10 Worst Games Of 2007
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 жов 2024
- You’d think that by the year 2007 the industry would have learned all the lessons that there were to be learned when it comes to developing video games. After all, they’d had decades to hone the craft, and bad titles should have been a thing of the past. Alas, it seems that nobody had gleaned anything from the scores of awful games that had come before as studios continued to churn out steaming piles of ploppers for yet another year, so once again we’re forced to name and shame the absolute worst of the bunch. Here are the 10 Worst Games of 2007.

The thing I loved the most about "worst games" was reading the scathing reviews in GamePro and EGM video game magazines. Reviews of good games were always informative but ones roasting a bad game were so entertaining.
I always enjoyed the “shame of the month” from EGM.
Something that still holds true to this very day.
A crappy game just getting slam dunked is always so fun.
I miss EGM that magazine was the shit
Ah Damn gamepro you got my nostalgia drives overheating
Oooh boy, when I saw 2007 I knew this was going to be a bad time, since that's when Wii Shovelware really kicked into high gear. Are we going to need to limit Wii games in future worst lists to stop them from dominating?
I'd love to see the games featured on Worst Games Ever ranked based on ratings and their experience
All Worst Games Ever or just from TripleJump? Because there is also Vidiots and (where it started) as well.
@@Mashangi specifically this channel. They're getting close to 100 worst games
As a Brit who moved to USA decades ago, I can confirm that the real Wiffle ball is good fun and quite safe to play when completely smashed.
You should have introduced them to rounders lol
Actually harmless drunk fun and preparing meat in just so many delicious ways: two things I think you'll agree America is actually quite good at!
As a Brit who didn't betray the crown (jk), I am the type to say wiffle ball is for panzies and play baseball pissed and regret once my drunk ass gets hit by a well thrown ball to the body and hopefully not the face, late to wish I was playing wiffle ball
So is cricket..
this sounds like a challenge
Alternative title “The Ugly side of the Wii library”
The first season of Little Britain was legitimately quite inspired with a few of its one-off characters and wasn't always just crass humour for the sake of it. Later on yeah, it was just repetitive, predictable gags, even more one note characters and shock humour.
As much as I love the Wii, this list shows why getting Nintendo seal of approval was not just good, but right. There was a mountain of horrible shovelware on that system.
My grandad used to love Deal or No Deal on DS.
Granted it was the UK version instead and it probably didn’t have the same exploit but I could never understand why he liked it so much
Alzheimers
@@maegnificant Maybe the home comfort of playing a game show on the go,maybe alzheimers maybe not.
Fun Fact: Chickenshoot is based on a german classic called "Moorhuhn". By now there are over 30 different games in that series and one of the first was Germanys most popular computer game in the early 2000s
You know it's gonna be a great list when the "highest" rated entry is an abysmal 26.83%
Crusin' USA was a amazing game, it's draw distance was the result of system limitations, not poor game design. And about Crusin' on the Wii, it wasn't even a new game in the series, it was just a port of The Fast And The Furious arcade game to the Wii with the Crusin' name slapped onto it, Midway didn't even bother removing the real world car licence that the Fast And The Furious game used, as one of the cars in the game is clearly the Dodge Charger that Vin Diesel used in the first film and briefly in Tokyo Drift.
I remember trying to convince my friend it was NOT part of the actual Crusin' series. He still bought it anyways and regretted it. That is why (at least back then) you rent games first if you are unsure about them.
@@ThatShyGuyMatt
You tried, A for effort.
I think the bad draw distance was also inexperience with the hardware. Cruisin world had much better draw distance.
When you write a pun in a script, it is VERY MUCH intended. Own your terrible pun!
5:16 Somewhere in the US, the good old "SNES Drunk" felt a little glimpse of joy out of nowhere when the name "Ken Griffey Jr." dropped.
Yarris. I remember that game. Even when free, no one wanted it. I payed it for the beyond easy achievements and never touched it again.
this is my favorite series by far. i wish there was a specific playlist instead of general Top X Lists playlist
Nice to know I’m not the only that seems to get more pleasure from watching bad old games, rather than good ones!
>Most of the games on the list being Wii shovelware
Yeah, that sounds about right.
How are you guys still a somewhat small channel with some of the best gaming content on UA-cam? You guys are top tier!!! Keep it up
You know the games are truly ploppers when the game in 10th is rated 26.38%
2:44 is that John Cena?
"Official" Wiffle Ball rules state..."No gloves or running of bases"
Fun fact: here in Britain, Ken Griffy Jr is more well known for having a grotesquely swollen jaw.
FUN FACT: Cruis'n is acutally a port of the Fast and Furious arcade game. Midway lost the rights to the movie franchise so they lazily renamed to just Cruis'n and called it a day.
You know it's bad when the 10th lowest game is under 30%
woahhhh i know you did not throw shade at Doritos Crash Course. that game was amazing
Manhunt 2? Maybe not the worst but definitely the most horrifying
Cool Spot & Push Over were both ‘advert’ games of a sort. And they were both awesome.
Also, RoboCod on the Amiga plugged the Penguin choccy biccy a lot.
The wii console was full of shovel ware games. Lots of aweful low quality junk
Hey... Doritos Crash Course was amazing actually
Ah, 2007, the start of the great Wii shovelware epidemic
you know what makes that Jenga game even worse, the fact that boom Blox Came to town about one year later and did that idea so much better. By the way, I think Boom Blox is an underrated Wii game. Don't touch the N-Gage version though.
Based on years of watching these guys I don't believe them when they say No Pun Intended
Jesus the Wii shovelware was in full force here lol
Man that’s gotta be one of the best thumbnails I’ve ever seen
how did my mom manage to buy me nearly all of these games
You did NOT just diss Doritos Crash Course like that!?
That Private Pyle edit was hilarious
That Come Dine With Me reference had me
Same, glad I wasn’t the only one who appreciated it!
Chicken shoot is Scott the Woz' jam.
I was 21, so I dont really remember this year that well
The call for heros looks straight up like a 2002 game
Chicken shoot was called Moorhühner "moorhens" in Germany and was released in 1998 was THE shit! I played it as a kid and it was amazing....the Wii game was just....milking the hen...which obviously had to end badly.
i only clicked this video because it was more interesting than a video about some boring american shops
I used to own chicken shoot! it was really dull😂😭
When the Wii became known for its shovelware.
Forgot how many shovelware games there were on Wii
The Best Nintendo DS Game of 2007 is Spectrobes.
Facts so much fun
@@coochie8670 yes, it is, Cooch! We're trying to play Spectrobes Origin for Nintendo Wii, and we were watching Full Metal Panic and World Trigger on Tubi, for now!
Mark sounds like a pretty cool game NGL, thank you Triple Jump for introducing and alerting me to another obscure PC game i'd never heard of before! I recently played Lula 3-D and enjoyed it quite a bit.
This is the type of content I didn't knew I need in my life
Little Britain needs a remake!
the poultry pun 😭😭
my parents bought me game party when I was little. even as a toddler I knew the game was trash. what a waste of money. I can't believe this sold 2 million copies. I still have the disk to this day. _shudders_
Crusin' USA in the arcade was ok. Enjoyable, just not up to the standards of the Sega and Namco racers of the same time. The N64 port was pretty bad however.
Not going to lie, whenever Ben pauses before a bad pun, I still somehow anticipate a #crapgameforwankers gag
So the Wii-game Chicken Shoot is in fact a cartoony version of the well-known Moorhuhn Shooter?
Doritos Crash course was fun tho
Fun fact about Wiffle Ball. It was a port of a flash browser game on Nabisco World. I played it all the time when I was a kid.
I actually played Little Britain. For 10 minutes. I never got past the first stage, (the Vicky Pollard rollerblading one) because I couldn't figure out the dreadful controls. I hate that game.
Wait... are you saying Wiffle Ball DS *WASN'T* a good game? _[Clutches pearls.]_
Wow, I was actually shocked that "Call For Heroes" came out in 2007 (I even Googled it because I didn't believe it lol). It looks like something that could have come out in the late 90's or early 2000's.
Great stuff guys and gal!
I do seem to remember a lot of Wii titles felt like shovelware games mashed together and dressed up in a theme of some kind. Even at the end things like "Carnival Games" became the Galador of the video game isle.
Oof, DoND having the "NES Bubble Bobble Problem" could've been solved with a simple random number. NES Bubble Bobble Problem was that all of the games powerup appearances are derived from counts of player actions - since the NES game didn't have a save state, all the scores were reset to 0 at boot. Even randomizing the stats at the start of the game would've been increased the game's replayability tremendously.
Quality content lads
My graduation year. I'm going to feel very old watching this aren't I?!
What until he finds out pitchers throw the ball out of the strike zone on purpose in real life lol
The thing with Wiffle balls is, they've got holes on one side, and not the other, which effects the flow of air around the ball, so you can get a lot of pretty good movement out of them while pitching. It's also way harder to break a window or something with a plastic ball.
We still have a shit ton of Cruisin USA arcade cabins here in southern Brazil, especially in Beaches. Terrible cabins, terrible game. Time and money waster.
2007 seems like a rough year for Nintendo games.
The wii was perfect for companies making God awful things assuming random people will buy anything. Because it was aimed at a broad audience compared to a xbox.
You need a non Nintendo/PC version where shovelware reigned.
I was around when Cruis'n USA first came out. I even remember Cruis'n World. I didn't even know they made a Wii version. 😬
I know it was basic, but I remember doritos crash course to be pretty fun back then. Kinda wanna turn on my 360 again and see if it holds up at all
It does, in my opinion.
objection. Dorito’s crash course was sick
#10 Chicken Shoot, of course it looks dated it was first released in 2000 for the PC (was well received) and was 'inspired' by Moorhuhn from 99.
Holy crap, Wiffle Ball is just a port of that Flash game I used to play online in the mid-2000s!
Exactly what I was thinking. It was on Candystand if I’m not mistaken.
It kept sounding like he was saying "chicken shit" instead of chicken shoot...
When Vickie Pollard is in the thumbnail, you know this is going to be a.... 'treat.' Yeahbutnobutyeahbutnobutthatshowwasawful. Mr. Mann was good, though.
Starting at 26%. This one will be good!
2007 also had good games:
The Witcher
Assassin's Creed
Mass Effect
The Witcher may not have the best gameplay (it's not that hard), but I enjoy the story & exploring Vizima. I always play it before The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings & The Witcher 3 The Wild Hunt. Play Price of Neutrality & Side Effects before it too (like playing Leliana's Song before Dragon Age Origins). Surprised they didn't just port it to consoles, move the cursor with the right control stick and press another button to click (Secret of Monkey Island works fine on Xbox), got the Steam Controller configuration mapped the way I want it. There are no achievements, so you can play on the easiest setting 👍
No difficulty setting for Assassin's Creed, but the only achievements I didn't get there involved collecting the flags because I got bored looking, but I have to get all the feathers in the next game because Brotherhood said Ezio did. I found Unity's gameplay harder than AC1, is it really so hard pressing X to counter or B to grab break and A to regain balance 🤔 (just avoid combat until you unlock all those)
Mele just made Mass Effect even better, still hoping more mods get ported, but at least I don't have to worry about the controller mod conflicting with anything anymore. Also like that the default FemShep is included in the first two games, but even a custom Shepard stays consistent now
I own all 3 witcher games and have only played the first and loved it the second I got past the prologue and it wouldnt play smoothly after that but I want to finish it before I start 3 so probably end up buying it on the 360. Good to see that others have actually played it though I never hear it meantioned
People didn’t like Cruisn USA? I used to love that game on 64
I'm pretty sure "the mark" Ripped off that movie "training day" with Ethan Hawk and Denzel
I remember when PC Gamer had a little section for each review, recommending something similar to play. When they reviewed Little Britain: The Video Game, the only point of comparison was "actual dog ****"
i'm kind of vibing on the background music, it's rather catchy for some reason
"You’d think that by the year 2007 the industry would have learned all the lessons that there were to be learned when it comes to developing video games." That's the Industry for you........ Mostly Nintendo! They had lots of Shovelware for the Wii since the Game system was coming off the Shelves and going into Parent's House...... Mostly the Casuals who never a Game System a Day in their Life!
I can’t tolerate the slander of crash course. It was great!
I feel like this is the more based version of WhatCulture gaming channel.
Goodness...such a shame what WhatCulture has turned into now.
6:41 *slowly raises hand*
I got bought the Little Britain PS2 game...I couldn't get past the Vicky Pollard bit...it got played about 5 times and then I threw it.
Hope we get an individual video just for little Britain game.
It'd just be them getting offended so it wouldn't be an interesting watch
@@yourcucumberissoftandyourg3114 turns out they did a little Britain video on their previous channel.
You are correct. They cried about it not being woke enough.
Chicken Shoot looks like a late 90s educational game.
Jenga's more fun in Halo. lol. Cheaper too, because you get a well-regarded FPS along with it.
We never learn, games today are worse than ever.
I liked game party when I was a kid. Haven't played it since though.
Oh, yeah! Here we go! Sports time!
Wasn't the problem with Cruis'n USA the fact that Midway tried to port the game to the Nintendo 64 which clearly couldn't handle it?
For some reason my wife loved More Game Party for some reason and would usually want to play that rather than Wii Sports.
I loved Cruis'n, mostly because I really wanted to love Cruis'n USA/World/Exotic on the Wii.
Jesus this, Moses that Abraham hit me with a wiffle ball bat
Chicken shoot is the first on one of these lists I've actually had and played :D
I didn't know Yaris had a game....wtf even?!?!?
Chicken Shoot looked like a cheap knock-off of the great NES game Duck Hunt
I remember Yaris, it was a free game and that was about it.
