      The dwarves that Aule created were more like automatons they weren’t really life like at all, this is actually a theme in all of Tolkien’s work no Valar can create life they can only alter it as only Eru can create life. That’s why Melkor didn’t create orcs he instead kidnapped elves and disfigured them into orcs, the ents are also the same Yavanna helped create them but only by the permission of Manwe and consequently Eru could they have life, this just adds more depth to LOTR that I really enjoy.

    Eru didn't choose to be involved in Gollum's death but Gollum broke the promise of not attacking the Master. You see, in Tolkien's universe, words and promises have more power than weapons. We shall remember the curse of Isilidur upon the Death Armi which couldn't keep their promise to aid for Last Aliance. We shall not forget about Finrod who fought Morgoth with Music. If Eru truly had a made in the LotR is under the shape of Tom Bombardil and inspiration for bravery. Gandalf was sent back by Manwe to finish his work as he was the last of the Istari who could have aid against Sauron. And Gandalf was hope, for everyone...that was his greatest power...and guess what, Eru had hope for Melkor when he gave a chance to the world when first Music of Ainur was disrupted... Eru knew all the time what is about to come and filled all good hearts with hope. Manwe had hope for Melkor, Aule had hope for his creation, Erendil had hope when he sailed west, Beren had hope when he confronted Morgoth, Thingol had hope that Eol will be brave and accept his faith...and hundreds and hundreds of examples... Sam had hope when no one had anything left in their hearts.

A common misconception (thanks to the movie changing what Tolkien’s original story stated) is that Elrond summoned each of the characters but in fact, all the right people to create the perfect team necessary for the task were there at the same time due to “chance”. I knew about Numenor’s destruction but Eru making gollum trip would never be known if it wasn’t for his letters. It’s good to know that evil would have won if not for God “accidentally” putting his foot out to trip someone, in a metaphorical sense.

      @danielmitchell671 Рік тому +3

      as someone else has stated in the comments, saying he made gollum trip is a hugely simplistic way of putting it. It wasnt so much that gollum tripped it was more that gollum played an intergral part of getting the ring there and also in the end attacking frodo (his master) after he promised to protect. So it was a series of events that ultimately led to the rings demise, with the trip at the end being just one of them

    Because he's a min-max entity, aka a Frugal God. Good will triumph over evil, barely. So long as Good wins out in the end, that's all that he wants. He's spending the least amount of effort for the most rewarding outcome. Unfortunately for us he really does perceive victory as a pure binary system, either we win or we lose. He has given us just enough to ensure that we win, the system continues, no more, no less.

    Even though Morgoth didn’t claim to serve Eru, all Morgoth did was to the glory of Eru’s creations. Morgoth was incapable of doing anything else.

    • @NoThatRyan
      @NoThatRyan 2 роки тому +4

      That's just wrong. Twisting and perverting the elves into orcs was a huge sleight by Morgoth against Eru. The elves were Iluvatar's favorite creation. He also helped Ungoliant destroy the Two Trees. I mean almost everything Morgoth did was an insult and an affront to Eru Iluvatar, including trying to sow discord in the music that would create the world.

    • @Loe_Jist
      @Loe_Jist 2 роки тому +2

      No, that's not what Morgoth did. He wanted to dominate the songs at the beginning of time and created harsh dissonances. His entire existence from then on was based on defiance and self-interest. He was unable to truly create life or a different world in the way that Eru Iluvatar could, but he wanted to corrupt and taint the world as much as possible in a way that bent it to his will.
      Although, since Eru Iluvatar is all-powerful and all-knowing and created Melkor, it's possible that he actually KNEW that Melkor would become such a defiant and destructive being. Maybe it was his intention all along. If that's the case then you'd be right.

      @@Loe_Jist in the Ainulindale Eru says that nobody could alter the music in his despite. Any attempt to do so will prove to be a good and end up being an instrument to produce things more wonderful that had not been imagined. Morgoth claimed to not serve Eru and did all he could to destroy the work of his peers, but that was the path appointed to him by Eru.

      Wouldn’t really say that personally. Melkor (aka Morgoth) was the first valor and the first creation of Eru. The first child in a way. He was the most intelligent and powerful being after Eru which is why he turned dark. Not because he was envious of Eru but because he couldn’t create life. So he reverted to twisting and manipulating Eru’s creations initially to create his own “life” and later to mock Eru out of frustration. I mean you can blame Eru for all that happens and that is probably why Eru doesn’t personally destroy or defeat Melkor as he either understands his frustration or believes that Melkor needs to go through this process and either embrace it or eventually accept it at some point. But as it stands on the existing lore Melkor doesn’t glorify but rather mock Eru’s creation which is all out of envy. Basically Eru makes him the most powerful being apart from him but refusing to give him power to create his own living beings. Aule created the dwarfs and also tried his best to bring them to life but failed so he would artificially animate them. Eventually Eru gave them life. Aule is the closest to Melkor in mind and philosophy which is perhaps why his Maiar like Sauron and Saruman defect to Melkor as they are taught to question more rather than do as told.

    the real God of middle earth is JRR Tolkein. For he is outside the spine of the book, the matrix. In it he created all characters and life, landscapes, realms and dimensions for his pleasure. Frodo can never behold his face, for he exist outside the framework, and for Frodo to behold him would be for Tolkein to behold himself.
