I got that OneUp pump. The rubber strap snapped on my first ride because I bumped into it with my leg. In my eyes there is no need for it so it is what it is. Besides that I wish I could rather mount it straight on top of the tube instead, because depending on what bike you have and so on you can bump into the pump while riding because it is sticking out to the side. I keep mine in a backpack from now on. The pump itself works like a pump and I also got the tools and what not inside. So, functionality is bueno, but they should redesign the mount.
If I know something about OneUp it's that they would genuinely really appreciate your feedback, reach out to them and let them know your thoughts and what happened, they'd 100% be interested!
@@GeeMilner I worked in a shop in the mid 90's so I can start from the frame up or reverse all day long. I still have parts i scored in the late 90's. cheers !
@@GeeMilner my gem is in my profile photo. !998 GT Avalanche LE ,the only year they made the 6061 like the Zaskar. full XT besides rear LX hub, crank/BB and as thats 2003 Deore on it. I snagged from original owner a few years ago. Has the Judy sl with disc mount too. yet that is on the table as the Kona P2 rigid fork is on it now.
@@thinkpadBentnoseTheBlind I guess thats the really difficult part, having enough of the old parts to keep bikes running although in fairness most of the old components were repairable and fixable unlike a lot of things now which once they break cannot be repaired.
@@GeeMilner I'm a pack rat and totally agree. All my parts are 90's parts but for a few ones. If they are compatible with my stuff great. but i have enough to run my bikes until i die or can't pedal no more. i never sell,only gift oe trade 90's parts

@@GeeMilnerbsolutely! Also tough as you’d like. I’ve never heard any of my mates complain about them and none of them have ever even considered going up to XTR. Heck some don’t even want to upgrade out of SLX!
@@jamesnicolson6833 Shimano have always done such a good job of producing super reliable gearing which is great no matter what price point you drop in at, even Deore 12 speed is amazing. We have been super impressed with micro shift though, must admit!

Me gusta mucho ver como poco a poco va armando las bicicletas, pero no entiendo por qué le echa grasa al manillar para luego limpiarla, es algo innecesario no? Sería mejor echarle grasa a las abrazaderas de la potencia (stem) y así no habría desperdicio de grasa ni nada que limpiar
Lo que le hechan en el manillar es pasta de carbono que ayuda a que a la hora de apretar los tornillos con la llave dinamométrica no genere una mala lectura por la flexibilidad en el carbono. Por eso se aplica en el manillar antes de ser apretado.
@@samuelhennig9386 si es eso para mi es igual, echar eso en el manillar, en partes que a la hora de montarlo, no quedan en contacto con la potencia, no tiene sentido y está más que comprobado, porque al final cuando el manillar está montado, el limpia con el líquido y un trapo, todo eso que queda al descubierto, gasto innecesario de líquido y un embarrijo con el trapo y si esa misma pasta de carbono se echa en las abrazaderas de la potencia, tendría la misma eficiencia pero sin desperdicio, me explico?

All my rides are 90's 26 inch hard tails. I would have no use for that bike. I hope someone who really needs it wins it though. cheers !
