- This series is for Microsoft Flight Simulator's new A310 developed by iniBuilds. It is a free aircraft in the 40th Anniversary Edition which is now live.

As someone who finds the big jets rather overwhelming I really appreciated this guide.
Its all possible over time, it is of course overwhelming, but with some time you will understand some systems and procedures how to do X :)

I always liked to do things manually while operating an aircraft and thats one reason I remained with single props for 2 years since release. Ive heard great positive feedbacks for commercial airliners and decided to give it a try and so pleased to have found such great tutorials, especially for FMS entries and getting your airline in the air. Once again, Thank you so much for all the big effort you guys have put in.

Up arrow pushes the text up the screen so we can see lower on the list. That's how I think of it that doesn't hurt my brain.
Many thanks for this the best intro I have seen (and I have seen many). I will use this for other aircraft though as unfortunately like many others who have reported I get CTD every time I get all the electrics up and running so deleting the A310
Thank you so much for this tutorial. This is easily the most complex aircraft for Xbox users now. I hope to get enough knowledge to be able to teach someone else how to do it.

hello it's a shame on the xbox version there is no passenger cabin even no window and impossible to use the co-pilot AI mode it does not work
I think once they add the enhanced version to the marketplace it should fix that issue… hopefully they do or I’ll be very disappointed
The A310 is great BUT for me, it seems I can't put my throttle on idle as it automatically activates reverse thrust on the ground...

here is a way to understand why the UP button on the FMC is used to see further down the page: to see more of the page, the content of the page is moving UP.
Great tutorial but no matter what I do the aircraft follows the tutorial exactly then gets to LAMPA and carries on straight towards Italy instead of turning to KABRE?
Even when I clear the discontinuity, and tell I to go direct from my approach to descent, it doesn’t follow the path and won’t go to the destination. Any thoughts?

THOSE WITH FPS PROBLEMS: The addons from the marketplace is not compiling the WASM properly, hence it does not install the files where they need to be on your system. No fix for this unfortunately until Asobo gets us a hotfix as soon as possible.
Is that voice on video from same guy than Airline2sims excellent a320 cadet program? Sounds bit same.
Why when going through a checklist, when an item is ticked it says “copilot processing” for so long?
@pmdg Could learn a bit by inibuilds...building the plane to be compatible with the world planner...awesome.
I don’t see the A310 base model listed in the Marketplace for Xbox
I know it's too late as the whole series is now out, but the VAST majority of players have a 16:9 aspect ratio screen/TV so watching this already loaded view with a lot of small writing and needles all over the place on a seriously cropped and blurry video really does no good for a tutorial :(
Is there no way to get the flight plan pre programmed into mcdu from the world map just like in a320. It's a really long process when you only have little time
I still didn't tried the a310, I'll do in a few hours but doesn't it have Simbrief integration? The A32nx and the 737 can do this and will calculate everything for you

Guys, if you wanna fly these..and maybe the PMDG 737/Fenix a320s..plan on starting cold and dark. You won't fully understand the plane if you dont

My planes usually start with rb and dpad but for some reason this one wouldn’t. I pressed a couple buttons on my controller and ended up teleporting 1000 feet in the air with the plane on lol
Should really have started from Simbrief here. I know it's not a MS product, but it's what any serious flight simmer uses to provide their full OFP
The vast majority of the MSFS user base does basic flight planning in game, so it only makes sense to cater the information accordingly.
I really need SimBrief integration. It's absolutely indispensable for me flying airliners.

Then this video is not for you, bucko. It clearly states this is for people having no idea how to fly liners, and that you personally should go watch the "returning to liners" series of videos they put out, geared towards a more serious simmer.
If I've already entered departure and destination... Why do I need to enter it again in FMC?
Won’t let me clear the f pln discontinuity, says not aloud.
I can’t control the vertical speed and the autopilot keeps going off cus stalling

Sadly, Xbox has a simplified version of what Pc got so we won’t have everything. I don’t even think simbrief is working for Xbox if ima be honest it just stays on pending for me.
I do all of this but it keeps stalling after takeoff it won’t speed up
How do you set the transponder? Every time I take off atc gets on me about it and I don't know how to set it.
Will the ATC tell me when to decent or do I have to "guess" it?

This is a quick start flight for people that never flies liners. This is not for airline simmers that know what they're doing.

Most likely because they have not gotten it working yet. They have to rework alot more stuff so its gotten delayed, its been explained a few times even... hopefully it will come soon, I get that its sad and annoying. I had the DC6 from PMDG for a year and never flew it because it was terrible without the WASM support even on PC, so I get it. I think the aim is January if I remember correctly.

Fix the f---ing game. I CANT EVEN OPEN IT WITHOUT IT CRASHING AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT DOES NOT RESPOND TO MY REQUESTS. I have a high performance computer and its really disappointing to see all of this content released for a BROKEN game.
