What a wonderful performance, beautiful transcription, flawlessly performed and with the typical English voicing of this organ which suits this piece so well. This was a 8:36 minute immersion into a wonder world.
He's such a brilliant transcriber of orchestral works for organ. I play some of his transcriptions e.g. Tch 1812, and find them a glorious experience to play. I've chatted to him about them (at Derby Cathedral). I truly believe that he doesn't realise how brilliant he is. Maybe that's what propels him forward!
Glorious!! I really love Jonathan's dramatic organ transcriotion of The Planets & this is 1 of my favourite parts. What an amazing rendition & fabulous accompanying shots from Tom! A great video, thanks for sharing. xx
The Scott brothers fill a much-needed niche for organ transcriptions of many of the greatest pieces from the classical repertoire. Many thanks and much admiration!
Such a sensational piece of music, it inspires me to live. I absolutely adore the orchestral version and have always struggled to find good transcriptions to just solo instruments. But this got me in the same place emotionally, to a place where I’m lost in a sea of beautiful music hoping it won’t end. If you see this comment then I give you a whole standing ovation. Also going to listen to it again for good measure ❤
I can't decide if I'm more in awe of your skills as a transcriber or as a virtuoso....so I will simply enjoy the fruits of your bountiful gifts. Thank you!!
Stunning! - organ, music and performance! I especially love the Thaxted section, which is also the music for the very moving hymn “O God Beyond All Praising”. Thanks so much for a most stirring video!
Very beautiful! It's an incredible performance in a fascinating and incomparable video set in a majestic ancient cathedral! Thank you both for the wonderful video! ❤❤
Amazing how Jupiter came to hover over Jonathan's right shoulder about halfway through as if to signal approval of what he was hearing. Nice touch Tom!
Another orchestral work transcription??? Gee what a surprise. I can understand why after all there were almost NO organ works composed between 1600 and 1750. OH wait there WERE!

Jonathan and Tom bring joy to me daily. XX
Not all orchestral works transcribe well into works for organ, but this one does. Another wonderful performance, Jonathan!

@@JSB2500 Both Jonathan and Tom are unique. They also pair up well as brothers and compliment each other's talents.
Nothing nebulous about this performance, it's stellar, sunny, and a bit celestial. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Over the moon you shared this. 🌜 Thanks! 🎹🎶

Mankind is capable of some simply amazing feats and I think what Jonathan does time after time on the organ is a perfect example of this.

BRAVO! Magnificent! Beautiful! Thank you!
Amazing how Jupiter came to hover over Jonathan's right shoulder about halfway through as if to signal approval of what he was hearing. Nice touch Tom!
I'm sure Jove _would_ approve (who wouldn't!), but I think you'll find that's a big model of Earth (in Chester cathedral), not Jupiter.
Wonderful stuff!
The pipe organ is simply a wonderful instrument and this piece is played superbly thanks again
If I could play like this, I would never stop. Never. 😍

I would buy the music sheets just for this hymn alone!
3:08 - 4:48 - 5:28
Reminds me of the Wedding of Lady Diana Spencer.
This melody sounds like japan anime videogames
It's interesting how similar it sounds to some legend of Zelda music.

Stunning performance!
