games are so intensive....
Man every single new game is reminding me of how amazing were the 2018 and 2019 games
And doesn't look THAT much better than the 2012 version to boot... that's modern gaming for you: 20% better graphics, 400% more system requirements.
I wouldn't mind the increased hardware requirements if the end result was impressive, but this game looks like crap aside from the lighting. Horizon: Forbidden West looks a generation ahead of this and runs WAY better too.
just play games that are well made like Horizons Forbidden West, not this crap
Unfortunately with the state of game optimization these days, I'd say to get peace of mind at 1080p you need a 3080, but at the moment 3060ti is still a solid GPU and should be decent for at least a year
Do you know whats funny, subnautica and subnautica below zero, the forest and sons of the forst looks better than this, those indie developer do better than these guys with a far smaller budget and far smaller team. XD

It's worth noting that the interlaced rendering means that it's only rendering half of the full resolution. DLSS will absolutely fare better than the shimmery look of Interlaced Rendering. I like that RE Engine supports it, but it's god awful that they lean into it here and require it to be on for the game to run at anything even close to reasonable. I was so exited for this game, too. It's quite disappointing.
On a side note, Horizon Forbidden West and Dragon's Dogma 2 on launch day? You're killing it with these benchmarks.

We got decent game engines these days, damn devs pull youselves together there.
have you considered injecting AMD CAS using reshade to help sharpen the blurriness dlss might introduce when there's no sharpening option in game?
Game is not optimized for ray tracing.
DLSS makes the game look significantly worse with nary an improvement in frames. In some areas your fps will not even benefit from DLSS. Best way to run this game for my RTX 3090 was to max everything out, disable DLSS, disable ray tracing. With that the game looks good and manages to hold 50-70 fps with occasional drops here and there.
Game is a 9/10. Performance is a 4/10. Seeing as it looks like a game from 2018-19 at best, it doesn't warrant the absolutely atrocious performance.
You were using interlaced mode and sharpness is way high thats why FSR 3 looked like crap

If the RTX 2080ti is needed for 4K 30fps, getting around 60fps with a RTX 3060 in 1440p seems alright.
Ive noticed the issues with antialiasing too: You either play with DLSS off and have a very oversharpened look with pixelated edges, or you use dlss, which at least for me, smoothes out the edges, but makes the water look terrible by ruining the reflections and shadows.
11:45 glad you brought that up. I have a 4070S and with Frame Gen it runs very smooth for me but the 3060 should be able to run every game with no dips at FHD at least 60 FPS.

The performance problems don't really have to do with the graphics cards here. This runs on the Resident Evil game engine. The game is extremely CPU bound and that is because of the Pawns as well as all other npcs (that's why it runs like sh!t in towns). The reason is that this game actually has dynamic interactive Npcs, which means the CPU has do do separate calculations for EACH of them.
Unless they patch it (somehow) there is nothing that you can really do.....
There is no FG, yet, and I don't think this has DLSS3 but rather simple DLSS(?)...or something....

@@zWORMzGaming We wanna see some rage from you man. It'll be entertaining. hahaha Anyways, love the content as always.
It doesn't matter. If the 3060 is the most popular card for PC players, that is what they should have targeted. But as you said, the devs didn't seem to care about the PC. To be fair, consoles have it rough too. I am amazed that the game released like this. We were worried when all we say from the gameplay trailers were 30fps. I hope Capcom fires a few people up top. I hope they tell their shockholders to bugger off and I hope the team is at work right now working on a fix. I am personally getting complete system freezes about ever 1-2 hours on top of the awful performances. I will also mention the second zone, the desert zone, my frames seem to be better and I have YET to experience a freeze. So, there's that.
They didn’t optimize any of the limbs that can be severed. That’s my guess
First off. There are some settings I won't mention like DLSS that isn't working properly and I get average 58fps outside of towns on high settings with FSR enabled on quality, Sometimes It goes up to around 80fps. The city is the most intensive where it can go as low as 30fps. This is a know issue with the game related to CPUs. Doesn't matter how strong your CPU is. I have a Ryzen 5 3600 pared with a Zotac RTX 3060 12gb. Game runs perfectly fine most of the time. Small towns drop around 5-8fps with rare drops of around 12 fps. City drops around 15fps with rare 28fps drops.
Just play around with your settings until you get the right results. They should patch the city performance issues in a week or two. So we should at least get 10fps boost in cities. Not ideal, but that is just how it is.
"That's just how it is" is the moto of gamers. As long as we think that way, devs will push games that are garbage with optimizations.
So id be able to play okay-ish on my RTX 3060 Ryzen 7 5800H Radeon 16GB ?😬
This is crazy. Watching grass and walls shimmering I thought my GPU is broken and reinstalled windows, then found this video. Better I refund this before developed an epilepsia.
if u cry that much at the starting area wait till u reach the first big city XD
On my 4080 laptop it runs with around 90fps, but in the city i drop down to 30 :P
If i stay still it stabilizes at 55 but every time the camera moves it drops down to 30...so u will feel that drops pretty hard.
Still i have to say, the combat and gameplay is still awesome, they should of course do some patches to make it alot less demanding and put better dlss and FG into the game aswell.
dont play it on borderless window. oh and btw the fullscreen is bugged for me. the way to force fullscreen is to alt enter when the game is booting up
with fullscreen it's now stable above 60fps, previously i was getting 30fps too.
