So happy you’re doing these studio takes these months Joris, they’re all super beautiful. I mainly listen to louder nastier techno but there’s a true beauty in these tracks that really resonates with me. Much appreciated!
Wonderful track mix, rolls back the years to those club nights I miss I’m a London lad but have had many good nights at the Spinning Bar in Groningen as I have Dutch relatives in Zwolle A fantastic people and Country, now a music maestro to boot 🎶🎶🎶🌈🌈💙🆒🔱😎🌻👁👽🌟
Great song and amazing smooth control of the gear and machines, sometimes someone true shows how its done! No playbacks and senseless knob tweaking, precision work - Love the vibes!
Great rework of this TRANCE track. I know Trance is commercially almost dead, but this is definitely not Techno. But hey what's in the name I love both Techno and Trance :-D
Echt heel vet!! Thumbs up!!
What a Talent ! nd what an Artist ! Since the Piknik Electronique in Montreal u inspired me nd u keep doin' it through the years... Respect nd Big Thank You for all ur work ! Ur an Icon in electronic music !
Hatalmas lett az átdolgozás! 🙃 Csodálatos. Szép munka! Gratula! 😉 I think the rework has been huge! It shakes my body cold all the way 😁. The work was wonderful. Nice work.😉
Hi Joris, why do you opt for the TD-3 when you have the real machine? I have both too, but I like the 303 much more. That being said, I find the TD-3 a perfect compagnon for the 303, BECAUSE it sounds a little flat/thin. That makes it easier to blend both machines. I really enjoy your jams! :-)
Hi,thanks a lot for all your hardware session i love all of them you push me to put my machines on and make some noise:) .I am curious and i want to know what is the white box under the blue td3 (a 909 clones?).thanks a lot for your share sorry for my english i'm a french guy!
Opening and closing band, notch or hi/low pass filters, opening or closing gates, muting the kick, introducing new elements slowly, using the volume faders in the mixer, activating effects like delays, chorus, flangers... etc etc etc...
Everytime he has had to make the choice between new chair and synth, he has chosen synth, respect.
Priorities. Sorted 👍
Tens of thousands worth of gear and meanwhile the chair looks like it could fall apart any second. Love it.
I love it too😁😁😁
This is SO GOOD, LOVE IT🇳🇱
Seems like this is his lucky chair when he performs. Look at the one behind is probably the one for work 😀
Lol
My lucky chair, I've had this in my studio the last 20 years, but the reason I'm using it is that my Eames chair is too high for these recordings.
Hardware in action! Love it, please make more videos like this. Nothing compares to listening to hardware being played live.
Gosh... You're fully right... We forgot how music must be felt, not only listened to... And the closer we are to the instrument the better 👍
Hardware rules every time! Who wants a computer screen! Love it. Even a simple riff manipulated with hardware is the best.
14mins nothing is changing - but all is changing...love it!
How can one be so talented? Superb 👌🏻
this is my antidepressant therapy.
The art of repeating a sequence and keeping it grooving. Love the sound of the outboard!
Great rework, original is legend. Btw Original is by Orlando Voorn (as: Format #1 - Solid Session). AFAIK they're not related.
Always loved the original track by Orlando Voorn, now the other Voorn (Joris) takes this classic to a whole new level. Awesome!!
The strenght of analog ❤
So happy you’re doing these studio takes these months Joris, they’re all super beautiful. I mainly listen to louder nastier techno but there’s a true beauty in these tracks that really resonates with me. Much appreciated!
I know this is a rework of Format 1, but this jam keeps reminding me of 3 Drives - Greece 2000 for some odd reason! Terrific session!!!
Solid Session. One of the best house tracks ever. Brings back good memories! Love this version!
i agree my friend
Format #1 Solid Session !
Dj Misjah Remix
Super electronic music 😊
Wonderful track mix, rolls back the years to those club nights I miss
I’m a London lad but have had many good nights at the Spinning Bar in Groningen as I have Dutch relatives in Zwolle
A fantastic people and Country, now a music maestro to boot

I lived in Groningen during the 90's. Those were the days!
Great song and amazing smooth control of the gear and machines, sometimes someone true shows how its done! No playbacks and senseless knob tweaking, precision work - Love the vibes!
This should be released on spotify
Format 1, Solid Session..Orlando Voorn...massive track! Brings back so many good memories..😁😍.guess it's all in the family name
.😉
''Dutch techno'' ? Man this is a pure Trance!
Exactly my thoughts :-)
Yep, total trance.
Isnt it in the old days there was no thing as trance, there was only house/techno, later things saperated, could be wrong
You are 18 years old I guess? And don’t know Orlando voorn and any of that music from that era.
Haha like i said, could be wrong, and im 31. I love the music but missed some things back in the day 🧐
Heerlijk deze gouwe ouwe! Gelukkig duurt ie lekker lang :-)
Those drums cut like a knife. Awesome track!
For anyone wondering... the mixer is a Cadac Live1 1642
I came here just to find this, thanks
Makes a classic and even better classic. Superb sound.
When you become one with the machines! A quarter of an hour spent in a higher realm! Max love to Joris!!!
Format 1 - Solid Session. Huge Classic! Amazing Rework by Joris Voorn! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great rework of this TRANCE track. I know Trance is commercially almost dead, but this is definitely not Techno. But hey what's in the name I love both Techno and Trance :-D
Absolutely fantastic reinterpretation of a classic, thanks
Bestttttttttttt... (Format - Solid Session)
Format - Solid Session. Better than the original! Greetz from 🇨🇭
No way!
It’s a nice remake but the original stays the best.
The music is absolutely fantastic but the best part of this video is the chair he's sitting on.
Love it
awesome way to pay tribute to such a classic!

The Kurzweil K2500/2600 must be one of the sexiest synth of all time.

Joris, Ik ben helemaal Zot van uwe muziek. Maar het origineel blijft toch mijn favoriet.
That chair thing is funny yeah haha, but the track is freakin awesome, Im drifting away, it really takes me somewhere
Love the behringer, they are making so much good gear that my pocket is getting stung every couple months 🙂🕉
Incredible performance. Mind soul and body are one.
That old chair ! Is Joris dancing on it, or is the chair dancing under him ?
To be there with them BIGFOOTS!!!!!!! WOW, I want those speakers and a room SOOOOOO much every time I see them in a idols hands!
Been loving seeing you're live jams but would love to see a video breaking all down what you do to create a jam or track and how you composed it?
Every time I consider selling my 202, I watch one of your videos and quickly remember why I shouldn't. Such an underrated synth and so fun to program.
I love this track from Orlando Voorn.
I used to play it a lot on the ESP (extra sensual perception) album.
Witch is imo still great.
Format 1 / Orlando Voorn - it's in the name. Great stuff.
Tof gedaan man, respect ! Blijft een lekker nummer ;)
Grande maestro!!, abrazos y gracias man!. 👍👍👍👍✌✌✌
Dit kan blijven gaan superrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Man, so good memories on this track... Excellent rework :)
That chair is classic! Love it! Your choices in life are correct. More synths, less chairs. Love the track btw. Awesome! :)

Totally agree! TD3 is a great sidekick.
Love it. I prefer this over the original
Perhaps you could show us how each instrument works.
I don't even know what to say! 👌

I keep coming back to this, love it so much. Curious what is that white box with black knobs sitting on the table in the middle?
great re-work Joris

The sweet memories. Great rework!
I have no idea what you're doing turning all those knobs and switches but sounds amazing. 😅
Opening and closing band, notch or hi/low pass filters, opening or closing gates, muting the kick, introducing new elements slowly, using the volume faders in the mixer, activating effects like delays, chorus, flangers... etc etc etc...
@@hugosantos1476 true, but that can all be triggered by software 😆
most of it is being triggered by software, of course; he'd had to be an octopus with 20 arms and hands to do it all live and at the same time!
@@joy1ess yes but then you have to program it first. The beauty is in the improvisation.
@@jorisvoorndj true
So great again Joris !!
Big like, amazing rework!
dude this is awesome. you've given me something to aspire to! well done :)
Love this track, such a hypnotic arp!
I remember the song, loved it back then and love it again today ;), excellent sounding remix 🙏

Je suis fan... j’adore ce que tu fais avec la mc202
watching this made me realize DJs and producers probably wish they had more than 2 hands at times lol
