- A few people messaged me on how I set up the GBS for low & slow. I searched a bunch of different setups and found one that I liked, so that is the one that I am using for now. That may change in the future, but I am happy with how this one is working.
Rock On!!!
One of the first videos I’ve seen that’s not that dang slow and sear. Between this and the snake method is the way to cook. Great video
Never too early for beer mate! Lol love the vid.
Wooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RTFO!!! GB
Almost exited the video at that point lol
This is the exact way I have been cooking Brisket, Wings, Whole Chicken, and Seriously Seared Steak for years. You are right on target.
This is exactly how I set mine up.
Love the "green bastard" kettle.
Bubbles would be so proud.
Wooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!
Hey thanks a lot. I still use this method for some of my cooks. It may not be fancy & modern, but it does the job.
RTFO!!!🤘
Pretty cool lookin grill and great meeting you today in pusa studio LS lets stay connected
Wooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good seeing how you set your Weber up.
This is just one of several ways that works very well, if you don't want to dish out mega$$$ for something already made.
RTFO!!! GB
Low and slow is the way to go. Love your setup. Glad to be here
143 big likeeee.. I’m new member from Italy Florence... Compliments for your channel..... good weekend soon...

Great set-up! This video is very informative. We've never seen a kettle grill used in such a clever way.
Thanks, this setup works quite well, and it is in expensive. Sure it doesn't look snazzy, but it's not about the looks, it's about the results.

Hi, I came by from Patrick's channel!! Nice to meet you, hoping to connect with you! Orange crush, awesome stuff!! I buy no name charcoals, works good! Thank you for sharing. Anyway, Korean cooking is my passion!! See you around, stay safe and God bless!
Patrick is a great guy for sure. Thanks for stopping by my drunk cooking channel. This channel is not for most people due to the excessive drinking and swearing, but some very good foods get cooked here. I am not a chef or a cook, but I have fun.
RTFO!!! GB🤘
Was awesome GB, stay safe take care of you. Thanks for sharing eh :))
Woooooooooo!!!!!!!!

Rock on fire brick kettle dude. That's clever as heck. Thanks - Lumpy
The fire bricks work great and are cheap to buy. I use this set for a few different recipes.
RTFO!!! GB
Hey new friend! This is exactly what we needed to watch. My bbq skills are horrible.
Awesome!!!!!
RTFO!!! GB
Oh man. You need to keep making videos dude. I love this channel!!! Hey from Pusa.

Interesting vid GB, like in the music in the background 👌

You have to be from Canada. Green Bastard Style? That just screams Bubbles! Plus a few other things I noticed lol. Rock on dude!
RTFO!!! GB🤘
Love those Weber kettles!
They sure are one of the best cookers ever made.
RTFO!!! GB
Great idea!
Hello new friend!! Great instructions on barbecuing.
It's never to early for beer man...it can be to late...Never to early, especially when your touching your grill....
I hear you there!!!!
RTFO!!! GB
As soon as you said, "It's too early for beer", I shut it off.
Kidding of course; I live in Wisconsin.
There are a # of low & slow set ups out there and I use this one about a quarter of the time. It just depend on my mood and my beer intake at the time.
RTFO!!! GB
Is that airborne playing in the background? Great tunes.
Nice. Just got my old Weber off Craig’s for $20. Gonna ha e to use this method now. Thanks dude!
Willy Winks I bought one for $25 off CL.. Lasted me 13 years!
very clever setup! thank you for sharing ))
Thanks, this setup works great.
RTFO!!! GB
That 5 or 6 lit brisket suggestion is the best advice anyone could give if they want to start off low and slow and not waste a ton of coals.
hey new friend, found you on the stream :)gotta try this sometime
like the set up bet it works awesome thumbs up and shared
This works great for sure, if you don't want to spend big cash for a fancy accessory. I don't use this method all of the time, but I get fantastic results with it.
RTFO!!! GB
You forgot one thing dbl the charcoal grate so they criss cross forcing the charcoal to burn longer before they fall though. 👍🏼
How long do the coals last before you have to add more?
Depending on how you are running, 5-7 hours.
RTFO!!! GB
Your shirt is awesome. Great tutorial GB :-) Orange Crush RULES!!!!!!! Have a great weekend. \m/ \m/ ROCK ON!!!!!!!
Thanks MegaFred. Crush is a great refreshing soda pop.
Rock On!!! GB
Green Bastard I had two orange crush today as a matter of fact :-) I did a BBQ rib video yesterday :-) Have a great week GB \m/ \m/ ROCK ON!!!!!!!
I would think the foil and the water pan would restrict air flow quite a bit
This works very well, you do not want big air flow for low and slow.
RTFO!!! GB
Love the budget charcoal. Hey, whatever works right? Too early for beer but whT about. Bloody Marry? Thanks for the tips. Cant wait for it to cool down so I can pull the WSM out and get back to BBQing.
Yesterday I saw kingsford for almost $13.00 for a regular size bag and thought, wow it's getting out of hand to BBQ if you can't find a deal on fire.
Love this. Searched for this low n' slow info for my weber & loved the video only to realise that you are playing Airbourne in the back ground....I'm their manager. I won't charge you a sync fee because the low n' slow tutorial will cover that ;) Cheers..
RTFO!!! GB
Now I gotta get some fire brick. I'll be damned….. it is No name.
Oh shit…….I left my case of beer in the car! Woooooooo!!!! \m/
Thanks, Brother. This system seems to work well, just as with any natural fired smoking system, you have to fuck with the vents throughout the cook. I am happy with the results so far.
Don't leave beer in the car, put it in the fridge.
Rock On!!! GB
nice job. new sub here. grill on.
Nice bbq
RTFO!!! GB
good idea thanks keep tubing
saw you on Pusa
RTFO!!! GB
This is awesome. Thank you
It might not be fancy and look shiny, but it works great and only costs a few bucks.
RTFO!!! GB
Nice vid but remember you can’t drink all day unless you start in the morning! Rock on.
RTFO!!! GB
Cant you just use the fire bricks to keep charcoal on one side and not use the low and slow insert?
You sure can, just depends on your preference.
RTFO!!! GB
I like to grill setup and an orange crush I could use one right now.
Thanks Ray Mack, Orange Crush is great. If you have a chance, check out my vid on Carolina Bastard Wings from a couple of days ago.
Rock On!!! GB
I like it that your solution is not to reach deep into your pocket for a Slow n Sear or some other overpriced gadget. This way you have more beer money RTFO 😆😋👍
Thanks Pete, I actually do own the product that you mentioned, I bought one when they first came out and it is very useful as a large charcoal basket, but not essential for a kettle user. I don't need to rant and rave about it like most kettle users do, they just like to wash balls. I still do use this fire brick method for some of my cooks. It works very well and costs less than $10. More money for beer is always a good thing. Cheers Buddy.
RTFO!!! GB
I never drink soda... But if I do it's an orange soda. My all time favorite...
never tried this setup...gonna try and locate fire bricks tomorrow
I am happy with this setup, but I will fool around with other methods too. That is what is great about this type of cooking, there are so many things to experiment with.
Rock On!!! GB
I'm a new Friend!
Wooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His set up is OK, but do not put foil on the bottom. It will restrict the little airflow that he has going.
Says some chump with no content or video to prove otherwise😂🤣😂 The air flow is restricted for a specific reason. Maybe rewatching will help you with that.
RTFO!!!🤘
Hey genius restricting the airflow on half of the kettle's bottom is not good. @@CGBS4744
@@bigdchi it’s actually quite smart because all the air that enters through the bottom is fed past the coals making it easier to control temps genius
@@bluelightguy1 I don’t think so, Einstein
@@bigdchi oh wow we have a real thermodynamic pit master here folks
