@@jamieknox1806 The time runn's so fast, I was 2002 in Amsterdam 10 year's off Thunderdome ( Adecade ). I'm still listen hardcore music but all this new school plastik stuff is trash. We got maybe 3-4 good producers at time who release good music.

Way to short for promo
Uptempo and recent styles of hardcore are a nice new type of sound with the most bizarre kicks.
But the style in this era has it all, great kicks, beautifull melodies, awesome screaming sounds. This was a more complete kind a hardcore..
This was the best era for hardcore in my opinion. The beginning was crucial but was lacking sound quality because of what was possible on a technical level. After that, technology catched up and the possibilities grew, new artists came and the sound was perfected. The new age has more sound design and digital possibilities but in my opinion lacks soul, emotion and analog rawness.
Thanks to Promo for taking us back to this era!

I've always been a major thunderdome follower the artists that perform at thunderdome definitely have a unique style that isn't copied well in other places, the fact that promo is at thunderdome it's like a dream come true ! 🫶 A nightmare in Rotterdam would be my second choice !! 💯

It sounds like a lot of tracks are cutted to mix it easyer or this is pre mixed at home. Strange to listen to sets like this🙄
They are all pre-made and I'm sure practiced very much. It's not just random tracks they know exactly what track and at what point to mix them. Would you go in front of thousands of people and not know exactly what tracks you were going to play. It's not a friend's basement 🤣

Mixing early hardcore, gabber and mainstream hardcore from 2000 to 2010 are way more fun and more enjoyable than those Uptempo songs

The absolute golden years of Hardcore for me. I don't even know where to begin with this mix. It's amazing. It's hard to choose your top songs in 30 minutes spanning over a decade. Impossible task. I will play this to my kids lol it;s so good! We all need to go back from Upptempo

i got into the hardcore scene about 3 or 4 years ago, i started with GPF and UOK so I learned to love uptempo, terror, everything loud n fast, but as of lately like the last few months since I went to defqon, i've really been starting to appreciate early hardcore and early gabber etc. its all really, really good, and its making me start to see why people say "oh hardstyle is dead" and allat other stuff. new stuff im throwing my hands up to, this old stuff im dancing to, its like 2 different worlds. Hardcore never dies, it just evolves, but even as it evolves, the early days wont be forgotten.
Hardstyle is a different level. We do only early hardcore, hardcore, darkcore and industrial or terror.
