Yay, I’m so glad you guys made it! That must’ve been incredibly hard to do with two little kids! I moved about eight times with my two boys who are 15 months apart, it can be pretty crazy!🤪 you guys are going to have such a great time in Australia! And when you guys get home to Utah, you’re going to be starting an incredible new chapter in your life! I know it’s going to be so different compared to Hawaii, just remember this… You have a Lotta friends in Hawaii, you can always go back and visit as much as you want! Once your kids get into school, along with all of your friends kids, it’s going to be so hard to see each other as much as you used to. Because the kids will have new friends from their class, sports, dance, and all sorts of activities! So now, when you go out to visit Hawaii, it will be extra special!😊❤️ I am a 57-year-old mom who misses her sons dearly! They are in their late 20s living their lives the way they’re supposed to be. I’m hoping once they have kids they will realize that I’m not gonna be around for forever. So hopefully we will do more family stuff together! I am sure that your parents are so excited to have you coming back home to live!! Now they can watch their grandchildren grow up and babysit and all the fun things that grandparents want to do! Everything will work out exactly the way it supposed to. I love you guys, you always make my heart smile! Thanks for sharing all that you do! I’m sending big hugs and kisses to Jack and sunny and hugs to you guys! Enjoy Australia mates!! Lol 😂 😀❤️🦘🌊🏄🏼♂️☀️

One day I start looking @ shirts of children's reaction to their soldier father's returning home & then by mistake dogs, babies & families. I watch several times a week & cry a lot with enjoyment. I love the way you parent & support each other. I believe you do impact the lives of others. Anyone who watch you can feel your spiritual nature, so you're right to protect that part of your life. Keep up the good work🙏💖🌞
Welcome to the Goldy in Queensland, Australia. Hope you both get plenty of chances to ride some waves whilst there. I live about 5 hours north of your current location and am stoked you're enjoying your time here so far. ❤
You all are Champs. Traveling with kids is never easy. We had a similar experience 6 months ago. My husband got a job in the states, where we are from, but we we're living in Taiwan for the past three years. His new job gave him two weeks to start. So we had to pack up and leave within 10 days. When we got to the airport my husband's Visa had some issues and he had to stay behind. At the time I was eight months pregnant and we had five children, the oldest being nine. Because of how quick we had to leave we did not buy refundable tickets. So I took a 27 hour journey by myself and 5 kids. It was a nightmare and would not do it again if I had a choice. I'm just glad you all had someone to help. We had many people helped me on the way but it was for separate flights. Thankfully we only had carry-on items so I did not have to check in any luggage at each location.
Sara, you are so right!!! I met lots of Australians when I was in Greece and Turkey, and I can say- I never met a bad Australian!!! They are kind and sweet and just great people!! Never met a bad Australian!!
I have a small travel tip that really helped. Get one of those collapsible wagons and check it in a stroller bag. It comes in really handy when you have a little kids because you can either use it to carry the kids or the luggage.
Love your vlogs so much! I give you so much credit for flying for 24 hours with 2 little kids. I’m still amazed at how well Jack speaks. All of you are wonderful. Keep up the great work!❤
I'm so glad the trip to Australia went well! Jack's words sound so much more articulate, I am so impressed at how he speaks and the great vocabulary he has for a 2.5 year old, and Sunny's big brown hair!! I admire how loving y'all are as parents. Excited to watch your new house tour video :)
I have a feeling they couldn't do without her 😅 Sarah strikes me as pretty exhausted mostly and Derek as sweet but often pretty clueless. If you don't have grandparents or other family around, i know from experience how hard it is to raise kids mostly by yourselves and also both have a career. So i guess they're really lucky to be able to afford good help like a nanny.
Thank God. Doing this kind of things alone is so freaking hard I don't have any idea how our grandmas did it! So many kids and they were at home alone most of the time 😢😢😢
In 1998 I traveled with my Marine Corps husband and my three children ages 6, 4 and 18 months from Portland, Oregon to Los Angeles from Los Angeles to Hawaii from Hawaii to Guam and from Guam to Okinawa Japan that’s series of flights to 48 hours and my husband and I both had strep throat and we’re running fevers. That was the worst trip even though my children were angels. And I agree the saving grace for us with the bassinets on the airplanes. So I’m glad the trip for you guys with fairly smooth y’all are great parents!
Glad to see you guys made the first leg of the move safely and somewhat sanely. 😊 Enjoy every moment because right this moment is when it’s happening. By the time the future gets here, it’ll be now. 😊 You guys will be happy anywhere as long as you’re together.
Home is where ever you are together!!! As an army child growing up and moving almost every year from base to base it really is just the people and not the place which is home!!!!!
glad you guys are loving it on the gold coast! hope you find some time to travel up a bit further north, there are some beautiful spots along the coast! the goldie has some great surf too, such a great place to stay.
I am so happy you made it safely to Australia! Jack and Sunny are precious and beautiful! They did beautifully for flying for 24 hours! You are amazing parents! The love you have is palpable! Australia looks beautiful so far! Jack getting a stomach bug is awful but also normal! He looked so much better and his artwork is beautiful! And Sunny has a gorgeous head of hair! You’re amazing parents. I love watching you guys. I know it must be so hard vlogging with 2 lil ones. But. You guys make it work. So proud of your little family.❤
I'm not to sure... ask around about moisture. If I remember correctly some places in Australia are prone to mold so they have little things you do that prevents it and sucks up excess moisture
Are they living here in Australia now? Aren't they building a 2 million dollar home in Utah and showing it off. I'm confused. Or are they just living the life of luxury.
No they were visiting as they said on previous videos . They have a wonderful life they worked hard to have 😊and are giving their kids the best they can !
Always an adventure with the Beestons! Suggestion from a frequent traveler…figure out what you absolutely NEED for the flight home and send everything else ahead. TRY to pare down to one suitcase and check it. Love your family and your videos! Have fun! ❤️
Youall are helping me SO much! I have to move to the east coast from my California home (of FIFTY years), but I’m starting to get excited about it instead of scared, thanks in large part to your experience. So a big Thank You Beeston’s! 😘 Enjoy your vacation 👍🥰

After the chaos of packing and getting ready for the trip it must have been a huge blessing to have a good flight! - minus the little hiccups of course 😅 So so happy for you guys! Have an absolutely fabulous time in Australia. Looking forward to seeing the next vlog 😊
I'm so glad you guys are loving it here. It's honestly the best place in the world. I probably wouldn't have chosen the gold Coast but each to their own. Make sure you make at least a day trip down to Byron Bay. You'll love it!! Good surf too. Have fun guys.
I didn’t ever dare leaving the house . My daughter had awful acid reflux and she was always so uncomfortable and constantly spitting up . I also pumped milk every 2 hours . It was the most exhausting and stressful time .
I used to travel all over the world with 3 little ones, many times without their father!! It was always chaotic, challenging, but worth it once we reached our destination. Flying for 24+ hours does suck though!
Okay that baby bassinet on the airplane!! That is SO cool. I wish I knew about that. And I am SO excited to see what you do in Australia!! ☀️ My hubby served his mission in Sydney! We named our little girl Sydney. I hope Jack gets feeling better. Your place looks beautiful there!!
So happy you guys did so well with 24 hour travel. Insanity! Sounds like the kids did amazing! I only braved a 4 hour direct flight alone with a 5 and 2 year old. They were awesome and we couldn’t have been more proud of how well they did! PARENT PRO TIP: Get Jack “Color Magic” markers & coloring books! Every color of marker is clear tipped and only deposits color on the special paper. Will save you SO much time & trouble cleaning marker off of children and everything else. If you want them to use regular markers always pay the extra and get the washable markers. They come off of everything and everyone so much easier than the regular ones.
@@kelliwillis417 Sounds like you didn't have a good experience with them. Both of my kids over the years had probably every Color Magic book and marker that they made at the time. While I do agree that the colors don't look exactly like Crayola, the ones they had were very bright. Even the pastel ones I thought looked nice. We even had the glitter ones lol I thought they lasted a long time. Also, thinking about the “user”, they're probably not comparing and they most likely don't care. I wouldn't trade my peace of mind knowing the markers wouldn't get on anyone or anything, especially when using them while traveling and visiting others, for a different kind. Definitely when not at home. And it's not an all-or-nothing situation. They had washable Crayola and many other art supplies. I wouldn't be quick to assume that relatively new parents know everything that came out in the last 5-15 years etc. It never hurts to pass on something that worked for you in the hopes that it will be of use to someone else. I saw Jack coloring and that light-colored couch and my “Mommy antenna” started beeping lol And, kids seem to like the “magic” of it let's not forget. There’s always room for more magic in the world. 🪄 To each, their own ✨
Y'all making me cry. Wow! May I ask are you all going back to finish taking the stuff from the house? There was still a lot of stuff there. I must say y'all are BADASSES! Who would pack up a house with two kids (all under 4) no less and go chill in Australia, while in route and on a permanent move to Utah? WHO?! HOW! Naw, y'all ain't BAD ASSES, y'all SUPER BAD ASSES! But I really enjoy logging in to see what you guys are doing next. Take exquisite care. Sunny and Jack are so blesses to have you all as parents. So sweet, loving and kind!
I'm so happy that you all got to Australia safely, enjoy yourselves to the fullest! I'm glad that everything went smoothly for the flight, except for the checking the luggage, the kids seemed to be wonderful, yes there was a couple of hiccups, however you arrived safely. It will feel a bit weird to leave Australia and go to Utah instead of Hawaii, however you guys are going to surrounded by family and friends, you both will be reunited with Lo and Tanner, as well as both sets of parents, and more of your friends. You guys will do great! Enjoy Australia, I might have missed it, but how long are you guys staying in Australia? I am so happy to hear that everyone is very nice and kind there, that's awesome and very helpful. I hope jack is feeling better. Sending love ❤️❤️❤️❤️ and hugs 🤗🤗🤗🤗 to all of you.
Gorgeous view at the end. Enjoy your travels in life (even with the little ones), those memories are going to be epic when you are showing your kids and then grandkids!!!!
Ahhhhhh I'm excited for you guys! I'm from Sydney Australia and I've been watching your videos for ages! I hope you love and enjoy your time here down under!!!!
Welcome to Australia, enjoy your break. I hope Jack feels better soon. We brought our kids here from Scotland when they were little - such a long trip. 24 hours in the air alone, then an 8 hour train trip after - I think we were travelling for 36 hours all up. They were amazing. Kids often surprise us with their resilience.
As an Aussie who has done the Sydney-L.A. flight a number of times, breaking the trip up with a one night stopover in Hawai’i is the only way to do it and stay sane. Have a great time on the Gold Coast and travel mercies when you head back to the US. Thankfully your kids are good little travelers. Welcome to Oz!

So glad you made it safe!! We travel to New Zealand and AUS every couple years to see family and this past October we took my 10 month old and I was so nervous but I was so surprised how well he did on the plane! The long plane (woo) rides are tough for the little ones and running it out is definitely the best. When we came back to the states, we let my son actually run all the way to customs and we took our time going to customs and it helped so much! Not only did he get his energy out, but the line was much smaller than right after we got off the plane. Have the best time in AUS!
Those bassinet seats are a sanity saver! Found out about them when I flew from Fairbanks, AK to Omaha, NE in 1986 when my daughter was 5 days old. She did great! I was in agony. Lol

What great memories y’all are making and the kids will have all the blogs. On my 7th birthday, we flew from San Antonio, Texas to Taipei, Taiwan. My older sister was 9, younger sister 2 and mom was 7 months pregnant. We had lay overs in Seattle, Washington and Tokyo, Japan. We flew back to San Antonio, Texas 2 years later. My Dad had pneumonia after our household was packed up and shipped so we spent about 2 weeks in a hotel. We spent about a week as a layover in Seattle, Washington so it took almost a month from house to house. I don’t know how my folks did it! Love y’all, Derek, Sarah, Jack and Sunny! So now, when you go out to visit Hawaii, it will be extra special!😊❤️
I am a 57-year-old mom who misses her sons dearly!
Jack speaks so well. Love his Lil personality ❤
That is so sweet thank you!! He's so chatty hahah
I think Jack speaks so well because Derik and Sarah didn't talk that idiotic baby talk to him all the time. 👏👍👍♥️
No, he doesn't. He's cute as hell. However. For a two year old his speech should be much better. It's also time to start potty training.
@@fairyqueen56,
Do you live with them? Every child is different. I am a Mom of 5 and Grandma of 13! I personally think he speaks really well! Also, potty training on vacation and during a HUGE move would be crazy …. 😂 you’re a hoot!

Wow, you all went to Australia!, Amazing👍. So happy that you show everyone that its possible to travel with little children. I Love following you guys and feel a part of your wonderful family! Enjoy and have fun on the Gold Coast,,😀😍 2:00
Sunny is looking more like her daddy every day,Jack is like mommy.
I'm a 71 yr afro american grandmother & I love your videos & those of other young couples. I'm not on any social media & only used UA-cam for Joel Osteen, gospel music & spiritual affirmations.
And that's why you do it when you're young lol...so excited to see your Australia videos!
Happy Thursday Sarah and Derik!! Can’t wait for your Australia vlogs!! Happy Easter!!🐣
Im so pleased you guys got to visit our beautiful country and experience our awesome Aussie hospitality. Love the Gold Coast ! Enjoy!
That's so sweet that you were able to take your nanny along! She looked so happy!
Nice they could afford a Nanny. They needed one!!!
I have to raise three kids, the oldest with a psychic diagnosis without any help. It's hard!!!
Thank God. Doing this kind of things alone is so freaking hard I don't have any idea how our grandmas did it! So many kids and they were at home alone most of the time 😢😢😢
Nanny?
With 2 kids..😅
You two are the sweetest parents 💗
glad you guys are loving it on the gold coast! hope you find some time to travel up a bit further north, there are some beautiful spots along the coast! the goldie has some great surf too, such a great place to stay.
Those precious babies! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Oh my gosh you are so kind! Thank you so much and we are loving Australia so far 💗💗💗💗
@@SarahAndDerik I love you guys so much. My youngest daughter and I watch all your videos and absolutely love the wholesome content. You guys are the best! ❤
What about all the things you left behind in your house? Was it furnished when you got there? So curious, I want to move without cleaning 😂😅
I’m pretty sure they were renting
Are they living here in Australia now?
Aren't they building a 2 million dollar home in Utah and showing it off.
I'm confused.
Or are they just living the life of luxury.
No they were visiting as they said on previous videos . They have a wonderful life they worked hard to have 😊and are giving their kids the best they can !
Always an adventure with the Beestons! Suggestion from a frequent traveler…figure out what you absolutely NEED for the flight home and send everything else ahead. TRY to pare down to one suitcase and check it. Love your family and your videos! Have fun! ❤️
Very happy the kids did well on the trip, enjoy beautiful Australia.
Youall are helping me SO much! I have to move to the east coast from my California home (of FIFTY years), but I’m starting to get excited about it instead of scared, thanks in large part to your experience. So a big Thank You Beeston’s! 😘 Enjoy your vacation 👍🥰
I've had good flights with my toddler and rough flights with my toddler and when it goes wrong it goes wrong so hard. 😅😅😅 It's great that you have each other to lean on in those moments❤
I just love your vlogs they are so good without any drama😊 Jack and Sunny are angels in disguise who have lighten your home. Your kids have been provided with such good manners ❤. A lots of love and blessings for your new life. May God Bless You!!! Keep you all happy and safe!! And one more thing after studying genes chapter in biology sunny is the one of the good example that genes are crazy to form a different human. I love you all a lot. Lots of hugs and kisses🎉
After the chaos of packing and getting ready for the trip it must have been a huge blessing to have a good flight! - minus the little hiccups of course 😅
So so happy for you guys!
No way not ever would I have ever considered such a trip when my kids were little. Kudos.
I did it👍
I didn’t ever dare leaving the house .

Lol those are so old I’m sure most people especially parents know about them. Thing is they run out quickly and they aren’t very bright
SUCH good advice actually thank you!!! We'll keep it in mind for the flight home 😅😅
@@kelliwillis417 I beg to differ. The ones we have are very bright. Lol.
Our granddaughters love them.
To each, their own ✨
Poor Baby Jack. Hope he is feeling better. He is just the cutest, sweetest boy. Just like Mom and Dad. Love to Sunny girl!
You guys are my favorite UA-cam family! ❤❤
They're literally the only family that I am subbed to on UA-cam 😊
Make sure to take your vitamins and plenty of coffee when you get on your next flight, lol!
Ya all are Rock Star parents!!❤️
That is so sweet thank you!!! Love you guys ❤❤❤
Tip.. DON'T get Starbucks coffee while in 🇦🇺 🦘. Get REAL coffee from one of the little cafes in Aussie. You'll thank me later !!

Welcome to Australia 🇦🇺 guys ,enjoy your stay &welcome to our Autumn 🍂
Welcome to Australia, enjoy your break. I hope Jack feels better soon. We brought our kids here from Scotland when they were little - such a long trip. 24 hours in the air alone, then an 8 hour train trip after - I think we were travelling for 36 hours all up. They were amazing. Kids often surprise us with their resilience.
Praying for a smooth moving process
Oh my goodness......Sunny in his arm bouncing along with Daddy is the cutest thing!!!!!!!
Have fun down under . Glad y,all made it. That was not an easy trip😊
It definitelyyy felt like 24 hours 😂😅 But thank you!!! ❤
Welcome to Australia 🇦🇺. I hope you guys love the Gold Coast and you all get to see and experience good weather and fun times. 💛💚
When Sunny started grunting after you said ready for the next flight after the 10 hour one 😂😂 she was def like uhhh what ??

To make things easier on the return trip, consider mailing all the luggage you don't need to someone in Utah. It would definitely help❤
Just an idea
Might be super expensive though. Definitely worth looking into it. Good tip 👍.
@@michelemoneywell8765 if they can afford to travel to Australia 🇦🇺 then they should be able to send most of their stuff home by postal service, it’s a much easier option when travelling with kids, only taking the essentials on the plane ✈️ with you and I’m sure they’ll purchase things while here in Australia 🇦🇺 for sure to take back home with them…😊🇦🇺
Shipping to the US from Australia is super expensive tho especially for weighted luggage, even if they had the money it would be a largely unnecessary cost for little reward at that point.

Have so much fun. ❤
Welcome to Australia from an Aussie I hope you guys have an amazing time ❤
