The thing I like the most about this joke is that the demon is determined to murder Pim, but the moment he gets accused of racism he tries to defend himself morally.
I think the "real" joke here is that even after trying to unambiguously murder Pim, the moment the creature is accused of something vaguely racist (which it isn't, as the creature rightfully defends that position) the people viciously murder the monster, in a way that's arguably _worse_ than what the monster was doing
It's an old joke Zach (Psychicpebbles) shared during a Oneyplays stream. Basically he said "What if a mom instead of pizza brought a screeching monkey during a kids party and they just ripped it to pieces and eat it". Different thing here but same execution
The sheer escalation from accusations of blackface to beating the demon to death, EATING him, and then lighting the remains on fire is absurd comedy gold
I find it hilarious that the demon is insanely fast, can fly, and is probably strong as fuck and somehow just gets completely annihilated by a mob of angry people lol
I was surprised too. Usually in their old animations he would just be screaming his head off running in a straight line like a joke but they've come a long way in both setting up jokes and setting the scene
Ikr? The heavy breathing, the tripping, the bumping into things and the fumbling for the keys. It's incredible how lively this scene feels and I was genuinely at the edge of my seat.
Respect to Pim in this situation honestly. The second he saw that thing, he didn't freeze up, dude just bolted, immediately took out his gun and got a good shot off to buy himself time when he fell. Didn't bother trying to pick up his keys, just ran to the back door. Dude is a survivor for sure.
Uhhh it’s kind of what most people would do, it is literally one of the most basic human instincts. Flight or fight, and he ran as fast as he could. Some people would freeze, that is also something bc that can happen, but most people, if attacked by a deadly animal or literal forest demon would run tf away
@@redandblue1013 yea but pim made all the right decisions and wasted no time. when you're under stress it's easy to slip and make the wrong move, especially when there's an actual shadow demon chasing you

what makes it funnier, is that someone with a ghost costume is there, and they still celebrate the death of the demon, so with the logic of this comment, they all support the KKK, but not blackface. they all have their limits
Love the small detail at 1:15 the girl is recording on her phone and the animation is sync up with what’s actually happening and even the perspective is done right. From where she is, he would only have the pink door as a background. Nice job to Zack, Michael and the crew.
I can't believe they didn't render the forest demon from a different angle to correctly show the perspective of the video. Just pure laziness, I'm disappointed in Zach and Michael for overlooking this.

But once Rotoscope Guy asks 'is that fucking blackface', that's when things got interesting.

This is the first time a non-horror TV show(live OR animated) doing a scary episode has actually scared me, the first jumpscare reveal is fucking perfect the unexpected 3D model was genius
One of my favorite bits from this episode is Charlie's stance. What a lovely group of people
This isn't a costume 1:20
-blackface last words
_Living creature presumably born a black color_
"Whoa, is that *b l a c k f a c e* ?"
“TAKE A PICTURE OF HIM AND POST IT ON THE INTERNET”
- Raiden
I love hearing Zach scream as one of the background characters at 1:41 it’s amazing how much voice work he did for the show
Off topic but i really like Alan's Joker costume
Whole crowd just laid this dude out like the Slayer would’ve 😭
I like how they foreshadowed the bb guns usefulness earlier in the episode by having pim shoot alan in the eye with it.
what makes this so much more funny is how realistically horrific that demon that's chasing him really is 😂
This goes from legitimately suspenseful, to funny, to completely horrifying in the span of 30 seconds and it still feels tonally consistent which is something most major films nowadays would have trouble doing.
Major kudos.
I love seeing this, i get so bored of every single enemy being indestructible/bullet proof/invulnerable to any damage, about time that it is shown that humans can actually kill things
The crews horrified faces kills me every time
This shit was actually scary lol. I remember watching this episode with my roomate and we both happened to get distracted by something and missed the jump scare but we saw something obscurely terrifying in our peripheral vision and were both like “wtf was that”, played it back, and saw it in its full horrifying claymation glory
i like how this entire episode was just a 10 minute build up to why charlie doesnt want to dress up for halloween
Adult Swim: Fall asleep watching Bob's Burgers, wake up to nightmare-inducing horror
A 2 year old comment so accurate. And all on a children's network it it's dusk hours.
the different animation styles really make this way more scarier then it already was
Killing a demon in halloween is the most cool thing I've seen in a while
I love how Alan is all in shock and awe while dressed up as the Joker who would have loved it or even participated in it all. 😂😂
the fact they continuously get more and more brutal and inhumane with how they kill the demon over a supposed blackface costume is probably the best part
That gurgling sound he makes after being punched is just so unsettling. Amazing details. Most shows would’ve just made him scream.
It's what makes this so realistic and more funnier
1:33 that’s me telling my friends 😂😂😂
Its even funnier since the demon knows what blackface is
Objectively one of the funniest things to happen in a cartoon.
This scene is basically the inverse of the infamous eclipse from Berserk.
Not gonna lie, wasn’t expecting the ending to go down like this…
First time I had this reaction I had the same reaction as Pim and the others in the back as the madness carried on.
Watching it for the 35th time now, couldn’t laugh any harder.
I probably shouldn’t be watching shows like this when high 😂
For animation, this is terror at its best.
the clay animation artstyle the demon has reminds me of Courage the Cowardly Dog.
Lmao I love how they got the return the slab type animations in this show
I said it once I’ll say it again, the fact we went from “I love picking up twigs” to this shit is hysterical.
