And keep in mind I'd never heard anybody call him attractive before since I'd never heard of him before. That was my uninfluenced genuine first reaction to Ted Bundy. The family he made w/ liz & her child is really fascinating. She sees a cute guy dressed well sitting in a bar alone. She goes to talk to him. They dance & she is so smitten w/ him. She got drunk & he offered to drive her home. They go & he helps her inside. She said he put her in bed & like a true " gentleman " lays on top of the covers doesnt remove his clothes doesnt try anything like kiss her or get fresh. When she wakes up she sees him making this big breakfast for her & her little daughter. They were together from then on. She says he is so good w/ molly like a dad. He teachers her to ride a bike he entertains her friends in the rain by having them all catch rain on the underside of the umbrella. He takes liz to his favorite restaurants he brings her to his passion an oriental rug store to show her his favorite designs on the rugs. Literally treats them like a good husband wiuid treat his own wife & child. Plus he is in law school so liz is happy for him that he will be successful & get all he wanted. That is the story of their early happy years. U almost want to say " how could u be this happy w/ this family & going to law school & throw it all away ?"
The fact that he first did not kill her the night they met is amazing but that he was a total gentleman & did not take advantage that she was drunk & just slept next to her not even getting under the covers I guess I'd love to know why he didnt kill her. I sorta get as time went by he did not kill them b/c he was smart enough to know of u kill someome ur close to ull be caught way more than random killing. So again that first night is what u get stuck on. Why was she spared. He could have easily killed her & nobody would have known. I know molly told the mice story. Maybe he felt something good in liz ( she seems so sweet & kind & so decent ) that he had not felt & it maybe quite the demon within. I'm curious to read her book. I feel for all the victims & their families but Liz breaks me heart b/c she is so hard on herself. Hes the monster not her. He showed her kindness & showed her the person he wanted her to see. She has nothing to be ashamed of but she is ashamed . I'm sure some jerks out there have said things to her but this " man" was good to her & her daughter & she loved him. He did not abuse them or treat them bad. I think bundy is incapable of empathy or love but as much as he was capable of something resembling love that's who he showed liz & what single mom wouldnt love this " nice " guy being a father figure & a good one to her child ? I hope she has peace. In other interviews even here I think she is still in love w/ ted sadly that person ted showed her doesnt exist. She knows that on some level given her book title " phantom prince " that's exactly it.
She also did turn him in when she heard about a couple girls killed in Utah. She loved him & yet still turned him in which had to be hard b/c nobody had proved yet that he even killed anyone. The other woman who married him in prison & stupidly got pregnant by him I really dont know what was up w/ her. Who starts a relationship w/ a man on trial for 3 murders & is highly suspected of killing at least 37???

reasons that should have clued Liz in to Bundy's true nature:
    1. He touched Molly inappropriately and was photographed doing it. Liz probably took the photos with Ted's hands close to Molly's chest and genitals. These photos were taken on Christmas, 1974, AFTER Liz had started to have doubts about him.
    2. He burst into where she was taking a bath and photographed Molly naked. This happened at Molly's grandparents house when they were home. So, witnesses.
    3. Liz had caught him retrieving a crowbar hidden behind the apartment radiator. He was sneaking around to get it. He looked sheepish when she caught him. Lots of people have crowbars but HIDDEN in the house?
    4. Liz would sometimes hold Molly in a "crotch hold." Liz saw it and rebuked him but still allowed him near her daughter. This manner of touching occurred before Liz suspected him of murder.
Reading the first edition of the book, I was dismayed at the way Molly was treated. She was left with a babysitter her mother did not know. She was drunk so often that other people had to take care of the daughter. Most of the references to Molly in the book seemed negative: she chattered, she required patience, she was in the way.... All parents feel that at times but there were so many negative comments and so few positive ones. Her mother ignored signs of possible abuse--see above.
Reading the second edition, I learned it was worse as described in 1, 2, and 4.
    Poor Molly.

But in reality if you saw Ted in real life or in a picture, you'd suspect nothing from him and consider him normal looking, and in some cases maybe even handsome. This is how Ted was able to gain the trust of 30+ women who thought they were just helping an innocent normal young man in crutches out before Ted let out his true evil once they're under his control. Ted's kill total would've potentially been alot less if he didn't appear normal looking.

Think of the alibi: his credit card was being used to fill his car. In those days, there were few security cameras, so he established a pretty good alibi and used his girlfriend to do it.

That "love" he had for them is a complete lie. Psychopaths, sociopaths & narcissists are not capable of emotion, let alone love. They want to make you believe that they love, manipulating you into staying despite their abusive behavior. They only fake love to get something out of you. Ted may have wanted a fake family, to appear successful & accomplished, given the fact that having a family was and is still seen by many as the absolute goal of life. Also, he received unconditional love & admiration from Kendall & Molly. A narcissist would never just say no to that. They are prone to living (at least) 2 different lives. People with narcissistic personality disorder are the same, only that most of them don't kill (or haven't killed yet). Guys, if you meet someone & instantly feel a connection, wait a few months until you get to know them better before giving your heart & future to them. There are really dangerous people among us, who appear incredibly charming & who are capable of manipulating you into anything, but who are actually just using you & feeding off of the love you give to them. Your gut feeling will tell you when something is off about a person, you just need to LISTEN. Please, stop ignoring red flags; you already know what to run away from. My soon to be ex-husband threatened to kill me many times every time I mentioned divorce. Threats are what kept a marriage full of lies, cheating, and exploitation alive. Be smarter than me & be careful who you give your trust to.

He also took Polaroid photos of the women while he tortured and killed them (later, he knew the cops were after him so he destroyed those photos). The part about bringing decapitated heads home to have sexual relations with was also not mentioned until long after he was dead.

A single man would seem more likely to commit the crimes rather than a family man with a clean record. After, if his family would just “disappear” then it would make him highly suspicious, and from what we hear, he’s pretty smart and a master manipulator, so getting rid of the two of them would bring too much trouble on his part

If he could get away with killing them he really would, I believe he was tempted to... And that 12 year old's murder was probably to tame his temptation to kill his gf's daughter.

I hate the fact that people explain away people's actions by saying they had a hard upbringing. There are literally billions of children growing up in amazing poverty and in situations that would see them in physical and or mental anguish for years or decades, and yet never grow up to hurt anyone, much less kill others. No, Ted and others like him are Psychopathic Narcissistic killer. They don't need an excuse or reason to kill. They have no guilt, no empathy and cannot love anyone.

When I watch this video I think of back in 2016, a very handsome young guy of probably around late 20's early 30's dark brown hair and eyes, clean shaven, wearing business clothes, had stopped in front of me, and blocked the path, so I'd have to stop. He said to me I don't normally do this, but I seen you walking and you look cute, and I was thinking maybe you could use a ride. He then said I'm not some kind of pervert. I told him no thank you, I actually like to walk. While a lot of women would of thrown caution to the wind coming from such a handsome and harmless looking guy, Ted Bundy always stuck in my mind of what he did and also what he did in Florida which is where I'm from. What made things really creepy was after me turning him down it wasn't enough, he persisted several times saying that he was a good guy, worked as a realtor, and many people in town knew him. I don't know if he did know anyone in town, but it didn't matter, because he was still a stranger to me, and I don't accept rides from complete strangers ever, no matter how good they look, or how friendly they seem. I still kept refusing, I told him look I gotta go, and he finally gave up, luckily I was in town by a busy highway. Not some desolate area, where people would not be able to see. Maybe who knows he might of been harmless, and just wanted to give me a ride, but no way was I risking it. Btw, I go to many of the local hangout places in my town, and for someone who supposedly many folks in town knew and seen him, funny that I've never come across him before, and never seen him since that day.

The persistence you're describing is a common red flag, according to Gavin De Becker in his book "The Gift of Fear"--which I think should be required reading for every woman.

How the hell do you know? In a biography of Ted Bundy it was described how at the age of FIVE he surrounded a sleeping female relative (I think it was his aunt but I can't recall) with KNIVES. That is definitely not "made". From everything I've read about psychopaths, they are born that way. Many show lack of conscience and lack of empathy from a young age.

Look at his eyes... evil blank
His laughs never reaches his eyes
He kills ladies to project his emotional damage to get rid of the deep seated trouble.
Also he could switch on n switch off his evil restless and pretentious personalities at his will.
Such ppl have no empathy what they understand is pain so when he inflicts pain onto others he FEELS good abt himself. Sick
I also feel now... the so called "players" who date multiple women/men n ghost them n move on from one to another..
